My mom used to have a thermostat like This when I was growing up and we all hated it. The fact that they're so complicated and the menus makes so little sense that need have to seek out TH-cam videos just to navigate them speaks volumes.
I'm so glad that I have a thermostat I can control with my cell phone.
THIS THERMOSTAT IS A PIECE OF CRAP. I CAN'T GET OFF PERMANENT HOLD. DON'T KNOW HOW IT GOT THERE.
I watched this video a few years ago to get rid of the schedule feature. We must have accidentally hit that button - again! I remembered this video tonight and YES! Problem solved. Thank you from HOT HOT Texas!

*Used to supplement the up stairs when it gets hot outside this works very well and **Fastly.Cool** Also works good when the upstairs gets too hot in the Winter from the heater.*

thanks for the help. I set my thermostat to 78 as I was going off and when I got back it was set back to 75. I guess I needed to set hold. I hope this works.

This is my exact issue. My thermostat is at 83 at the moment even though I have it set at 75 as it is on a schedule/permanent hold. How do I remove the HOLD? Thanks!
I think something is wrong with the thermostat where I live. The inside stays on 82 even though I have the AC set to 70. I'm burning up. May have to call someone.

We are trying to figure out how to set the current day. To set the time, we just push the clock button - but how to we set the current day of the week? Saw a reference to pressing the system button on the left and then press the middle blank button across the bottom, but nothing seems to happen. We have a Trane Thermostat Model # TCONT802AS 32DAA - any ideas? Thanks.
This is the termostat we have and our "heat" option doesn't come up onto the screen. Do you think there is an issue with the thermostat?
So if you want to be Able to adjust the temperature whatever you want it to be at any time you leave it on permanent hold? I Want to be able to go up and down on the temperature whenever I want to no schedule no hold on anything. 😅
Has Trane figured out how to make one of these thermostats that can tell time? I have to offset my on/off times by 47 minutes to get it to turn off and on when I want it to.

If I want cold air to run through my house don't I set the fan on on, then the system.to cool and then set the inside temp to 50?

I have model TCONT802AS32DA Thermostat. It used to display the humidity level but now there is no percentage. I’ve went to the more button and it does pop up a new screen with the humidity but no arrows to adjust and it’s on blank percentage. I know how to get to installer setup. Do you have any suggestions?

Trane AC is a POS company. Its POS touchscreen interface was designed by POS engineers and malevolent MBAs. They do not even think about their customers, being evil imbeciles.
I was hoping you received a response. Currently sweating as my unit just had maintenance 1 week ago. I am becoming less fond of these style units, I prefer basic as well :(
@@timappelo A Trane POS dealer wants $100 to tell me my A802 Tstat is shot and God only knows how much to install another POS Trane Tstat that costs $600!; Are you shitting me??!! $800-$900 for a new POS Trane thermostat!! I am on a crusade to tell the World what a POS Trane products and their rip off company and dealers are!!! The most expensive Honeywell Programmable (from anywhere in the World) are $150 at Lowe's but naturally won't work with Trane. Sony, Apple, Trane..all Bullshit companies that have you by the whatever because you have to buy more of their junk to fix the junk you already got suckered in to buying from them in the first place!!
The touch screen is unresponsive. Parts respond but the system box will not activate. I have changed the batteries and removed power but nothing. tks

I have this exact thermostat but I can't figure out how to set the clock, even two different AC guys couldn't figure it out. They said they would have to call back to the company to find out the code to set/reset the clock but they would have to charge a fee for it, I feel I shouldn't have to be charge to have someone set the clock correctly..

@@FrYLocK41 I fixed it by throwing it in the trash and got a more better working manual version, with 4 simple options, 1 Heat, 2 Cold, 3 Off and 5, a manual temperature adjustment that goes up or down.
I agree it just came with my new house and I hate it totally don’t know how to work it

When I touch the screen it does not light up and nothing works on the screen when I try to adjust it. The screen is not blank, everything there, it just won't light up.

My Trane right side of the thermostat is not working. That is when touch display on right side number are not moving. I changed the battery, it same, any suggestion? need to change the thermostat.
Mine shows "err 91" and I've looked in the manual and gives no codes in the manual. It just says "refer to the alert code addendum". Any help is appreciated. It's getting hot upstairs.

What was your issue?
Our issue was the AC shut off completely. The thermostat gave us an “err 91” and wouldn’t allow it to work. Ended up calling AC company to fix it.
Need to set time
Nothing here about setting the clock. Today is Sunday 9:44pm. The clock says Saturday 9:44am. I hold the click button down AAAAAaahhhhhh !a!
Why does this Thermostat look exactly like the Honeywell’s Alerton VLD-362-FF model??

I think you leave it on “hold.”

@@alisoncrouso7232you have to hit hold and leave it in permanent hold. That’s the only way to get the stupid schedule to turn off

This says nothing about how to take the thermostat OFF to change the battery. This video wasn't useful for basic use.
In your video as you start to zoom in up to the thermostat control you already have it in a certain mode so how does one get to that mode you didn't show how to get there.
Because of that your video does me absolutely no good!
