There is another battery behind the screen - a 2032 disc type battery. Lots of thermostats have been replaced when they just needed a new 2032 battery.

Hi ,how can I connect the outside sensor to the thermostat Honeywell 8000

How do you change the day of the week? Mine is 24 hours behind. Ie it's displaying 5pm Sunday when it's really 5pm Monday.

So where was the troubleshooting part? Mine has a blank screen and I’ve replaced the battery, checked the breaker, etc. Hate this. Getting an old-fashioned one.

My wife thinks we need to turn on the Auxiliary heat when it's under 50 degrees outside. I'm guessing the thermostat knows when that auxiliary heat needs to turn on without our having to manually turn it on. Who's correct?
Good tutorial,but my screen says it has a permanent hold on it for the temp. How can i disregard this?
What is Aux heat on ? It shows frequently on my thermostat.
If you have a heat pump and the out side temp goes below 34 ish deg could be as low as 32-30 degrees your heat pump will not function correctly at that temp. So when it senses the low temp it will switch to emergency heat and use either the natural gas burners or electrical heat element. Keeps you from freezing in cold weather its s good thing kinda. If its coming on a lot and it's not that cool out the call a technician for service.
Hi Aaron, how do you disable Recovery mode? I have the same thermostat and have been trying to figure out how to disable this Recovery mode that it would trigger the heating furnace to turn on in middle of every night and also around noon daily. Thanks much!
Did you figure this out yet? We have the same issue but with our cool air.
You cannot disable recovery mode. This mode is there for an internal check to make sure all system parts are working. It should disappear after a few minutes. If not find your “light switch” that powers your furnace. Keep it off for 5 or so min and then turn it back on. This will manually reset the system. If the problem consists I would call your local HVAC. Could be a sensor/relay/capacitor….

+Jose Marcial This thermostat does not require a C connection to work. The only reason for the C connection is to power the thermostat and this thermostat can use batteries to do the same thing. The batteries would be placed on the back of the thermostat at the marked locations.

When I touch the buttons, it does nothing
I have this thermostat. I have it set exactly as you showed. I have one issue. I set the SLEEP for 10PM and the WAKE for 5AM. But the heat comes on at 3:30AM every morning and not 5AM? I have reprogrammed the thermostat several times, but nothing eliminates the 3:30AM issue. What can I do to fix this? Thank you for your time.

When I put it in cool, the lowest temperature will only go to 70°
I'm happy with the thermostat BUT - I did NOT see in the instructions that when you change the wires (the green wire to the C terminal), you must also do that to the furnace or it will not work.

All you need to do is set the Fan to Auto. That way the fan will only run when the heat or cooling system needs it to.
But the circulation fan still keeps coming on. Is there a way to program it to not come on or at least not as often?

My fan runs 27/7 no matter what the fan setting is. Why is that?

Yeah. This didn't help. I'm trying to program the minimum temp for cooling. It's stuck at 68. No manual I've seen for this thing has told me how to do that, but I clearly remember doing it in the past. All this video does is tell you what the owner's manual tells you. It's redundant.

All this programming is dumb for retired people who don’t come and go at regular times anymore.
I'm in my 30's and know my tech, and trying to fighter this out for my parents, this is the worst device i ever encounter, I glad i wasn't stupid enough to buy it, no one need to set a schedule on a thermostat, all we need is an on, off option and set the temperature, and I cant even get it to turn on.
