      Cheers for the Video! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you tried - Rozardner Immediate Meal Reality (probably on Google)? It is a good one of a kind guide for how to cook healthy snacks minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend Sam got great results with it.

    I love relaxing with tv series after evening walking so I like to eat while I watched tv.Porridge,boiled eggs humus or avocado sandwich, glass of milk chocolate and banana...these are choices not eating all. I will try also these. Making food plan for whole week helps from breakfast to small evening food..you sleep better when you are not hungry. Lemon water I drink all day long.

    For the first recipe, can I use regular dates? I don't like the taste of the red ones. Will the calories be the same?

    • @vtigzy
      @vtigzy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I LOVE dates but I always get Medjool dates & have never seen the red ones or even heard of them which surprises me as I know most fruits whether found here or not usually. What do they taste like??

    • @arit6086
      @arit6086 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well I had them for the first time a long time ago, and I remember I didn't like them. To me they tasted like rotted dates. Where I live, they are also alot more expensive then regular dates.

    • @vtigzy
      @vtigzy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh thanks. That doesn't sound great lol. Will keep an eye out but not hunt around for them. Could have been a bad batch though I suppose. I have had normal dates which were disgusting but usually they are so delish. My other favourite & less mainstream fruit is Persimmon. So yummy! Definitely recommend if you haven't tried them :)

    • @joannasohofficial
      @joannasohofficial  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes, of course you can replace them with medjool dates. I've done an entire recipe video on that, which you can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/xnM1dt1xBnQ/w-d-xo.html
      I LOVE Red dates, I have them as snacks, I have them in my soups and also dishes. If you buy the high quality ones from Asian grocer, they taste really good. And yes, those smaller lower quality ones do taste awful unfortunately. If you get a chance, give them another try. =D

    Hi, Joanna! I noticed that the dragonfruit you used on the yogurt parfait and rice cake was different from mine! I only have the white fleshed kind at my grocery store. Since I like to use strong flavors to keep satisfied on my diet, I'm wondering if the red flesh has more taste?

    I usally see videos of losing weight. It is so rare to find videos on *how to gain weight in a healthy way*. *Please* do more videos on gaining weight to get muscles, what to eat to gain weight for people who are thin/skinny, and how to exercise for people who are skinny and have high metabolism. Do it for the people who have been *skinny shamed* for almost their whole life just as I have been *skinny shamed* by skinny people, obese people, curvy people, big breast people but skinny body, people born with thick bones and thick veins, and by others.

      stay active, go out and get active with your friends. You're at the stage where you're body is constantly changing and developing into a beautiful young lady. Your body needs all the best nutrients for you to keep growing. Yes, reduce on junks and choose healthier option but don't ever restrict your eating or undereat, because that would affect your development. Just remember, get out, get active, have fun, eat well! xx

    I get nervous when you reference calories, as a vegan I feel like I don't need to but I'm worried I'll get fat if I don't

    • @joannasohofficial
      @joannasohofficial  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't be!! You understand your eating habits better than anyone else. I chose to put the calorie reference in, because I wanted this video to be accessible to everyone. Everyone has different eating habits, lifestyle and knowledge when it comes to food / nutrition. A lot of us might still be at the stage of understanding calories and food portion, hence I feel that it's important to highlight that. =)

      So you just starve or in desperation go to the vending machine? What you don't think people need calories at their desk jobs? What if they put in a 10 hour day and don't have time for lunch which probably isn't enough time to go to a healthy food store anyway?
