@@hubee2407 Psychool is the person who originally made this video, before he deleted his YT channel and Website, I'm also glad his website is archived as well tbh. (I may end up archiving his videos on Internet Archive as well tbh.)
@@MawdyDev That's unfortunate, he had some really helpful stuff I was using to guide people into the indieweb. I hope he's okay and nothing bad happened, and that he comes back some day.
No problem! I am confused by it, I can only assume it's due to privacy like jebby said. If I find any archives of his other videos, I'll upload them too.
he didn’t just delete the channel, he wiped his site too. fwiw i feel like it is in line with his views to do smth like that, as he def had far from positive views on social media.
I would be wary of recommending self hosting right off the bat. Unless you have some IT background, opening up your router to the world increases your risk of attack. Def start with neocities, github pages, netlify, etc. Eventually I decided to self host because I wanted to serve up larger (over 4gb) videos.
No problem! Yeah, whole channel was wiped. Unfortunately, man of the videos are lost media and I'm unable to recover them. I was able to scrap some of the more popular ones though!
was wondering why i couldn't find this guys channel..i guess that's why im not that surprised honestly, he did seem to take privacy very seriously,I guess getting rid of youtube seemed like the right choice
Curious, any luck finding more of their videos? Had just found the channel and was looking forward to exploring more of this concept. Had only caught a couple of their videos before *poof*
Yep, just found the rest of them and am uploading them now. However, 9 of them are completely gone. These are the most popular ones but they are recoverable at this moment.
Original uploader was called "psychcool" don't know what happened to him he randomly deleted all of his content and the last time he was active was on agoras road Macintosh forum where he was last seen October 15th 2024 (a weird coincidence because October 15th is my birthday) I am so concerned about what happened to him
I think i got the video where Psychcool talks about the importance of being present and talking to each other with Asuka talking with Misato over the phone
Maybe there are some other cozy web sites that would be willing to cross link to yours, you could email/message the site owner. Or try to find a compilation website which contains a bunch of links to sites like yours and ask for yours to be added.
For my text heavy site (tutorials, research, though pieces) I would have a lot of friction between writing and pushing updates. Meaning I would rarely create new content and or update those pages up to the site. Once I integrated Obsidian (or any markdown editor) and a digital garden plugin I consistently write and update the site because all the files are local (and synced between devices)
“buttons?! they’re blinkies! blinkies dammit!” I scream at my screen, tears filling my ancient, millennial eyes
You’re a hero for reuploading this. RIP Psychool, you’ll be missed.
What's that?

@@DCNRS90YT I'm triying to find his website but I had no luck. Could you post the url for me pls :D
This dude really spent a lot of time “researching” for that intro. I don’t think I’ve seen such a large collage in such a short time before.
thank you so much for uploading this! Such a useful vid, I dunno why the original guy took it down.
The entire channel looks like it's been wiped. Something sus is up.
@@MawdyDev That's unfortunate, he had some really helpful stuff I was using to guide people into the indieweb. I hope he's okay and nothing bad happened, and that he comes back some day.
He probably deleted the channel (among everything else that has his name) due to privacy concerns. I am not sure, just a guess.

i just can't thank you enough for finding this video and post it back on TH-cam. i've been trying to find this for weeks!
No problem! I'm glad I can help stop it from becoming lost media.
was shocked to find out this was wiped, thanks for reuploading it!

Thank you for uploading all of this im planning on backing up my TH-cam playlists for this reason now
All good! If you have any deleted videos I'm happy to upload them for you as to not risk your main account :)
Thank you for preserving this. One of the coolest videos I've seen last year. Sucks that the guy deleted his stuff, I enjoyed his content
10:00 I think this may be pronounced "Web log" rather than "We blog" as that is where the word blog comes from
God I feel old. Yes, blog is web log.
Literally exactly what I have been looking for

Damn i had video in my cozyweb playlist had no idea it got deleted
I cannot seem to understand this concept, people want to be online, but without peple online seeing what they share???
thanks for archiving this
I found his account on the agora macintosh cafe forum its deleted but his last seen date was october 15 Idk why that day was the last day he was seen.
Ughh, I wish it was easier to switch into this personal web stuff.

subbed just for the reup thanks so much
Thank you so much!! Glad I could help :)
this all is cool, but how to get my website out there? For people to see and read?
depending on your site. if you use a static site, you could use neocities, nekoweb, github/gitlab pages perhaps
Maybe there are some other cozy web sites that would be willing to cross link to yours, you could email/message the site owner. Or try to find a compilation website which contains a bunch of links to sites like yours and ask for yours to be added.
Try to get on a webring
when you do, for the love of the web, please add an RSS feed
