Incase anyone is wondering why I didn't go for the MCP range (wifi) is because I already have an SCP and wanted the controllers to match (OCD) and I didn't really want another wifi controlled piece of equipment. For the capabilities of the MCP I didn't see the need for it when I can just press a button. Also I wanted both my SCP to link up (master/slave) which I have now done 😀
Hey, I believe mine tops out at about 12000lph which is what the cp90 starts at. For my 4ft tank the scp120 is way powerful and it's on a low speed however, I brought that one because I will be upgrading my tank to a 6ft one and I like to over power my equipment so it isn't always running at max. I think the cp90 would be more than adequate in your tank but I've no experience with planted fresh water tanks 😕
@@ReefDrama is there a noise issue if running ramped down on the 120? I recently purchased a sicce syncra “silent” 1.0 for a smaller 15 gallon set up and was running it half way and the darn thing was anything, but “silent”. Definitely don’t want nuisance noise.
@@Aquaman-wy3mg all I can say is mine are silent and one of them is 2 years and 2 months old. My skimmer is the noisiest piece of equipment! If I ramp mine up there is a slight hum from it but the tank is in the lounge. If it was in the bedroom it might be a different story.

You have an scp!?Stay away from It!!!!!
@at-lv3vd Well, you should know this as that's what the title of the video is !! I actually have 2 and have never had an issue with either of them.
@@ReefDramascp can be dangerous,but scp-120 is safe because It's just a pool
Would a CP-120 be overkill for my 90 gallon 48" planted fresh water tank? or would the CP-90 be more adequate?

@@ReefDrama my FX6's hum is already too loud for my living room. Definitely do not want more noise. Thanks for your responses.
@@Aquaman-wy3mg no worries. We all strive to have a near silent tanks so I know what you're saying.
