I like how this game was self aware about the facts that they're Sims and that we (the players) exist

This game is SO underrated!!! I was hooked to the story. Although it had it's downsides gameplay-wise, still fun ass game.

I thought it was the only one who had to deal with lag on this game

I can't go 5 seconds without my Sim whining about something, and having them include nausea and headaches just irritates me so much. I hate how addicted I am to this game too. 🤣

I've considered getting a psp just to play Sims 2 on it, and I'm so glad you made this video! Since I've never owned a psp before i didnt really know what to expect, so do you think its worth getting the game with a psp 1000? Or would the loading be too painful for that? You also mentioned 'backing it up', it might be my bad english or low understanding of tech, but could you please explain what that meant? Thank you in advance!

      1) Check out our "Are ROMs Legal" Guide to get an better understanding of what is a backup. But to put it simply, it's the PSP Disk, turned into a virtual disk image, or an *.iso file, and it can be created by a soft modded PSP (have a video on how to do both). This disk image can be played on a modded PSP (or Vita) like it was downloaded from the PSN.
      2) What PSP to get depends, I've also made a guide for what I think is the best PSP (so much self promotion). But for the Sims 2, I'd recomend the PSP Slims (2000/3000) if you are playing it off of the disk, load times are still slow but not as slow. But the 1000 is a lot cheaper, and if you're planning on modding your PSP anyways it wont make much of a difference.

@@16bitvirtual I've taken a look at some of your other videos and they were very helpful :) But just to be sure before i take my choice on which psp to buy, you think most games would run as smooth as on a not-modded psp 2000/3000 as on a modded psp 1000?

@@Cinirakan The speed depends on how you run the game.
If it's with the Actual Disk 2000/3000 will be better, since their disk drives are faster.
If it's with the Disk Image all system will be the same since the limiting factor is the Memory Sticks Read/Write speed. At that point the system you choose is irrelevant, I'd personally go for the 1000 due to its lower price, but the 2000 or 3000 have their perks too like a brighter screen or being less heavy.
      But unmodded 2000/3000.

You can use an emulator on your phone! I've been absolutely obsessed with rediscovering the sims games from the psp - even if my FPS aren't that good lol
