Thanks a bunch, I was using a janky setup of running the game through Bottles from an old Origin install of the Ultimate Collection so it was great to discover the RPC and TS2 Installer.
For me, it keeps saying “error! It seems you might have installed sims2rpc into the wrong spot, or you’re on the wrong game version.” The files are supposed to be extracted as-is loose into the TSBIN folder or Mansion & Garden (EP9/ SP9) not into their own folder inside TSBIN. Which might be what’s happening here. Please move all of the launcher files into TSBIN and try again. I’m so confused 😭

I deleted all the files and tried again and same problem. I did notice when I try to run the rpc in steam, a duplicate of these files pop up in her downloads file. What gives?? What am I doing wrong??
@@Dilaughosaurus you have to make the "start in" tab that's below the "target in" tab (located in the properties of the added Sims to steam) as the same in the target tab. Make sure they both are the same, and have apostrophes "" at the start and end, let me know if that works! Hers didn't work the way mine did bc I ended up moving the . Rpc file to my sd card, so the usual "start in" wants to go to the downloads, where the file isn't located. This might work for you let me know if it doesn't and I can try and help further

I find a way to change Language (STEAM OS) you have to go to the folder where sims 2 was installed. (home/deck/.local/share/Steam/ steamapps/compdata/XXXXXX/pfx. The XXXXX are a different sequence of numbers for everyone. You have to find out for yourself. in this folder there is a file called System.reg. if you open it and search for language, you will find at the bottom under Sims 2 Pets or garden and mession stuff a section named "Language" =dword:00000001. the final digits may be different for you. 1 stands for English 3 for German and 5 for Spanish. You have to change the final number and this will change the language in the game.

It should be, but I can't speak with certainty. OSAB's TS2 Starter Pack (the one downloaded in the video) comes with a "_LanguageSelection" folder on the root installation folder. You just have to double-click on the chosen language and that should translate your game. At least it does on a Windows computer lol

Thank you so much for the video! I had two weird things happen. When I input the name for the game it immediately goes blank as does the target and the other thing on properties. It still launched but then it asks if I want to enable or disable custom content. Is it ok to enable?

I can't get the quotations in because Im doing everything via the steam deck I am not using a steam deck dock nor a external keyboard.
you can try typing in a notepad and then copy it. buttons ...+X will allow you to use a built-in keyboard!

I didn't try it because I don't do reshade. But I use vibrantDeck plugin to increase saturation a bit, works great!

hmmm I think you can try download Sims2Pack Clean Installer (first link in goole to Modthesims) to Steam, open it and open a sims2pack!
