      @@oriontraininggroupllc2782 Please do Pistol, and/or also a PDW/SMG like an MP7 or Micro-Roni cqb work please!! These are way more common to have for home defense where I am from than an M4, MK18, or 416. Personally, the MP7 is actually my personal home defense weapon, and it’s movements and manipulations are different than a bit rifle. So that would be very helpful. Any PDW cqb tutorial.

    I appreciate that you explain this with keeping your rifle on your strong side as opposed these internet tacticians insist that you switch sides that your rifle is on. Now I appreciate practicing stuff like weak side clearing/shooting, however in battle I would like to keep the rifle on my strong side as much as possible. I feel like tactically that's where I'm going to have the biggest advantage. Great video, thanks for the Intel, keep it up!

      You're not wrong. Back in 03-06 Iraq, we were basically doing on the job learning figuring this shit out... fancy CQB wasn't really codified yet. My team would swap out lefties and righties if we could (it didn't happen often). Then we watched the Marines simply chucking grenades through windows and using stepladders to get onto roofs, and realized "hell, if they're making it up as they go so are we". Shit was wild back then. It's crazy for me to see how far the game has evolved since then... I could've done some serious damage with this knowledge then.

    Solo CQB can be done and it’s not as ineffective as you hear people say they simply have never done Solo CQB. Silence, Speed, & Surprise. And of course Violence of Action being king in all Fights put Rounds on Target before rounds are on you ! Direct Fire 🔥 on your target destroys the Mental Game as it will for you ! And REMEMBER carbine Rounds & Handgun Rounds will go through Drywall like it’s not there so you can be with a 4 man Team and someone makes a Sound and an Enemy can Start shooting through 6 or 8 or 10 walls and end you and your buddies and if your Stateside shooting blind through walls even when taking fire can end you if the rounds don’t !! That’s where violence of Action comes to play. Cover & concealment are two different things entirely, drywall is concealment not cover. Cover stops bullets.

    When you're panning from the right to left side at 2:59, why didn't you switch shoulders? That would help reduce your exposure right?

    • @oriontraininggroupllc2782
      @oriontraininggroupllc2782  2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Switching shoulders on a rapid movement is largely theatrical. Think about the level of exposure vs the time of exposure. It’s all about processing speed. I reduce my natural ability to process ie react by switching to my non dominant side. Not a good idea during a movement.

    attack or donging negative behavior?
    I think keep momentum and activeness(initiative) are proportiona,more momentun hold by your team,you can do more
    positive attck,is that ture?
    And l found more many people said activeness can be big effect in a gunfight,how it work?
    If some holding a gun ponint pointing at the doorway(He stand on the hard corner),as active attack, I even have better tactical advantage?how?

    Opinion coming up: I think, if you pie then you need to move at a tempo that you can stop immediately as soon as you see a threat and isolate that treat, as opposed to moving a certain speed, where you may not be able to accurately hit a target deep in the room, while on the move and where you might accidentally expose yourself to two threats at once. Now, to be fair, if the room is as shallow as in the vid, you can move faster and still achieve that. Maybe they teach that at the actual course idk. Also I personally would rather point my body towards the threshold and expose my foot at the same time as my gun, somewhat crab-walking. Disagree with me if you like.

      Yes, it is, but you have to train

  • @sofit
    @sofit 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Only cons i see is that when you engage on the move you are fixed at the target while you are exposing to the other deep corner and not processing the rest of the room, if there is another target in the unknown it could be a really dangerous situation than stop, engage and move on again, yes you told that if you stop you are exposing your whole silhouette, it is true but you are exposing to a part of the room that you have already cleared, what's your opinion?

    • @oriontraininggroupllc2782
      @oriontraininggroupllc2782  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I think you can do everything right and still got shot. You’re right that’s definitely a risk, but as you break from that center threat you should be switching to the far apex. Definitely takes training!

    • @bandokommando666
      @bandokommando666 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I don’t know, I feel like if I’m panning a door, see a threat, my order of operations changes, because I’m now in a fight and need to end it and get out of that threshold. Like, I’m doing the pan to change sides of entry on the door and to get insight on what’s inside from the outside of the threshold. So if I engage but stop movement to eliminate the threat Im spending more time in that fatal funnel, killzone, etc. and I’m running a greater risk of not being able to keep my gun in the fight due to taking rounds. Where as, if I engage while moving, I may lose a couple steps worth of sight inside the room, leaving uncleared space, but I’m alive to be able to look back into the room from the other side to gain that back. I see what you mean too though! I think it’s all in how you’re training.

    • @sofit
      @sofit 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@bandokommando666 i agree with your concept but threshold is not cover, threat can engage you through the wall.
      Yes, you will spend more time in the fatal funnel but to a part of the room already cleared. In any case, while you end panning hoping to not be hit by the threat, you will already triggered any threat inside the room, you will have no chance other than use distraction devices or alternate breaching point (because you lost momentum/surprise).

    • @bandokommando666
      @bandokommando666 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sofit Well of course it’s not cover and that’s also a good point, but you’re still out of sight, a benefit on its own. Hell, if it’s the best thing you can get, take it. It atleast allows you to not ruin your teams movement momentum and Once you’re out of sight on the other side of the threshold, you can regain sight of that uncleared space that you missed while engaging.

    • @CRonaldo2507
      @CRonaldo2507 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sofit once you get to the other side, you should be changing elevation too. Expect shots to be coming at where they last knew your head was. They'll be sending hate at where they think your head still was and your teammates will be able to clean up distracted targets should other people be in that room.

    • @azkahamianindya
      @azkahamianindya 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think the difference is on the momentum of processing the information. When cutting the pie, you're processing information one step at a time (angle by angle, like narrow to 45 to 90 till 180). While on panning, you want to receive information slightly faster and to get a big picture by keeping the movement until you reach the opposite angle. Then again, as Jared said it dictates by your man power, mission set, and environment. Maybe if you have enough space of room, not a hostage rescue mission or any other type of fast pace mission, or maybe you're alone, you can do the pie. And vice versa. Just my two cents as enthusiastic civv about this topic tho🍻😅
