    I've got a Bruna, Light of Alabaster and it gets around some of the problems of Voltron, since it doesn't mind having all auras going to the graveyard if Bruna dies, we're just getting them back for free again next time she attacks/blocks anyway. Having a six mana commander in UW is pretty rough thou. I've built mine as a control deck with her being the only creature in the deck, but the best Bruna decks are stax, as far as I know... I just don't have the heart to bring a stax deck to a table of commander.

    I just built a Skullbriar deck and it‘s awesome. It’s my first voltron deck. I love the simplistic playstyle of simply stacking counters on Skully B and becoming a menace to society.

    Turn 2 Rograkh / Ardenn swing in for 20 menace, trample, first strike with a Sol ring, 2 land, Hammer of Colossus, and Masterwork of Ingenuity. It's fun. The same Deck can fish out a Spellbinder / Savage Beatdown combo pretty reliably, letting Rograkh wipe the board with infinite attack steps.

    I have three voltron decks. Varchild, Mowu, and Xantcha. My Xantcha deck is based on using auras to beat a person in the face. Varchild hit people and make token. Then she leaves make the survivors mine. The deck has a token theme to it. Mowu get big by + one counters and beat face. Protecting the commander is key to playing voltron as well. Great stuff Beezy. Tribe scout out.

    An Ashaya equipped with Blackblade Reforged can get stupid huge real quick. You're going to need a lot of protection, but most of the time Lightning Bolt would be a minor inconvenience.

    I run my Voltron Zur in EDH, I call it my Zur The Dark Magician with funny enchantments as Trap cards.

    My favorite voltron deck is tuvasa, because her and the other Enchantresses make it easy to rebuild if she is somehow killed through my protection enchantments. I once won after tuvasa was killed 7 times in one game. Looking forward to the heliod land for that deck

      That card is very good in edh

    • @Yakmage
      @Yakmage 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NitpickingNerds it was a great game. I used tuvasa as distraction and card draw to get all of the auras that boost for each enchantment and aqueous form, and stuck them all on herald of the Pantheon killing the last opponent in one final blow

    So I have the meren deck yall tuned for me and a teysa karlov deck. Both are kind of sacrifice based Aristocrat decks. I am currently debating if I should leave them be or disassemble and combine them into a Karador deck. Thoughts?

    • @NitpickingNerds
      @NitpickingNerds  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jared Bartlett that entirely depends on how much enjoyment you’re getting from them. If you can play each without them blending together and feeling similar then you probably don’t have to combine them. But if it’s getting dull maybe turning it into a Karador deck is a cool way to spice it up

    Which card do you guys think is a better commander option Garza Zol, Plague Queen or Thraximundar?

    • @NitpickingNerds
      @NitpickingNerds  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's pretty close, I don't think either of them is super strong, but Thraximunder is probably stronger since you get to build more around him

    • @crovax1375
      @crovax1375 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NitpickingNerds I've been testing both cards and while I do like Garza Zol's card draw. Thraximundar definitely does get bigger faster and is easier to build around. In both decks Dragon Shadow, Dragon Breath, and Dragon Wings (Thraximundar only) are great, cheap ways to buff the two commanders

    • @NitpickingNerds
      @NitpickingNerds  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the only one I'd go with out of those is Dragon Wings since it cycles and then comes back for free, plus it provides the better form of evasion when compared to Dragon's Shadow

    • @crovax1375
      @crovax1375 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NitpickingNerds since both commanders are subject to quite a bit of removal getting Dragon Shadow and Dragon Breath into the graveyard normally isn't too hard. And Dragon Breath is surprisingly good at pushing commander damage up to that 21 threshold, not necessarily in one shot though, but it does reduce that clock

    • @NitpickingNerds
      @NitpickingNerds  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      With your commander already at seven mana, it just seems difficult to play those enchantments the first time and have them be impactful, especially since Thrax already has haste. I think there are better ways to pump his power
