    Your description says "welcome to our five minute guide to voltron!" You may want to edit that.

    Great concise video. Your animations make everything flashy enough to be interesting without being annoying. Thanks for the guide :D

    Nice explanation. Seen a lot of people complain about "Stax" decks in cedh. The only Stax deck I was aware about was a vintage deck played around in the the early 2000's that ran Smoke Stack and power 9 that destroyed your resources. Nasty deck, but beatable even without power 9 of your own.

    Infernal Darkness is another Contamination effect that locks it up for 1-3 turns.

    I would love to see a video on group hug commanders like Kami of the Crescent Moon. It can use stax effects quite well, too.

    Underrated video for sure! I just built a GAAIV deck. I typically play my Dimir mill Szadek so I had to switch it up
    My play group still isnt amused....

    I’m currently in the making of a Go-Shintai of Life’s Origin commander Stax deck. Since the main theme of all the Shrine cards is just passively (upkeep, precombat, and end step triggers) to deal damage I figured trying to slow the games down to build up to this would be a optimal way of going about it. Im genuinely curious to know is this a good way of building Go-Shintai or is/would it be clunky.

    I've built my Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer as a stax build. A key card is Venser, the Sojourner because I can use him to temporarily exile oppressive cards like Damping Matrix and Presence of the Master

    I strongly dislike the grand arbiter deck because that deck slow the game down. Also they take a long time to win as well. "Fun" right? Great work Beezy. Tribe scout out. I hope you win on your game show Beezy.

    My current Brudiclad build is stax. It uses Omniscience to ignore winter orb and wins with sismic assault. Also by using charmbreaker devils with mana short and war's toll to lock opponents out of the game. God-Pharao's Statue is a nice add-on. It is budget.
    Edit: I forgot about Tidespout Tyrant. It keeps me from Killin myself and makes the game very fun.

    • @NitpickingNerds
      @NitpickingNerds  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What are the things you like making tokens of in that deck? Copying God-Pharaoh's Statue is actually the coolest thing ever by the way. If only that card had better artwork!

    • @fish7678
      @fish7678 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NitpickingNerds My favorite thing is Blinkmoth Urn and my second favorite is Powersrone Shard. When I had my token build I used the Decoration Module and the other two Modules to make as many 1/1s as I had Mana and then turned them into Powersrone Shards. Also Precursor Golem was epic and Caltrops seemes good. If using Liquemental Coating and Saheli with Spark Double the sky is the limit. I almost forgot Tidespout Tyrant. Fun times with no lands.

  • @giancarlozambello5291

    Hate bears are not stax. They don’t stop you from playing they just stop busted shit. Hate bears are easy to remove because they’re creatures.

    • @seancarhart4982
      @seancarhart4982 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They totally are though. Just easier to get rid of usually. Thats like saying a bird isnt ramp compared to a fellwar stone. Both put you ahead in mana but just differently.

  • @nigelv9148

    City of solitude is a terrible card. not being able to interact will give someone else the card. This should only be played if you are about to win. And in that case, grand abolisher, silence and ranger-captain of eos are all so much better for this.

  • @sh1nypantsgaming661

    Confused by what you mean by abuse the old wording of cards.

    • @NitpickingNerds
      @NitpickingNerds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are just referring to the weird ability that a lot of artifacts had where they don't have their effect if the artifact is tapped

      Nitpicking Nerds but how is that relevant now.

    • @NitpickingNerds
      @NitpickingNerds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s always been relevant and abusable, for example if you tap your own winter orb on someone’s end step you get to untap all your lands

    • @sh1nypantsgaming661
