I just replaced the stator on my bike with an rmstator and I started it and it had a loud whine now. Like a jet engine. Didn’t run it long. Knew immediately it wasn’t right.
Hey man just replaced the stator too and took it for a spin and im hearing a grind noise too but its only while riding it and accelerating, its doesn’t do the grinding sound while in neutral or with the clutch pull even if i give throttle, only when im actually riding and accelerating, you think could be something messed in the stator assembly? Or just maybe something chain related since I just cleaned and lubed the chain :(
Sounds exactly like 1 or both of the bearings are going bad and or maybe the stator is not fully torqued down and the something is rubbing/grinding together. Did u turn the bearings during stator swap to see if they moved freely and without any obstruction?
@@deffectx not always, mine went after I replaced the generator when magnets shredded. Simply pulling it out and reinstall was enough for their old age to say I quit. At idle almost no sound but over 5k rpm sounded like a terrible screeching/ whirling metal sound.
I know it's late but off ebay HOWEVER no longer on ebay or Amazon after I realized they fake everything including spark plugs! Revzilla or partzilla .com from here on out

@@eman85mph i didnt but, it was working perfectly before i only swapped the flywheel for the new upgraded one, the bike was working fine before
Wouldn’t it make the sound even in neutral if it was the bearings?

What did it sound like?
I changed my stator yesterday and actually had to drill those cover bolts out to get the bearing out and get a new one overnighted and three new bolts
Was it like a whistling sound and crunch?
So does that stop ur bike from charging
Where did you buy the new rotor and stator from?

what the torrque spec for the gear you have to remove to put a new bearing?
Starter gear that generator fits into and covers inner bearing in engine case is 7.2 ft lbs
Am having trouble taking out the engine bearing and I don't have a bearing puller
It's in there pretty good so you'll need a puller of any hook type device to pull. Any type of auto store near you? They rent usually for free.
My bike has the same thing. I already replaced the inside bearing and now it sounds like rods knocking .
What about the cover bearing?
@@eman85mph do you have a part number I'll try that too. Thanks man.
My Nigga!!!!
