CANSON MI-TEINTES - Color pencil on textured paper. Drawing an Emu for World Migratory Bird Day

I'm doing something different for a change, drawing a bird... just kidding! The honeycomb texture has never appealed to me before, but there's no time like the present to give something a go and see how it looks.
World Migratory Bird Day exists to help celebrate and spread awareness of the world's migratory birds. These birds are often more at risk than others because they need suitable habitat in both their summer and winter habitats as well as along their migration route. While not all migratory birds are international migrants, the world travelers are often what first comes to mind. The Emu is of course non-migratory, but they sure do look cool :)

Hello, normally I use the smoother fine-grained side, but for this video I tested out the textured honeycomb side.

I think the explanation for your fantastic results on this honeycomb textured paper side was that You use very sharp pencils meticulously and You simply keep filling all paper surface gaps with your pinsharp pencils. You are so experienced, that you do it in an automatic way. Your videos all are excellent and joy to watch.
