What I couldn't understand is why the 2 coppers that went to lords in Blackpool and found 3 binliners with possible connections to the murder didn't take them away...but after the reconstruction says...by a great stroke of luck the rubbish was still there when police went to fetch it...has the refuse collection was late...is this because the 2 detectives thought they were too high up to collect rubbish or they didn't want to get the suits dirty...
I'm not sure, but, isn't rubbish technically someone's property until a warrant is obtained? Or, because it's evidence it has to be processed by specialists and pbotographed in situ, etc. If they just picked it up and carried it back it may not have been admissible.
He ended up having to serve 22 years so came out in 2008.
