6:21 hmmmm, i couldn't imagine why the media would jump to the conclusion that the murder of Kwame Danso was potentially 'drugs related'. 🤔 As Kwame's sister rightly pointed out, the media portrayal was absolutely disgusting. Kwame was a clean cut, hardworking man. He worked as a bouncer and refused his killer (Gary Nelson) entry to a club. One of Kwame's colleagues stupidly passed on his address to Nelson. If PC Dunn hadn't been killed, the Met Police wouldn't have exhaust all effort to bring the killer to justice.
This is the real new OG account, thank you 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 also I love how Nick always shown his Co presenters past or present love and affection.. But why in the opening scene is Nick suit looking less supportive looooool🤦🏾♂️.. Thank you again tho
21:44 the officer, “she could be the best witness we got in this case” 22:19 Nick, “soooo whoever KILLED her gona have to got home” .. No Nick she not dead, unless you guys know more than your letting offf.. Shady bunch
A rare mistake by Nick. Whoever attacked that woman almost killed her and left the crime scene believing he had killed her. Nick did then correct himself. He does look tired during this episode.
William Kwame Danso's killer was angry because he had been previously challenged by him as he worked as a security guard. He felt disrespected over being stopped at a nightclub, so set out to track him down and murder him. For the murder of William and PC Dunne, he got life in prison, with recommendation to seve at least 35 years.
And all the headlines I've seen so far are about him getting 35 years for killing a police officer, with the main, & first victim, being an after thought in the story. Pretty awful that.
At 25.14 - The Torquay attempted murder of the youth on the bike, does anyone know which Crimewatch episode this came out of? And if its on TH-cam as I can't seem to find it. Nick Ross mentions that "a DI thought he got a good call last month" which would have been October 2001 but I'm not sure of there is an October 2001 CW, if there is and I've seen it, it's not in there.
6:27 "The media coverage of the whole incident was very negative"... Of course it was love. The victims were not middle class women. Contrast with the coverage of the non-murder of Nicole Bully.
Gangster Gary "Tyson" Nelson was convicted for the first case..... And all the headlines I've seen so far are about him getting 35 years for killing a police officer, with the main, & first victim, William Danso, being an after thought in the story. Pretty awful that.
This era is well done, but it does seem to be a bit "Crimewatch London". The homicide rate peaks both for London and the UK as a whole about this time, so there wasn't a shortage of serious crimes outside the capital. I don't know what's happening with the programme really. Particular national media focus on London influencing the show? More London stuff to save costs?
@@golgotha3938 I think that's a bit harsh. Obviously nothing matches the atmosphere of the earlier stuff, but I think this era works in its own way. It's fast moving, covering more cases. I think it holds up till about 2007.
@ watch the start of june 2001 episode. Clearly chasing ratings from the off rather than solving crime. A lot of people point to the june 2001 episode as the jumping the shark moment.
A dude called Gary Nelson who was apparently a top London Gangster was convicted of both murders and sentenced to life with a minimum of 35 years for the killings
The thumbnail makes it look like Fiona suffered the same fate as Jill Dando
It does actually! Quite weird
For a few moments yes it does.
😂
I thought it looked like that n'all

The family always say that.. use your common sense
Very well said. RIP Kwame, gentle giant ❤
Thank you so much for these CW programmes, please keep them coming.
Patrick and William's killer was convicted in February 2006 and subsequently sentenced to 35 years Imprisonment
I remember the Kwame murder but I forgot that the culprit killed a police officer on duty.
Gary nelson serious london gangster.

For the last couple he's looked no longer disillusioned with the show & completely fed up.
Very good work, I was really hoping you had October 2001 as that's an episode I've never seen
You're doing fabulous with these uploads. Any 2002 editions coming up?

Result.
This "disrespect" these gangsters talk about actually means "didn't cower down to a very insecure bully boy"
When I watched this episode it was the week before my seventeenth birthday and I was itching to start my driving lessons and get through my test.

Gary Nelson convicted of 1st case
Yes and he shot the man just because he refused him entry in to a club, the murdered man was a bouncer.

@johnclegg4993 That's terrible. How did Gary Nelson find out where Kwame lived? So scary!
Thank You for the videos 🙏
Thank you!
Just after the football commentator on the 1st case said “he got away with murder there..” the victim is blasted 3 or 4 times!

Still unsolved

Just leave him be, I thought.
