Thank you for the video. Incidentally, you can also use a Vice grip for that large clamp. No need to go out to a tool rental store if you have a vice grip or pliers or channel locks. Vice grip works better because you can set it and it will hold the clamp for you.
I'm going to try a little teflon tape. It's only dripping a little. BTW, I did check the bottom of my tank and it was not only wet underneath but when I took it out and looked at it there were actually 3 cracks in it. That's where my coolant was going.
Glad you found the source! These tanks are made of unicorn hair or something. My Jetta had the same problem. Not sure why they don't standup to heat and abuse.
To change the passenger headlight on my 2018 Escape I moved over the coolant reservoir to make what should be a simple job easier. I used a prybar gently to lift it from its brackets and worked well
Just changed the tank and the smaller hose is now leaking. Can if be because I over filled it and once the fluid goes lower than the hose it won't leak? It looks to be the sensor hose. The "O" ring is attached. Thank you in advance. And I hate that large OEM clamp. What a pain in the ass even with channel locks so I changed it to the screw one.
Where does the hose go? I don’t have this car anymore. I can’t imagine that that hose would be routed to just dump coolant on the ground If overfilled.
If you call your local auto parts store, with your make and model, they will be able to zero that in for you. If it's difficult to describe, drive into the store and they will take look under your hood with you.
Are you talking about the top right hose?!? What is that plastic clamp part or even the hose itself called? When I went to replace mine the small part that goes into the tank had broken off. Yet I can’t find it on any part store site.
I asked my dad to help me do this and he left me on read. Thank you for showing me how.
Happy to help!

Thank you Tony.

It goes into the tank. I think its the sensor. I put teflon tape around the O ring. Thank you.
@@theeolives good luck!
My 2014 1.6L is crazy low on Coolant but NO warning light or message.
Anyone know where I can order the oring for the clip on that top right hose?
Rockauto.com or your local auto parts store
Use teflon tape like I did. Mine was dripping a little and I wrapped teflon tape around the O ring. It worked.😊
Is there supposed to be a hole in it
Not sure what you mean. Not on the bottom. Mine had cracks.
Tell me where to get a replacement clip for the top right hose if you can. Mine is dry rotten and is chipping away.

Installed new reservoir and new larger top hose. Larger top hose (new) is lose and leaking, any ideas on how to tighten?
I’d recommend a new clamp
Or get a clamp that you can tighten vs those spring clamps
Ok. The entire hose and clamp are new. I realize now I may be missing the small o-ring on the clamp itself. Appreciate your help!
@@jrsharp2070 my pleasure!

Anyone here know how to replace the hose for the tank?
po4 code
Should of been a recall
I agree!
My 2014 Escape 2.0 has a different expansion tank than that one, so your video didn’t help me. 👎🏼
