@jameskillu9171, are you not tired of meddling in South Africa's affairs. Is there nothing happening in Zimbabwe that you can keep up with while in South Africa
When we choose a South African to compete is because a South African knows and understands our background, at times there will be situations where we ask our own beautiful South African to stand for us in places like United Nations and talk about the plight of a RURAL CHILD IN SOUTH AFRICA who needs maybe vaccinations, laptops, health services. Definitely Chidimma KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT OUR RURAL AREAS. Our beauty pageant also entails some form of responsibility because you will find that a deep rural child likes to watch these pageants . This is not about lipstick makeup and the arrogancy it comes up with now.
And all those white people who have represented SA in the past, what did they know about "plight of a RURAL CHILD IN SOUTH AFRICA who needs maybe vaccinations, laptops, health services"???
Your 'settlers and imperialists' are the very ones that DIVIDED you black Africans. Isnt that Ironic that you are defending their own strategy, by turning Africans against one another? THIS settler that is speaking is telling you how to free yourself and your continent. Go study quickly please.
There is a larger issue here that everyone seems to be ignoring and South Africans are not really saying, maybe because they just don't know how to. Personally, as a South African, I don't have any issues with the half Nigerian lady representing South Africa, especially if she loves the country and she is a legal citizen. That is my personal view. At the same time, I think it is disingenuous to paint South Africans as xenophobic. South Africa is full of immigrants from all across the African continent. Some of them have been in the country for many years and have become quite successful, often at the expense of South Africans. The question is if South Africans are so xenophobic, why would all of these foreign nationals even be in the country in the first place? The larger issue that everyone seems to be ignoring is the rivalry between South Africa and Nigeria. That definitely is the biggest factor, and it seems to be quite bitter. It also goes much deeper than I actually realized. I don't think that Chidimma would have been responded to that way if one of her parents were from any other African nation instead of Nigeria. It's not that South Africans are necessarily xenophobic, as much as it is the fact that the rivalry between the 2 countries is deep. Consider how Nigerians responded toward Tyla when she won the Grammy award. All over the internet she was called all kinds of derogatory names while her Africaness was denied. Some even said that the whole of Africa should boycott the Grammies for giving the award to Tyla instead of to a Nigerian. Consider the continued hate they spew out toward Tyla every time she makes a move. Read the hateful comments from Nigerians every time she just randomly posts something on her social media accounts. These things create resentment in the hearts of South Africans who love Tyla so much that they would gladly go to war over her. Hardly a day ever goes by when Nigerians are not declaring their country as the "giant of Africa." South Africans don't actually care about being known as the giant of Africa. Because of this rivalry the attitude of South Africans only seems to be that Nigeria can have that title as long as they stay with it over there in West Africa, as far away from them as possible. Consider how South Africans would feel if Chidimma wins and becomes miss SA today, and Nigerians claim her tomorrow. Would that not make an already bitter rivalry much worse?
I partially agree with your statement. Immigrants always cry about SA being xenophobic, yet they still come here in droves, start careers, build businesses and thrive and no one bothers them. It is only when SAns speak out about some of their criminality and mass illegal immigration that we're labelled xeno. Even the vigilante violence that SAns engage in against criminals is blown out of proportion when the criminal involved is not SAn and the mainstream media is complicit in pushing this narrative. You also have political opportunists like the eff that want to make it a we love whites over fellow blacks when it's about national identity. The truth is a black identity on the African continent is very much particular and entails different things depending on which country you're in. In SA we have recognized tribes that represent that identity and this lady doesn't fit or identify with any of them and labeling us as xenophobic for pointing that out does not erase that fact. Her insistence to carry on in the ccompetition despite being aware of this speaks more to her character, several other things like her being a divocee aand single mother at 23 point to this. She's nor our representative.
You made a point there. The problem seems to me that South Africans hate the fact that Chidinma is Nigerian too. I wish everyone just stated the fact, cos the statements of a lot of people here make no sense, but you've hit the nail on the head. I didn't even realize that specific Africans didn't celebrate Tyla's success. Wow. I mean, I don't do secular music, but an African at the top? That's a win! Tyla is not the origin of this hatred tho. The hatred goes way back. Black South Africans just seem to hate Nigerians for some reasons. I mean, when they killed Nigerians in 2019, to the point that Nigerians had to be repatriated, was "water" out? Crazy stuff.
You have diverted from Chidimma to Tyler and it seems this Tyler issue got to you personally. Nigerians went against Tyler when she herself denied being black that's all .sadly you took it to heart thinking Nigerians were against her for being south African .foreigners might be in south Africa but that doesn't make south Africans non xenophobic .this rivalry between south Africa and Nigeria you mentioned is just in your head
@@merwillemina9390I never said that Tyla was where it all originated. I just used her name and the attitude of Nigerians toward her as examples of the rivalry that has been going on for many years now. It didn't start with Tyla. Also, the xenophobia thing that some South Africans have had toward Nigerians started when South Africans started to get fed up with the criminal activities of Nigerians in our country. South Africans have tolerated it for years, but it just kept getting worse and worse. The question is why were South Africans not praised for how they have tolerated it for years, but as soon as they became fed up they are labelled xenopgp? Do South Africans not have the right to complain about crime committed by illegal foreign nationals in their own country?
A South African girl should be miss SA no matter her race. I heard she just recently removed the mozambican and nigerian flags she had on her social media accounts 😂 shows you she didn't see herself as a South African until she could win a pageant and get some money in my view

This is the problem: one of acculturation and assimilation. She doesn't speak a single local language, has Nigerian/Mozambican flags on her statuses (which she quickly removes after complaint) and is not representative of any of the major groups in the country. Who can relate to her? I'm sorry, the WEF/Neo-marxist/ leftist ideology is the reason why Europe is having such a major problem with migrant assimilation right now. It's an untenable ideology!

Definitely Chidimma KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT OUR RURAL AREAS. Our beauty pageant also entails some form of responsibility because you will find that a deep rural child likes to watch these pageants . but u call them boss, u r a nobody full of self hate
I can't beilive I wasted a couple of seconds of my life reading your comment which is just full of pettiness.are you like 10
You made a point there.
I support her for Miss Nigeria or Miss Mozambique but not Miss South Africa thanks very much

You are so right, no body has taken the time to look into how GM put it,... you smart you,... you just put it into perspevtive, now they are able to debate the true essence of tge words spoken... thanks man
She must go
Let's investigate her parents status
You are late to the party.
We would love that very much
Just because you are born in a hospital doesn't mean that's your home.you need to go home to your family.the law needs an update
The low self-esteem of some SA is appalling. She hasn't even won yet, so the other SA women in the competition are not capable of winning the title.
She shouldnt be there to begin with. You don't look at a potential problem and only act on it once the outcome is finalized. You address it before hand!
Your comment is appalling. Now the entire country has low self esteem. Including yourself. Clearly your mind has divorced thinking ability.
Amazing how the SABC and channel 405 chose to bring non black men to speak up on this issue concerning a black female south african identity. It speaks volumes.
No amount of finger wagging at us is going to change our position. We will not be used as experiments for nonsense at our expense. We know who we are and we know who we're not.
This girl is already celebrating with Nigerians not South Africans, imagine the insult if she wins Miss SA .
THE DAY AFRICA UNITES & BECOMES ONE COUNTRY, SOUTH AFRICA SHOULD BE LEFT OUT.
Unite WHERE??? In South Africa???
@@honordiamond2548 Subsaharan Africa will unite one day. South Africa will be left out on its own becoz of its hatred of other Africans.
Please leave us out. And as long as Africa doesn’t plan to unite in South Africa we are happy and we will clap for you.
@@UltraMella Wow!!!...it's incredible that a few years ago you were crying & begging for our help under the york of white minority rule. Now that you have achieved freedom, you are arrogant & forgot the brutal past. Worst of all, you have been completely brainwashed by the white minority to believe other Africans are your enemies.
@@UltraMella it's a pity that you have been completely brainwashed by the white minority to believe that other Africans are your enemies 😂😂😂.
All people against removing Chichi are clearly not SA or Nigeria will do to them like ANC did to us
Remove her and cancel Miss SA to reevaluate their new regulations
She was born 24 years ago but she is 23
I think it's time we talk about the Land Question again.
In all this, I blame the Miss South Africa organization for choosing someone who does not resonate with and not patriotic enough about South Africa. Her citizenship doesn't matter to me. There's enough proof that she's Nigerian at heart.
We never had onether country raising their own flag to support the person who South Africa had just like Nigerians and it is not the I'd that made one to be South African
Why people are still talking about this ,she hasn't win yet so what's the deal here
Very strange...only in South Africa Foreign Nationals speaking about open boarders...Why Nigeria or any other African Country does not open their boarders....?Why Botswana , Lesotho ect are not open their boarders?....Why Namibia was seperated from South Africa there were no boarders between South West, Northern Cape, Western Cape....by SWAPO and was supported by ANC....somewhere somehow in every interviews on critical issues, the input and arguments lacks directions and fairness....South Africa is a Sovereign State....We as Citizens , as Voters who voted for Political Parties into power have the right to question who ever, his her Nationality For the past 30years alord of fraud & Corruptions was committed in the Department of Home Affairs the system can nolonger be trusted..we also have the right to question Mis South Africa beauti pageant with out fear or favour...because they are using our National Sovereignity Country Name..they are using Citizens ...it represents South Africans and not Nigerians... Nigeria have it own Inter Beati pageant...just for Nigerians....Therefore we have all the rights to reject and protect our own Sovereignty....I thank you...
She associate with Nigerians. Please allow her to be herself before she embarrasses herself by lifting Nigerian and Mozambican flags after winning. Its like she is forced on us.
Is *super SIMPLE* - what do the Miss SA Pageant rules say?
Simple as that.
Can you please ask where was Roger de SA born, he played one cap for Bafana Bafana.

Because of what ?
