I dont think I care if GoPro has better sharpness or whatever, in most of these side by side comparison the colors of the 360 is way more Amazing out of camera and for me that's a big selling point (also the fact you never miss anything). I know you can edit color in post for GoPro but that's just an extra step, better to just upload it thru the 360 app directly onto social media. X3 has my vote every time.
I have the Inta360 X3 and a Go Pro 10. Actually, I like both, but wish I had a Go Pro 11 instead of the 10, mostly for additional sharpness, and it seems a little better in low light. They're both so different in so many ways, but both a lot of fun. The Go Pro does seem more sturdy somehow. With regards to time-consuming editing with the 360 X3, I actually enjoy it. It's basically like being an artist- you can create so much! Along with the key-framing, you can zoom in and out, etc.- the possibilities seem endless! I like the 360 X3 more for great special effects to throw into a video; the Go Pro for more 'straight ahead' type stuff, plus the Go Pro feels more 'grab and go/throw into your pocket', sort of thing. Anyway, I like Insta360 and Go Pro both enough, that I wouldn't trade one for the other!
I agree. I’m running a GoPro hero 10, iPhone 13pro, and editing with the new apple laptop. I prefer the GoPro when I’m filming B-roll for movies but I really like the idea of the 360° for vlogging. I don’t have a 360° yet but I’m considering which model I’d like to add to my teeny collection. Thank you for sharing your perspective. I’m really enjoying learning more about what we’re all doing and what’s working for our fun.🥳 ~Sheeara, Alaska
Totally feelin' ya! I've got both the GoPro and Insta360 in my arsenal and let me tell ya, they each bring their own unique strengths to the table. As a content creator, it's an absolute game-changer to have both of these bad boys in your toolkit.
If you have only ONE camera to choose, I’d definitely pick GoPro. Just try to watch a video fully shot in Insta360 X3, it’s hard to watch. But if you can afford more, get both.
Great video! So, for a guy like me with no super fast phone nor computer, who never owned an action camara before and never edited pics/vids before... It seems that gopro would be the best option to start with; does it makes sense?
I"ve seen some pretty incredible underwater footage from the Insta360 (unsure which model) from a couple of people in our free diving community. I'm here to see which one to buy next for diving... I'm familiar with GoPro which seems to be a failsafe. Thanks for the info for dry land ;)
Hello mate. I have a question 🤔. Can I edit GoPro 11 Black footage along with insta360 x3 in one place? If it is possible, which app you recommend? I have both cameras, never edited before. Don't want to change my GoPro for the Ace Pro in order to use only insta360 studio editor. What do you think about this my friend?
@@Dojo-v6m I was sent a new (it looks new based on the battery port and connectors) gopro 9 for a dead session 5. I think you allowed to claim up to 3 or 4 devices per year.
Major point is the underwater. X3 is brilliant, especially on city walk with wider angle. However, gopro can be a better all-rounded footage recorder covering all activities. And the 2nd consideration is the protection on 2 nude fisheye lens vs a standard one, which can easily have a protector.
Hi 360 Guy. ! :) Nice Video. I like it. I want to buy one of those cameras. Insta 360 x3 but first I want to have some images to practice editing. I wonder if it is possible that you can send me some shots from the camera recorded in 4k HDR. Thank you very much in advance.
Just ordered an insta 360 x3 after comparing the two and even considered the dji om 6 to pair with my phone (iP13pm). Ruled out the dji so I can still have access to my phone and not use its storage (only 256) which is not much. Felt like the insta is easier to use for my use case scenarios which is to take on my family trips and won’t have to think too much on where I point it. Will also use it to record basketball games and just point towards where the action is in post.
I prefer the Insta360 X3 for the 360 degree videos. I like the idea of just turning on the camera and you don't have to point and shoot. The X3 captures all that is around you and like you said, you don't miss anything. Quality of the X3 is adequate for me. I am not a professional at creating videos. Plus I don't like the overheating issues of the latest GoPro's, because I like doing long 30 minute video shoots, and seems IF the GoPro 11 only lasts 11-15 minutes and then overheats, then what good is the high resolutions. I am not one that just does 30 second videos. That is absurd. Question for the 360 guy: Does the Insta360 X3 have any issues on Overheating and shutting down if I want to shoot a continuous 30-60 minute video???? Nobody seems to talk about this on the X3 camera. I do not have this camera at this time, but just got the GoPro Max. Plan to get the X3 if there are no heating issues at the high Resolutions.
Can't wait to pick yo a 360 for my videos. Been using the gopros for 2 years and it's time to diversify. I'll use both in future. Thanks for your videos ive been binging them all! 💪😁👍
I never used both of them, and I don't know which one I should buy. I want to make vlog videos, and I heard go pro overheating which one should I buy any suggestions please 🙏
just want to ask the single lens mode from insta360 x3 is it same video quality from go pro 11 because you dont need to reframe iy once i shoot in single lens mode?
Which should i pick to film st work during night shifts. In front theres quite a bit of light but in back its darker. Its to film me doing shunt work (yard dog. Moving trailers around the yard.) 360 seems like i could keep it in the cab and it would film all. Both are basically 700$. Dont want both. Will upload video to yt.
good day from NZ mate! hey I got a Gopro 11 recently and no matter what card I use, it almost always overheats after a 10 min mark...so sad as I really want to support Gopro, on the other hand never have I experienced any overheating even on harsh sun on my motorbike ride with the Insta360. go figure! wondering if gopro will eventually address the over heating issues or will just stop supporting us like they did with the Gopro fusion. Great vid btw, very well explained, I follow u on other usernames as well. cheers
Hello guys, first of all thank you for the great review!!! I need help. I am a cyclist. I ride 70% on the road and 30% in the mountains. I am a cycle tourist, I enjoy discovering new places, photographing monuments and highlights, etc. So far I have photographed monuments, nature, simply highlights with my cell phone. If I do this with my cell phone I either have to stop or do it while driving, which is often dangerous!!!!!!!!!! A) I'm looking for an alternative, namely a camera on the helmet or on the chest. I take photos while driving (with a cell phone or remote control), but I want to see them immediately after I take them. E.g. On the display of the mobile phone attached to the handlebars of the bicycle, whether the photo is OK, etc. B) Alternatively, I would also like to make a video and later take out the pictures using some program. What is important to me is that the photos must contain GPS data, otherwise the Komoot app will not accept them. I also want the photos to be at least reasonably high quality. But I fear that removing them from the video will compromise quality. I would also like to say that I stay on my bike for 4-6 hours and it is a problem to create 4K videos (battery life, overheating, etc.). Can someone please advise me which of these two cameras (gopro 10 or insta 360 4k edition) do you recommend for my purposes? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the X2, Go 2, Action 2, the original Pocket, my phone, and the Sony a7R V for more serious shooting. It'd be nice to have a real 8K 360 camera that actually has the detail (not the QooCam). I'm going to try to improve the X2 footage using Topaz and FilmConvert. I'm not sure if I'd like the HDR look from the X3, or the 1-inch 360 better, or I can wait for an 8K 360 device, even if it costs more. When I'm out biking, I usually shoot with the Action 2 and the X2 at the same time and edit depending on how much creativity I need. With a fisheye and a horizontal slide bar I can shoot 3D 180 landscapes with the mirrorless.
Has there been any change to GoPro software? Cause - as far as I can tell, GoPro hasn't - or won't - upgrade their software for desktops. Hence - no working desktop-software for GoPro.
I believe the GoPro subscription is $49.99/year not $49.99/month. I just saw another comment that already mentioned this. $49.99/month would be crazy expensive for a subscription. 😀
I have the X3. In my opinion, its still not good enough. I'm just not happy with the video quality. It's only decent if you have perfect light. Slightly challenging light conditions and it sucks.
Can you create VR video with insta 360 X3? I am new to VR and would like to create VR videos for my students who are not traveling in our linguistics trip to Quebec so they can live the experience even thought they could not go.
Thanks, Good reminder on best tool for the job and current 360 Oneshots have their purpose for leisure and great for virtual tours where client won't pixel peep such as construction sites etc. The older Hero 9 Black combined with the Panohero H9B rig produced a 158mp final image when used with PTGUI. This GoPro Hero 11 Black with the larger sensor and a higher mp rating will surely produce with that rig, images better than any of the current Oneshots or high quality phones on a rotator that are currently acceptable. After watching you video, I am convinced this GoPro Hero 11 will be useful in my work along with the Insta360 One Inch which you have great content of, on your channel. Cheers.

who the winner underwater?
Too much of a fish eye effect on the 360. Wonder if you can adjust that and get the lense to focus forward instead of making a 180° dome shoot
Yes, you can eliminate or reduce the fisheye effect during post-editing.
