When is release date
These now show what song is playing on the case screen. Also each time the next song in your playlist starts, the case screen turns on for a few seconds showing you the name of the song without you having to pick up the case or touch it at all.
EDIT: Oh, they also show things on the screen such as when a new email is received in your inbox. Make sure you update your case firmware/software. These screen messages can be turned off in the JBL Headphone app.
I just received my Jbl tour pro 2 and I must say they are impressive to say the least and the sound is balanced in my opinion. The soundcore liberty pro 3 has better bass but that’s it.

I truly enjoy the energy of your videos and reviews and I especially thank you for your honesty. I'm trying to find a good set of earbuds for use at night and I've been going through multiple reviews before I tell my husband what to buy for me for Christmas!!! Thanks for this. I think I'm going to wait until there's a second or third generation of these before taking the plunge. I'll stick with my watch for my extra visuals.

I think it's a great idea, and I applaud JBL's ingenuity with the case. But it would be a better idea if smart watches weren't everywhere. There's very little that the case can do that a smart watch can't do and do better

Not everyone will own a Smartwatch where you have a customized app specifically made for it. Anyone with the earphone will definitely have the case.

May I make a suggestion. On your "sakage" test. Add a drop test . Drop and let it land on the table from say 2 feet heighth? Buds always seem to pop out and slide to opposit side of room. When we drop them or something.
The codec is a no go for me. Anything other then aptx or ldac in a crowded location is annoying to use for me due to constant bluetooth drop off.

I don’t know. The display on the case is too small for most use. They need to add in the basic beeper like information and certain basic buttons. But probably use the phone and save money on one with the display.

It’s weird that you say that. I feel like the opposite. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 stay in my ears, even during Spin Classes at the gym.

Great review! Now I’m torn as I wasn’t sure the case would impress me as much as it has. Like you said it’s kind of borderline between being gimmicky and useful. I love JBL but was underwhelmed by the new endurance peak 3. At the moment for me I’m trying to decide if the usefulness of the case and the JBL sound I love are enough to make it a better purchase than some Momentum 3 and then wait to see if they improve the screen features with an update. In terms of weight and fit do you think the Momentum 3 fit better than these? I think I’m gonna have to try both just want to know which one to try first? Lol…anyways, thanks again for the good honest reviews, much appreciated!
Fit is always complicated. I love these jbl buds, they fit me great. But the momentum 3 gave me ear fatigue really fast. Had to move them around all the time. So try both. The sound is better in the momentums if they fit you well 😊
@@Paula-buds-pro thank you very much for the advice. That is something good to know. As you say fit is really tough and you just never know until you use them awhile. Based on your advice as well as Floss and on these being a new product and I love the JBL sound, I think I’m going to try these first! The momentum look like they may just be a little too large for me. I’ll probably still check them out but I think I’ll give these a go first. Thanks again for the advice! Much appreciated!
@Scaper Viking I have small ears and that's definitely the main issue with the mtws3, too big. The sound in the JBLs are good especially the bass. 😉 just make sure to do the updates and the soundtest for best petformance :)

Id been looking for some earbuds for the motorcycle ride, so I'm just looking for something that can fit without slipping and that's clear and loud. All the other features I don't need (maybe just the volume controls). I had purchased the Bose QuietComfort earbuds and I'm ready to get rid of them. Beats had some great wrap around earbuds but weren't loud enough. So maybe an inexpensive version of JBLs may work?

Maybe Garmin gotta make some earbuds. Their watches allow you to save up to 32 GB. That case could use a built in storage for music to prevent having a phone for music. Would be a great idea.

Honestly I was convinced Samsung was going to make something like this when the first Galaxy buds came out with the built in heart rate monitor and memory. I hoped the second gen would come out with a small screen... Now I'm hoping they make a Huawei style watch buds combo.

Been using these for about 2 weeks now. They are awesome! I use the case to change settings when having the buds connected to my nintendo switch, and at work where i cant use my phone to often. When it comes to volume they are loud, but not the loudest i have used. The loudest buss out there are Sound by Swedens Supra Nero TX Pro. No kidding that i could only use them at minimim vokume and would STILL have problem hearing people talkt to me because of the high volume even in hear thru mode 😂 if you want them loud thats the buds for you (bonus they are ridiculous small). Right now i switch between my JBLs and my Bose QC 2 (would use the Nura Tru pros too but my husband decided those belongs to him now 😅 )

Very stupid design, which will kill battery. Only marketing, nothing more, i wish JBL would put this effort to level up its poor sound quality. This is only a attracting toy with no usability and limited quality. Most concumer pays for attactive toys, without thinking if they need it. JBL has become a compony who does not give quality but good shape and attraction with very high prices. To be honest, I didnt like this design, from a designers point of view.

I had the original JBL tour pro earbuds and I can attest that they are super loud. Probably the loudest earbuds I've ever used and I have used at least 50 earbuds. I will probably buy these just because I want that JBL loud sound again. They may replace my sennheisers.
And JBL sound might not be the best but it does satisfy my sound needs, they really tune the sound really different than everyone else.

This JBL product is INSANE! Technology has come so far!
They could take this to the next level... Add a speaker and mic to it and allow it to play music or talk on the phone for the times that you're phone is charging somewhere else and you don't want buds in your ear.
I actually like the idea of "this device can do it all" but to have headphones built in.... man would be kinda cool
Once in video of SONY's ear buds video comment section to make a bit smaller ear buds with all the control's available in its case and look JBL took it as a game changer. Same as I am listening JBL speakers now these earbuds are definitely gonna be in my pocket ❤

Hmmm sounds like a niche feature for the case, most people use their phone app or the touch haptic controls on the earbuds themselves to control the ear buds. I'm not sold on this.
Your can still use your phone or tap the earbuds. This gives you one more option for a reasonable price. What's not to like?

A $250 price tag for a feature that isn't even necessary (because there's already existing alternatives) is not reasonable. Maybe in a few years time after a few iterations to give it a bigger screen, better software, expandable storage to have songs directly in the case, etc, but not as it currently stands.

Honestly, I tried the AirPod pro 2’s and I was really disappointed in the sound quality. They got sent back.
