    I think the Huewei's idea of slapping the tws to the watch is much more bigger innovative idea. With proper battery backups and good headsets that should be the ones companies should be looking towards for the future. One single solution.

  • @JohnvanCapel

    I think the little display on the case is a good idea, but the execution of it isn't the best. Could have done with less menu-scrolling and it feels like more of a battery-drain than it needs to be (an e-ink display would have been more fit for purpose IMO), but I do like not *needing* to have Yet Another Single-Device Settings App on my phone.
    I want to be able to access at least the basic functions while I have these things connected to my Linux PC or my Switch, and this little screen gives me that.

    • @Daniel-iu7ob
      @Daniel-iu7ob 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you are right, instead of that screen they could use the cost to improve other's things, is more likely to have the phone in hand and to do what that case do...

  • @elplagiato
    @elplagiato 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +22

    Interesting review. I think the display and his functions is very closely bound to the way you want to use the earbuds. If you plan to use it with a phone, yes, the case might not be much of a use. But when you want to use them like I do as multipurpose, say connecting to the PC and TV the case makes a lot of sense because I don't need to seach for my phone to make a change, i can simply grab the case and push two buttons and done. I think it's a good idea but surely not for everybody a must-have.

    I checked JBL Tour Pro 2, Sony XM5, and the New Bose Quiet Comfort in the store. The Bose did nothing for me. The Sony's were good, but these were on par or even better than the Sony's with even louder volume. JBL has a fantastic sound and impact, so i ordered the JBLs. Samsung made gear iconx wireless earphones and it had a feature in which they gave 4gb of storage on the buds and u can store music in that so now u don't have to connect the earphones to ur phone(which would save a lot of battery) and u can listen to all the music in the earphones with the touch controls
    Honestly i loved this feature but samsung killed this feature in the next model and i was really sad about it

    I'm new ish to earbuds. My past two pairs were JBL LIVE 300TWS, and they both died within a year. I'm thinking of getting these when they release. Would you say these are worth the 250, and do you think they'll last more then a year? I'm not obsessed with audio quality but I am curious if these will have better audio quality than the LIVE 300TWS I'm used to. Also do we know when these are going to release in the US?

    All you reviewers out there fail to realize that there is a large group of people whom y'all don't take into account: professional users. And I don't mean professional users as music professionals, but as people who work in heavy industries who do not buy these things to listen to music, but to protect their hearing. I work in a large metal factory where hearing protection is of paramount importance. Listening to music is for obvious reasons not allowed and no one does it, but everyone is walking around wearing all sorts of earbuds nevertheless. That 'gimmicky' little case is a game changer for me. For years, I have used a wired Bose earbud, which had its own power bank attached to it. It wasn't the most ideal solution, but the protection it offered was the best I ever had. Still, cables and a power bank hanging around on me wasn't comfortable. I changed to wireless earbuds, Bose too, but they couldn't be used as stand alone, they had to be connected to a device, otherwise the ANC would turn off after a few minutes.
    JBL has finally created something that eliminates the need to carry around the phone on me. Props JBL!

    Yep this is a gimmick. The only way this could've worked is by doing something for which I won't need the phone. Like maybe store some songs and use it as a standalone walkman as well?
    The things that it can do, my $150 phone can do better and faster. In that case, I'll use the phone.

    If the batteries were easy to replace or even replaceable that would be amazing

    ok...this case makes no sense at all. it takes me just as long to get my smartphone out of my pocket and i'm even quicker to use it with my smartphone. all the manufacturers can't think of anything clever anymore.

    If it hadn't been for the dreadful tampon-style buds, I'd definitely check them out.I'll just stick to my Sonys.

    Never been a fan of JBL. This product is just borderline stupid. A screen nobody asked for, for the money you can get yourself a significantly better pair of plastic mini-speakers with. Yeah, from those manufacturers, who spend the budget on the actual sound quality, not on some useless gimmicks. Based on the Spurt's short and unimpressive description of how they sound... verdict - garbage. It actually doesn't matter how good they're built, how nice is the connectivity, how vast are the customization options and so on... If they can't compete within the price range in terms of the number one thing that matters - it's total and absolute trash. Throw them away :)
