Read this if you bought an O’Reilly Brake Light Switch and continue to have issues. It started out for me with My brake lights stopped working. I replaced the brake light switch from O’Reilly and that fixed the problem. Then a few weeks later my ABS light and brake light indicators on my dash started illuminating. Checked fuse and it was fine. Replaced all four ABS wheel speed sensors still no luck. Scanner showed no codes. Then read on a forum to not use the O’Reilly standard brake light switch. So I replaced it with an AC Delco brand ($26) and problem fixed, no more issues.

Wheel speed sensor. If you have an ABS light this light can come on for about 100 different reasons when I made this video I did not know that he can come on for just about anything trying to get you to take it down to the dealership ridiculous as crap
Hey just got my chevey 3 month ago never had one before so ok I changed brake switch and pluggs out 2011 Chevy silverado Texas editon with no ckeck engine light or abs but stabilitrak light comes on and stays on for awhile get out of it and can crank it up later and no light it is speratic no clue what up please help
Well there’s a lot of things that could be Pete, i’m certain if you give it a scan with a higher level scanner that gives you the ability to scan all the different systems in it it will point you to the correct problem. Unfortunately at the time when I made this video I was not aware that there was over 100 different things that can cause this light to come on that’s the reason I kind of gave you a vague answer
Chevy Silverado 2010 I change the rear tires They are bigger than the ones on the front now the abs light on traction control is on and brake light what is it
Your wheel speed sensors are moving at different speeds because you have different size tires on there you can’t do that with four-wheel-drive, And if you do it with a 2 Wheel Dr. truck it will shut down your ABS system and revert back to manual brakes but the light will stay on
Okay I got in the truck shut the traction control off when it started the lights never came on does that tell me anything but I get it the front wheels are turning at a different speed in the rear was a rare are much bigger thinking that thank you

Good morning That stability track light comes on for a bunch of different reasons and in your situation it’s more than likely that you have an engine misfire or something is not working properly in your engine. With these vehicles it’s also possible that you have a bad AFM lifter and it’s causing a misfire. I recommend you have the vehicle scanned and it could be as simple as a tuneup and as major as bad lifters

Sadly, as a disabled 73 yr old lady, if I don't try to fix it I'll have added issues from the 'professionals' who like to insure they tear up more than they repair.....I've exhausted my search for an honest mechanic including the auto dealer I bought it from new. I still have a carberater mindset & am not pc savvy. Another video showed where they cleaned out where air intake is as info on dash said engine power lessened too & the engine light came on as well. It showed spraying in a can cleaner (I've saved it for correct stuffs to buy). Would that be wise 1st as it'd be easier for me to try. I've no one to assist me & live in the country hence I need my vehicle to survive. I've a '14 Silverado. IF by chance you know of an honest person off I-24 in TN, 50 miles north of Chattanooga, I'd be very very grateful. Thank you, HUGS2U
Well I totally understand where you coming from it is difficult to know when somebody is treating you right and being honest and being fair. I love Tennessee it’s a beautiful state . With extremely nice people such as yourself. I don’t think it would hurt to clean the throttle like what they were describing in the video you watched it’s a rather simple thing to do. So I would say go ahead and give it a try I will also try to find somebody in your area that may be able to help you in the future could you please give me your ZIP Code? Mines doing this no codes I greased the steering wheel sensor and wedged it it's still there but no codes and it just a traction control light that's on what sensor is this ?
I've got a 2015 SilveradoMy Stabilitrack light cones on sometimes. At various times when either using my turn signal or decelerating, my display panels both on the dash and radio go blank for a few seconds. Sometimes the stabilitrack light cones on sometimes it doesn't but also looks like my airbag light comes on briefly then goes out. Truck appears to be running fine through all this and displays come back after a few seconds and it even takes out my dash cigarette lighter for a few seconds. Once back on it's like nothing has happened. Any clue as to what's causing this? What's strange is it won't happen on my way to my destination but always on my way home. Latest issue was yesterday going to work. My 1.5hr drive no issues, on my way home it happened about 3-4 times each time being different and happening either when using my signal or slowing down.
ay man did u ever figure out what the cause was bc my 2014 chevy 1500 keeps doing the same thing man just started yesterday on my way to work i was on the highway scared the shit outta me and then did it 3 more times and then this morning did it twice on the highway again
@@samwitnik4929 @Sam Witnik Chevy dealer thinks it was low voltage in battery that triggered it, due to the code it was giving. They over charged the battery a bit to correct this. Which my understanding is the alternators job.... Since then it has happened only a few times. But still occuring. Be careful. If it happens when steering, you loose power steering. Can cause an accident. It's very dangerous. IMHO. I'd love to sue Chevy for this. Because it's clear they all have had electrical problems for decades. and it's not just one problem. ppl fix this issue in so many different ways that I've read.
@@devilmaypoop7347 yeah its happened before on my truck where my truck literally came to a dead stop from going 35 just died and couldnt control it luckly got it fixed instantly and it was something on my battery only costed like $29 it was a cheap fix this was about 4-5 months ago and now it's happening again but not like last time literally radio cuts and then everything on my dash for 3-5 seconds if not shorter going to a dealership monday to hopefully see whats causing it someone said it's probably the alternator but idk

Well I would check your transmission fluid level possibly even change the transmission fluid and filter.The traction stability control will come in for that pretty much comes on for just about everything

If my stabiltrak and and came on after having a lift installed what could it be wheel sensors and and sensor have been replaced
Read this if you bought an O’Reilly Brake Light Switch and continue to have issues. It started out for me with My brake lights stopped working. Besides the msg on/off, there is a noise coming from the TCS…any idea? Yes, Im replacing the switch but not sure if is the end if this.

Turned out my battery cables were loose. Tightened up and issue hasn't happened since.
My lights on and say “stabilitrak off” NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Wtf?
