this is probably by far the most informational video regarding any car part....that i've watched from your channel, great job!!! keep up the great work!!! would have been even more awesome to see how the car brakes as part of the video :)
I did this on my 04 honda accord 6 speed coupe. Instead of this I just swapped the entire steering knuckle. I bought a used set of TL brembos off ebay. For $350 and I rebuilt them. And used the steel braided brake lines from stop tech. With a different banjo bolt to fit the calipers. All in I'm out $650 including carbon ceramic power stop brake pads
spoon calipers are considered a big brake kit. the clamping pressure from 4 pistons will always be far greater than one giant piston pressing on one side of the rotor. they are not just for looks FYI
Should’ve gone with DC5 Creation direct bolt on kit. Instead of using the spacer. You could send out your calipers and get them re-drilled for direct bolt on. Look into his website his products are good imo.
im doing the same kit on my 8th gen si but im confused. for the MC the OE brake lines are 10mm but the ones for the TLS are 12mm. what was your fix for this
Is the brake master cylinder absolutely necessary for brembos to work? I got DC5 creations TL Type S brembo kit, and I’ve got everything (stop tech ss lines, rotors and pads + brembo calipers) except the master cylinder cuz I see people say it’s “optional” but don’t want to run into issues. Thanks bro. I have a 9th gen Si btw
im in the same situation with my 8th gen si rn.... my brake pedal rn is nothing, nothing then suddenly everything and tries to lock up the wheels. idk if its the calipers or my master or there is air in my lines still. was emailing back and forth with DC5 and he said he runs the OEM master from the 8th gen on his own car
@_Silver15Si_ im about to walk into an acura dealer to try and get some info about the TLS MC, obviously this is aftermarket stuff so if they can get me an answer I'll head to my tuner and ask them. I'll let u know what they say
@_Silver15Si_ as far as I've been able to find out, the OE master is the best option. Both acura and my tuner couldn't tell me anything about it. What does your pedal feel like with the stock master? Like how close to OEM does it feel?
Hey man, just a question. So I did this conversion. Everything went well, except for the master cylinder which is the main issue. And all my parts like the pads, rotors, and master cylinder were from the Acura TL-S. The issue was the holes of the MC for the stock hard brake lines were too big. Yours were bolt on, right? Should I have ordered a non TL-S brake master instead? I'm lost. Thanks
No, I actually bought everything off a friend for $600. But kit on the website you provided doesn’t include the BMC, fluid, variations of ss lines plus the different brake pads I used and rotors you can purchase. You have to also include the aerogenic spacers.
@@Seikers the SS you can add it to the kit and the bmc that 220 extra and it depends on what rotors you get you don't need spacers and the kit includes shims. also this kit you don't have to drilled out your spindle, the calipers are cnc machined for direct bolt on. just saying $1500 is to much for that.
You should list all the parts that the calipers need to swap into 8th gen SI
Yellow calipers!!
Yes!

thank you! The video was super long so we gonna do a separate video for that!

The Content Is Fire Why Are They So Under Rated.

I think you can use s2000 rotors no need for spacers or extended studs
That’s true, all you need is the TL S brake master cylinder and to drill into the knuckle so that the bolts fit
U guys are Hilarious 😂 Its cool to see little boys learning to work on they're own cars!😂😂
yellow or a hot pinkish red brakes would contrast the blue really well and go along with the gunmetal too
And just so you know you can use either 300mm rotors or the optional 310mm rotors
Andrew clowning your voice crack LMAO 😂
Good to see some "4 door McLaren" content 😉

What’s the website brother?
How do they perform? Are you glad you did the upgrade? How’s the petal feel?
love your guys videos, keep up the good work. You guys should get a new 10th gen Type R when you guys are getting your next big purchase
Where did you get them caliper bolts
im doing the same kit on my 8th gen si but im confused. for the MC the OE brake lines are 10mm but the ones for the TLS are 12mm. what was your fix for this
Support my guys! Keep it up !
Did you have to bore out the rotors for the spacer? Only asking cuz it says that on their website
Thanks for this video bro!! Excellent diy video n install!!
Sees notification on phone, goes to the channel on my laptop, no new videos 🙃 forced to watch on my phone

SHEEESH cleanest fd2😍😍
Where can I get the brembos at for my car?
You know you made it when your videos have ads 😎
Idol what happen when you dont used 5mm inner spacer? And what is the diameter of that rotor disc?
Which rotors? I plan to install tl calipers on 10th Gen
Will this setup clear 17" wheels? Thanks
The si's brake lines are 12mm fittings into the MC? I have a 2009 Honda civic (lx) and my lines are a 10mm (which dont fit into the tls mc)
Did you figure out what you had to do stuck figuring out same problem?
whats the part number on the bolts?
Hey man! curious to why you put the camber bolts on the positive side?
Just noticed, you have two camber bolts on ur strut assy?
Why the master cylinder?
Part list? Can you provide one please 🙏🏽

@ weird.. i asked him too and he told me OEM should be fine as well, I seriously don’t want to run into braking issues, especially being supercharged.
@ if you find out what’s wrong, keep me updated pls bro

What year tl type s brake master cylinder did you use?
Gold calipers! Does the center hub size change? So what size will we need if we have aftermarket wheels?
it doesn't change
Where did you get the rotor spacers ?
do u have the links to all the parts?
How does the pedal feel? I like a stiff stiff pedal
Pls tell me…. Where did you buy the aerogenics spacers? Thx
Is this a F40 on a 17 inch?
where did you get the longer studs
Would anyone have a dimension on the outside width of these? my RLs wont clear my wheels.
Off topic, but that hair style really fucking suits you fr fr
What wheel specs? Fit nice!
Highlighter Yellow with highlighter yellow valve cover

The holes should be the same as stock. Maybe you got a MC for a different car. Both models of tl use the same MC so that isn't your problem.
Canadian car?
What specs are your TC4?
White is a good choice! 👍👍
YELLOW on the calipers
you guys forgot to edit out 4:23
Daaaaamn I got a new phone and don’t got your number anymore was wondering if Andrew still had that jdm teggy shell for sell
sold sorry 😢
Plz parts link !
maxspeedingrods on the nsx 👀👀👀
😂
Where the rotors bored out for the spacer?
with the spacers you do not need to bore out the rotors
@@Seikers I was wondering the same thing? On their website it says you have to bore the rotors, that’s why I never got the spacers 🤣
I’m getting the front calipers for $200 on Facebook lol. Not painted tho just the black with acura on them.
where did you get the brakes from?
i actually got it off a friend but visionautoworks sells a kit
COOL VID

you over paid for them type s brembo kit, dc5creations sells the whole kit for $800
