Boy did I find out the hard way!! Downshifting into 2nd gear at VIR had me spinning like a top 😅 Do you have to use the clutch always when you use the paddle shifters??
Thanks for the question. I use the Auto Blip setting on iRacing with only using the accelerator and brake pedals. Hopefully this helps a little bit more.
Feather the throttle when downshifting, set brake bias to 50% to allow some balance between front and tear tire slip and learn it. I don't use clutch, have auto blip and that's what gets me. 3rd is a long gear so make sure you're low in it before downshifting
@@Jack96993 brake bias is important since in f1 you can slam on the brakes with a 50% bias and the car will comfortably slide but in nascar you want higher bias to drop the nose down to angle into turns. It's really personal preference though. You can change brake bias in fixed races, I think it's f7 or f8 in race on the fly adjustments. And for the rookie smashing no, even if you're class A it still happens 😂
Of course you can. We currently race TCR, Prototypes, F4 and USF2000. discord.gg/M24VKWfPMT. If you join the Discord from that link and then follow the joining process, we'll get you set up.
Idk how your channel is so small this was some amazing information
Thanks buddy keep it up
Thanks so much Dustin, really appreciate your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Good Video Steve. I learnt a couple of things 😃

@sirseven3
Thanks for that information I didn't even check the brake bias....me bad? I think I can change it, even in fixed setup.....yes?
@stevep2879
Thanks, is there a setting for crazy rookies that hit you from behind? 😅

Great vid
Thank you!
Is there anywhere else I can get information on your hosted servers? I so hate Discord.
Hi, to race in our league we require drivers be on our discord, It's a vital way of communicating with them.
Good info but 2nd Gear is not used on 99.9% of tracks which is worth highlights.
Absolutely right. Thanks for watching and helping people with the car.
Just started with Iracing, and this car is bugging me, I've been using too many gear apparently
Yes that happens with the Vee! Hopefully the tips are helping and you're finding speed.
And race in your league
Sent you the Discord link in the other comment Simon. See you there hopefully.
