Welcome all new players to the world of ace combat. After playing AC 7 for the first time a few years ago i had to buy a ps2 so i could play the retro titles and after that there was no going back. I LOVE ace combat. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t shoot anyone down on your first mission. Just try again.

Got the game on switch and I understand why you got it on multiple platforms - it is amazing. Spent 5 hours playing it yesterday. I'm officially a fan.
Well it's better on Playstation 5 than Steam. More optimized than PC where you can't even update your drivers without your PC shutting down. We need to normalize shaming PC players more for supporting that nonsense.

There's been a few Ace Combat spinoff games on the Game Boy Advance but we never actually got a main game. I mean, they were Sony exclusives until AC6. Then there were the spinoff games like Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and that free to play game on the PS3. It's cool to see AC7 for the Nintendo Switch
The music is so good in Ace Combat.
I remember when I was a nugget a few years back... Now I can happily say as an Ace Combat veteran, welcome all new players! This is probably going to be the last we see of Ace Combat 7 until the next game, coming hopefully soon.
This is one of those games that you will love watching your own replays!

Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown brought me back from the dead of jet fighter games. I bought this on PS4 when it was on sale last month. Both games are hype. (The anime emblems in this game is like a cherry on top for me.)
There’s aren’t enough arial combat games it seems. But I’ve heard Ace Combat is incredible.

I thought this series was like Call of Duty with planes and slightly more plot but this trailer is badass, I might actually give it a try.
Nah, mate. They could not be more different. Ace Combat has always been focused on single player, while CoD has just become multiplayer cancer.
Only Ace Combat Steel Horizon tried to be like that and failed.
How ironic that the 3DS entry was a remake of a PS1 game and turned out to be the superior game lol

Impressive that it runs on the Switch, albeit at a locked 30 FPS. Not saying it's a bad thing, just knowing the necessary tradeoffs in order to get it running on the Switch. At least it runs a bit better than the port of the "Arkham" games, especially the port of "Arkham Knight".
You won't believe unless you play it but this probably gonna be the best "Star Fox" substitute you're gonna to get on the switch.

Played the first few missions and online its a locked 30FPS im pretty shocked tbh image quality is pretty good as well and with a game like this the blurry ground textures and pop in dont stand out much and again surprisingly the plane models look good and at gameplay distance the textures hold up just dont zoom in on the model viewer 😅

It's more of a medieval fantasy but with fighter jets instead of dragons, with some cast members from Fire Emblem, 3 Houses to be more specific. Have fun losing Claude to Ike for accessing top-secret intel
Good news its plays excellent with 30fps locked bad news they didn't include all the DLC! and charge 15 pounds for things like the top gun DLC. I mean im glad it came over but that was a massive let down

This will be my first foray into the Ace Combat franchise and I'm looking forward to having some different on my Switch OLED ^-^ plus I'm psyched about having the Top Gun: Maverick DLC set included in this uber awesome port of the game. Depends how well they have optimised it. Runs well on my PC but it's really good.

For me, the appeal here is playing it in handheld mode. But I can't help but wonder if there's any kind of flight stick option for when I'm playing docked? I might just stick with the PS4 version & the stick for that.

Certain DLC requires separate purchase (like the Top Gun DLC), the SP Missions and certain planes are available when purchasing the game

I bought it at 60 because it includes a lot of the dlc (top gun is separate though), it is worth it - but if you feel it will hurt you financially I'd say wait. This game goes on sale a lot on other consoles it'll likely go on sale on the switch too. Switch has good sales almost every month.
