I actually want this on my switch. It just feels like it’s as close to GT or Forza I can get.
Is it actually a simcade? I do want to get a simcade on Switch (I only have NFS HP remastered but that is arcade). But only good simcade on Switch that I can find is Grid Autosport?
So is this game good for a simcade or what? I’m just asking.

I'm not really a fan of these types of racing games, but it feels like there's not really enough of them on Switch for those who are fans.

There isn't, and we can't exactly port Asseto Corsa or F1 24 to Switch
Grid autosport is the greatest car game on the switch atm. Its quite a good game actually

Could be changed slightly by having artificially delayed acceleration so it goes like 70-100 over a bit of time

I want to love this, but without full analog control over gas and brakes, I'm always disappointed by how non-arcade racers play on Switch. Here's hoping the next system ditches digital triggers.
I don't know why Nintendo ditched Analog buttons after the GameCube. They really should now consider making a controller with analog shoulder buttons and allow mappable controls so even games like Mario Kart, you don't have to rely on holding the A button.

@@kyongu375yes, a number of games have gamecube analogue trigger support either originally built in or added. Including even non-traditional ones like Trials. I know GRID auto-supports it, but to be fair, it also supports like every single controller on the market you can use for it. Heck GRID even supports the Labo wheel, should you put that one together.

You can also use the "Y" button. It helps so much when playing on 200cc.

Yeah, using cameras, rendering to texture, good stuff but can be performance heavy, depends on the texture resolution. So it's neat if the performance won't be hurt by this!
@kyleebrock I don't understand what that means. I play GT 7 with PSVR 2 if you wanna know. The point I made that nor GT7, nor Forza can't reflect back of their own cars in the mirrors, only Euro truck simulator 2 does, but only because it's gameplay necessary. While this game for some reason just dare to do it.

This looks good if only it ran at 60fps. I’m no elitist but some genres ( fighting, racing) should run smoothly as part of the experience imo. Judging from the trailer it’s around 30? Otherwise I’ve been yearning for a sim style racer on Nintendo consoles for years to round out Mario Kart and F-Zero style racers so hoping this is good and maybe some performance upgrades down the line or on the next console!

It's really too bad the Switches controllers don't have analog triggers. Either being full on or full off for the gas and brakes is truly awful, and moving those to the right thumb stick isn't the same.
I wonder if we will be able to use the right analog to control acceleration, Gran Turismo 4 style

This is shaping up to be the next Project Cars! This will be the best racing game I will ever play, and if they disagree, that's fine. After all, we are all entitled to our own opinions. Wait a minute, you can BUILD the Formula X-Treme by winning events in each championship?! What?! Ok, this racing game is really good. This game has many good cars, especially the fictional ones. And there are some tracks I haven't even heard of! I can't wait to drive on them to know how it feels!

While I LOVE the idea of an actual racing sim on Switch... the fact that the console doesn't have full analog triggers is such a loss. Even if they do the early Gran Turismo PS1 approach, making the A/B buttons slowly increase the pedal pressure over time, that still isn't ideal...
