Why You Might Want A TLR Tuned ARRMA Typhon! It Handles Awesome

  • I'm catching up on all the footage I shot at Horizon RC Fest just over a week ago. I had a ton of run footage of the TLR Tuned Typhon and decided it was best to do minimal editing to it so that you can see how well it handles and allows you to line up the next jump for a really fun driving experience. This car was given to me by Horizon Hobby to create videos for you and describe my experiences running it. So I handed the controller to others to let them give it a whirl.
    I opted to drive it on the bash area "track" they had setup, but to try to fully utilize the jumps and corners they setup to link hits instead of just line up one jump over and over. You can see how little we crashed our first time running it. I say "we" because I handed off the controller to Josh Rhodes, Josh Zimmerman, and Hayden Brandt to try it on the bash area. My first two crashes actually happened because I was trying to whip it and haven’t really learned how to do that.
    I'm very impressed by this buggy and think that there will be a lot of people running this platform in the near future.

      @@karol0098 It should definitely be better than the 3s blx, but if you're new to the hobby or don't care too much about performance around a race track I'd go for the 3s blx. It's a lot cheaper, and would still be a blast to drive.

      I figure that if a company is willing to send me a vehicle to show people on TH-cam....I should also let them try it out in person too..especially if most parts are readily available to fix it. There have been a few new ones (like the LMT) that took a while for parts to be available and I might be hesitant until I can get parts to fix it (though that wasn't the case with the LMT...I handed over the radios even though parts weren't available).

      Losi didnt make it, It is an Arrma Typhon with TLR parts, EXB parts and new Parts specifically for it. its all 7075-t6. Basically Arrma gave the Typhon 6s to Losi TR, told them to make it better for track, and they gave it back with half TLR parts and all the adjustments for racing :)

    Good intro buggy in your mind? I've never had one, but there are a few that have caught my eye. I understand the person controlling it can make it look easy, but if it is that easy to control, I'd like to think it's a good intro car as well.

    • @CCxRC
      @CCxRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you have other RCs or this would be an intro to RC as well? They make a 3s BLX typhon that is a good starter. This would take the riggers of an intro buggy, but it will cost more if you don't have any electronics to put into it. You'll be close to $700+ all in before batteries and a charger
