I've forgotten alot on tuning 🤔🤫. I used to race stock cars on 200ft+ embankment rc track for 2 years, 23 years ago. Totally different than the typhon buggy!!! It's been too long! May have to get these steering parts for my limitless!
Thank you Earl for the refresher course 🤗💯%🙏👍☝️

@@earlmoorhead5555 yes it is fun and to watch and relearn!!!
One maybe two different adjustments at once! You know why? The limitless could benefit from these parts and adjustments?
      Very cool!😎

Bought mine a few days ago and am already encountering this problem, have had it 3 days and already did the kraton hubs and carriers and axle ends with the EXB braces and the LED lights with the RPM rear skid plate and RPM front bumper. This is by far my favorite RC vehicle ever! I love it!

Dude it’s been over a month, I just got my MX28 belted badlands on and have gone with the 1250kv 8s spektrum system….I’m still fighting the steering issues 😢 it’s gotta be perfect! I’m just not happy with it the way it is even after changing servo arms, turnbuckles. I mean come on! 😂 It’s crazy fast on 8s and handles great but it turn’s extremely sharp to the left and does little to nothing when turning to the right. So I’m watching this video as I’m tearing all of the front suspension now. AGAIN! 😂 If I get it fixed tonight I’ll upload a short clip of it ripping around! This video has helped me understand a lot, thanks!

I don't know if this applies to the Typhoon TT (ie. TLR Tuned) Roller, but it might be worth checking. With the Typhon TT, you have 3 Ackerman adjustment holes - forward, mid, and rear On my TLR 22 5.0 DC, as well as my XRAY XB2C, the same adjustment is done slightly differently, by using different thickness spacers. I know that part didn't help you...but, it shows that the Ackerman angle is adjusted in a similar manner.
Now, for the part that might help you. With both of my buddies, you can further adjust the Ackerman angle by flipping the Ackerman plate. It is just one of the build/setup steps that differentiates between a dirt/clay vehicle, and an asphalt/carpet vehicle. The 'rearward' mounting of the Ackerman plate (as the Typhon TT always to be) is a dirt/clay position...which makes sense, as the Typhon TT is tuned for dirt/clay. With the Ackerman plate flipped (moving the 3 adjustment positions further forward), such would be an asphalt/carpet position. I can't post a photo of what I'm describing...but, if you were to download the build manual for the XRAY XB2 2021, and look at the top panel of page 25, you'd see exactly what I'm referring to. Then, you could disassemble the front end of the Typhon TT, and see if the Ackerman plate can be flipped. If you're on Facebook, I could message you, attaching the image.

Fantastic video buddy! super enjoy your videos and journey. It's been a long time looking to get a decent video of someone breaking down the benefits and factors of the adjustments especially as its rear to find anyone showing setups with the TLR. Most videos are the same here's a new motor or upgrades but nothing regarding setup for specific surfaces and tyres. Keep up the good work its appreciated.

Maaan! quite a long video for only changing the position of the ackermann bar and fixing the slop in upper piwotballs!🤣
Again I love to point out the commenting on your thoughts to why change what on the setup!!!!!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯✅ your enthusiasm and knowledge on getting a rc working better is fantastic to see! I’ve said that before and maybe much times again but I would love to meet you in person and do and discuss these things with you! I my opinion the change on the ackermann bar just changes the steering angle of the inner and outer wheel- mustn’t be bad, but I think you didn’t expand the contact of the front wheels in turning position 🤔
So I know that you know that on setup only works for one condition! Changing the ridehight just a few millimeters because of the asphalt isn’t absolutely flat will change all other suspensionangles and cause a pretty bad handling- although the difffluids do. But in my opinion you’re very well with the choice you make yet! 👍🏻✅
Go on and try what you think 💭 I‘m excited to see what your changes cause to the handling.?! At least I want to point out that you please don’t feel bullied by my comments!!! I‘m not a pro driver or at least near that- just a guy who has his own thoughts and like to share this ✌🏻

So...for scientific purposes, im running 100k in the front and rear and 20M in thr center. Rather than planted wheels, im utilizing slide into corners and as for jumps and an evenly based thottle plant prior to a jump, i have seem to notice a super air control with the typhon. Literally its a slide through the push almost never off the throttle. Also running even more backwardsness, 50 in the rear shocks with 3 hole 1.3 pistons, and 40 in front shocks with 3 hole 1.5 holes. Racing at Gulf Coast Raceway/ Mikes Hobby Shop... and tires, im just using proline pins butbi want to try AKA Scribbles

Move all the spacers/shims on the upper arm at the rear of the arm. Move all the spacers/shims on the lower arm toward the front of the chassis. Should help, though I don’t know if it’ll bring the Ackerman down enough.

I’m a little late but have you tried a thinner rear sway bar to stop the rear end lifting? I would suggest watching JQ, he is pretty much only racing but I don’t see why the information wouldn’t roll over to blacktop as well. He recently did a video about sway bars and this seems to be the possible solution. Check it out and see what you think of the information provided by him. Have fun!
