    Dennis! So glad to see that you too could get your hands on a pair of the 1873 XX Waist Overalls! I felt so lucky getting to grab my pair (80/150) and have already done a tub soak. This jean may have the most beautiful blue color on any clothing I’ve ever owned. I’m so happy to have them and to get to wear them with love. Peace, Chase

    I’d like to see you do a video on the 511, (the best selling fit at Levi’s at one point, possibly to this day) Information on that pair is all over the place. It’s difficult to even find a the date they were introduced . Some second hand pairs marked 511 seem to be straight fit, while we all know the 511 to be slim fit. (Or “skinny” fit 10-15 years ago)

    Great comparison here Den!
    I'm personally glad to see them evolving the Made & Crafted line to Made In Japan, it seems like that may be my primary line going forward with LVC setting off into the sunset.

      It’s been around for a year now. I see them adding years, 1980s. I wonder if it’s sticking around.

    Some of the new Made in Japan line is on the US website, it's not all selvedge and it's at high price points. What Levis did by killing off LVC was make me start buying japanese brands (i.e, Kapital, iron hart, momotaro etc.). Love the channel, still love LVC, but Levis is done for me.

    Wait till next year. There will be something Made In the USA... not specific for now!

    I love the fit of that regular STF Levi's 501👖. That's the one that I'm wearing and enjoying everyday (PC9-00501-0000). Soaked it once, no wash (maybe after 7 months). Though I don't cuff because its not selvedge, but I love to tuck in my tshirt or polo shirt to show that extended patch that has the lot number 501. 🎉

      I’m a tucker too. It drove my high school friends crazy. 7 months. Wow. I’m a month in.

    I should have found your videos before I bought my collectible 150th anniversary Levi's.
    They are new, but I am not sure what decade they represent.
    Leather patch, buckle back, rivet in the crouch, 34x34 501s!
    BTW, I have only been wearing 501s for about 40 years. 🤠

    Can you please make video of 501xx and 501XX history. Your channel is like a discovery channel that Iove watching. Given the history of levis. There are a lot of confusions on the line ups. Just got my 2nd 501 selvedge lately and got 501xx and a stf red 501( cringe). The 501xx fits and feels very nice to the skin.

    such a shame. Levis could be with LVC what RRL is, but authentic.

    My pair of Egypt made modern 501 feel thicker than Poland and China pairs i have something like 12 or 14 oz supposed to 10oz or 12oz feeling of others. Do you feel something like that as well?

    • @denindenim
      @denindenim  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It feels stable. A month in and it’s barely worn. Gonna get the plant based 501s made in Poland soon. I’ll definitely test it against that. I heard the banner jeans are super thin.
