Don't think there will be an LT version, this was car wasn't planned. Due to covid it changes circumstances.

Just received my 2023 C8 Stingray in Torch Red. Paid $70k.....The car is fast....looks great 0 to 60 in 2.9 sec, don't need to go any faster than that turns alot of heads , what a fun car for the money without spending thousands..... That's my poor man's McLaren!
Why go for an American car, if you're in a price bracket, where you could already get something European?
McLaren is known for their terrible quality compared to Lamborghini, Ferrari, Audi and especially Porsche -- but they're still world's ahead of everything from the US

I could honestly see them passing up that proposition. For example, Ferrari never made a special version of an F8. The 750S is essentially McLaren’s Ferrari F8: a facelift before a brand new model arrives

We need a new car to rival the Ferrari 296. This feels like a facelift of the 720s
Pretty sure the McLaren is 200kg lighter than the Ferrari, that's pretty significant.
I'll take this over a hybrid.
Well it IS a facelift of the 720s. And btw it’s much lighter than the Ferrari. The 296 was already comparable to the 720s. Now this one has slightly more power and a better tune
Old 720 is already fast enough to compete with the 296, this one will be even better,
But, 765 is just much better, also looks better, and matches with the hybrid sf90 on the drag strip with a record 1/4mile time of 9.3s, and it is also definitely fast around the track
I know. But the 720s feels older now.

when the 720s came out, it was a HUGE step ahead of the 675lt, let alone the 650s. The 750s seems to be to keep 765lt and senna owners happy by holding the replacement back. This is a big mistake imo. The 765lt is already slower than the 296gtb in terms of sheer acceleration. The 750s will be even slower despite being brand spanking new.
765 lt is god damn not slower than 296gtb. actually its as fast as sf90
But the Mclarens are much more stylish.

Hopefully they will fix their electricals/computers in these cars. They make some of the fastest cars on this planet. However, build quality and reliability is trash.
Thats not been true since the MP12, as reliability goes they are pretty decent these days in the supercar world.
Why release a car that's slower than the 765LT? I presume theres going to be a 795LT?
it's a refresh of the outgoing 720s, not intended to be faster than the LT or above it in any way

The 720s/750s are McLaren's road series cars (lots of comfort with the speed) the 765LT is the stripped out, hardcore version of the range and there will be, I'm sure a later LT model that goes with this car. It's also worth considering the LT cars are built in far smaller numbers at a much higher price. As it goes the 750s may actually be faster than the 765LT in a straight line, it has far less areo (the 765LT is track focused), it also has the 765LT transmission (shorter geared from the 720s 216mph to the 765LT 203mph) and is marginally down on power (-16bhp or about 2%) and the 750s has apparently (unconfirmed) updated electronics.
@@S-T-E-V-E probably the people who don't care to spend an extra $60k, simply can't find a 765LT new because it was a limited production run (765 made), or just want an overall more refined car. there's a reason they are separate models sold alongside each other, it's because there's different spots in the lineup to fill
