    There were some absolute brain damaged specimens in the comments section of last video. So, to clear up a few things.
    I am a full time online poker player - and I am 18 years old.
    I have been playing online and studying for multiple years. I used to study + play poker for ridiculous hours even on school days. I built up a roll from 5nl all by myself, with no staking, to playing 200nl and then was making enough to play full time.
    I have essentially no school grades because I sacrificed it to study and learn poker.
    The speculation is pretty reasonable but the way some of you dim fucks went about questioning is so embarrassing. Fortunately you guys are not very hard to prove wrong.
    On top of that, I am an official coach for DTO.POKER + I have multiple fellow professionals that can attest to my dedication to poker for the last few years. I have been super active in the DTO community for years now but being underage for the majority of the time I decided it would be best to keep out of the broader public eye. I now don't have to tip toe around poker, hence why I can now upload content.
    Comment down below what you guys want to see more of.
    Do we prefer study videos? Or live plays?
    What stakes do you want to see next? 5NL? 400NL? 50NL?
    Please like and subscribe and comment! It's good for the algorithm.

      Hey, I am also trying to do the same but cant beat 5nl yet. Do you have any tips on how to study towards consitently beating micro stakes?
      Love the channel, I would suggest a mix of gameplay and educational videos

    • @jeongjinpoker
      @jeongjinpoker  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@00Akarsh00 Hey! Beating microstakes is generally a case of being tight and disciplined (making good hands and value betting aggressively). However, it's not plug and play, every spot/scenario is different.
      It's difficult to say exactly what you need to do because everyone's situation is different and I don't actually know what level you're at. I would say to use trainers such as GTO Wizard or DTO POKER to study and track progress. Additionally, when you're starting off quality > quantity, so don't play too many tables.
      If you're actually putting in hours studying and being disciplined at the tables, you're already past the 90% of players in that player pool. It honestly shouldn't be too difficult to beat.
      Please also remember, you probably don't have a very big sample size of hands. So just because you're losing money doesn't necessarily mean you're not beating the games. Think about how you're PLAYING not the RESULTS. So be patient, poker is a long term venture. Good luck at the tables!

    Hey buddy. As someone who’s been successful playing mostly online full time for the last 5 years, I would recommend learning plo as well. Not only will it help your NL game, but you’ll find there’s lots of action from recs, more fish and whales in comparison to NL and less worry about RTA.

      @@jeongjinpoker good luck man, you’ll find as time goes on it’s not the technical playing ability that’s a problem it’s all of the other intangibles like good discipline with bankroll and managing your emotions, seat/game selection, maintaining proper physical and mental health, etc. those are what separates consistent long term winners and the flash in a pan guys who mostly end up going busto or leaving poker as a career path.

    Hey Jeong, how did you first start studying poker? and how do you study the game now?

    • @jeongjinpoker
      @jeongjinpoker  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey!
      I think pretty much the same as everyone. else. Started with preflop charts, pot odds, basic maths like calculating equity, implied odds, reverse implied odds, MDF etc..
      In the beginning I also consumed a lot of poker online from TH-cam. I think it's worth noting I surrounded my self in poker, it was actually a really unhealthy obsession at one point so when everything you see and hear is just poker, you are bound to absorb information faster. Which is what I think happened with me.
      Then after a little while of playing cash - I started to looking into stuff like GTO Wizard and DTO POKER to work on my postflop game.
      I used GTOw a little bit then eventually ended up using DTO as my main study tool. Nowadays that's exclusively what I use.
      In terms of how I study the game now - I essentially just study sims. You try and pull heuristics away from sims, then when you are more comfortable with those heuristics you then start to look into more depth and build an advanced thought process. If you are interested, have a look at some of my study videos, you might get what I mean :D

    Hey just found your channel subbed right away. Was wondering if you’re able to share your hourly rate?
    I’m 19 years old myself and have been studying for 2-3 years and have pretty good knowledge. Always crush my home games.
    First of all are u in the u.s. Because I couldn’t find any sites for under 21?
    Also which stakes do you think are the easiest to crush the tables?

    • @jeongjinpoker
      @jeongjinpoker  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! I'm in the UK where you can play poker at 18. So unfortunately I know very little about US sites.
      Only been playing full time for a little bit so I don't know my hourly rate just yet. I have bb/100 estimates for each stakes but that's about it.
      In terms of stakes for me the easiest is 100nl on this site. Can beat this stake for 5bb/100.

      you really need to check out some variance calculators, there is so much variance in like 1 yr of poker play, you can either make 20k or 150k with the same winrate, so hourly doesnt really exist in poker
