I think with so much analysis and so little time, you can stick to 1 table. It becomes a bit difficult if ever both tables are active. While perhaps boring for TH-cam, 1 table would likely be a more educational approach in the future :)
I was somewhat feeling the same way. I guess i would say atleast trying a single table video would be worth a shot or editing it so that Its not really 2 at once every analyzed at the same time And i know the point of these videos is not for analysis but it’s still part of it
hate to be that guy, but since its a theoretical series you should review some preflop spots, 43s is a losing open in any position even at 200nl, and K9o is always an open in the CO, also the 86o is not even close, losing almost tenth of a bb. Love the videos though, watching every one also it would really be cool to edit in solver solutions on some of if not a bunch of the spots while you talk to see whats going on in the solver
I don't know. Sure it give up EV in some spots but I think it will also challenge me to play more accurately and find more good aggression. Also this pool contains a decent amount of weak players.
I’m curious if this comment is implying that he will not be able to play close enough to GTO, or if the comment is implying that playing perfect GTO wouldn’t work
Great content as always Pete. Interested in the KsQh hand where you said that you get looked up a lot in that spot because of the "doesnt make sense" thought process. You said it like that is not a valid thing to say? For that hand, i imagine if we are betting backdoor spades (which you are repping on the river OB) that you orobably want to barrel the turn when you pick up equity? So wouod it therefore be a valid argument to say that your line was a bit strange? Cheers again mate - looking forward to Jan and the release of the Carrot Corner subscription!
Love the series. How much hands are you going to play before your make any conclusions? Because the first 100K hands does not say that much due to standard variance?
How well do you think your courses translate to live play over online? Do you think the thought processes are still right but you would just account differently for global tendencies or do you see them as completely different games?
I think both types of course translate well. Grades 1-3 of Carrot Poker School are theoretical and general enough that they teach you how the game works; the whys and hows, not just what an exact GTO strategy looks like. You can get that from a solver but piecing together the nuts and bolts of poker is another thing altogether. Grade E and Cash Injection are exploitative and describe how humans deviate from solid strategies due to very common human thought patterns and behaviours that are standard across a very wide ranges of stakes and game formats.
Lol, I literally experimented this last night and saw this video in the morning.. funny In my experience it was very eye opening to realise in a lot of spots I was fighting the urge of my human tendencies/natural exploits and was actually very hard to do the GTO action based on my frequencies instead of thinking about the hand logically. Especially in spots where you know its underbluffed but GTO says call, most of the time I was correct and it ended up being the nuts, however I would say there was about 5% of the time a bluff that I would never suspect. More content like this plz!
I'd recommend checking out this variance calculator for a good answer to this: www.primedope.com/poker-variance-calculator/ There's no simple numerical answer but the bigger you get the closer to true winrate you see. I have had students who are winning players win over 150k then break even over the next 150. 6max cash has a pretty high standard deviation.
Really like the content. Nonetheless I can't help but notice that the word "tanked" was used for a 3 second call (J10 off rivered double pair guy). That's kinda much
With such a challenge, you're totally going to get into spots where you're beat 99% of the time, and have to call down "because gto". Gonna make you cringe so hard making such call downs when you know you're beat, and literally giving them a full stack.
Hi, new sub here🎉 very nice Channel btw and i like your honesty and the way you explain. I came back to poker After 3 years, Just playing nl2, the max i have never ever reached was nl50 years ago 😮 speaking about GTO concepts and stuff, i see that of course we use many different sizes with out range pre and post flop. I mean, i of course play exploitative at those infimouse limits 😂 nl2 i mean, i use different sizes post flop depending on opponent and texture, but not on pre flop. I see solver for exanple open 2x, 2.25 and 2.5 from utg with their range. I opted for 2x from utg and mp, 2.5 from co and 3x from btn and SB. The reason for my choice Is that i have too many multiway from early and i want my bigger sizes when i am in position. Is this a good thinking process or its Better to open say 3x with my entire range?
Cash game yeah. Atm im opening those sizes instead of a 3x or something every pos. Im finding my self in a good spot, adapting to the rake, avoiding multiway oop etc etc
you seem really knowledgable but 86o is never a bb call vs sb open 🤣 I think its like some frequency of 98o and Q9o as the bottom also i think gto is almost never calling (edit 3bets) 4bets with KQo OOP
i like this format/series cuz you can compare the winrate from this playstyle to your actual winrate and see how much more EV your exploits are winning :)
Hard to be exploitative when multi tabling. You’re missing out on critical information which can only be gathered by focusing in on one table. Information worth more than what HUDs can provide. Just because a player at a table has a 40+% VPIP doesn’t necessarily make them a maniac. Perhaps they are on a heater and are subsequently deciding to widen their ranges and are still playing well postflop. At that point, their VPIP/ATS can be misleading and cost you in big pots.
I truly love your content; I have purchased and studied your courses and poker therapy but i don't belive this format to be very exciting. Personally I would stick to a blend of theory and exploit, especially for paid content. I think it's much more valuable for your average audience.
Thanks for sharing your opinion on this. I plan to run a challenge along side this where I play exploitative poker and there will be a tonne of theory meets practice content on Carrot Corner along side these when we launch subscriptions.
I opened and everyone folded. The editor cuts out donwtime in this format. My cursor just happened to be over the fold button at the point where the scene was cut.

The rake on GG poker at the stakes featured here is about 2bb/100 higher than average. It gets worse than this at reg tables especially if you play lower stakes. You can find all of this information on primedope.com as I frequently say in videos. I’m not affiliated in any way with GG poker and have no reason whatsoever to promote them. There's no way 76s is a fold on the button. Right?
How much will the subscription be? and will the courses be included?
The subscription will be £49.99 per month and will not give access to the courses. We are considering discounts on courses for subscribers though.

@CarrotCornerPoker thank you. I've enjoyed the TH-cam videos so I may look into this

Can you please tell me what software you use for your randomizer?
It's a custom made program one of my students made

@CarrotCornerPoker Is it called RNGclick.exe? If not, can you possibly send me the software please? 🙏
