    For us mere mortals on the K7 hand we would be thinking, i have top pair and i block straights, i'm going to have to bluff catch here and Linus is like... forget that, i block boats and straights and my king is never good against Charlie's value range, i have to 3-bet bluff here. This match was wild and i think this journey is making you an even better poker player

      I think 34hh is one of the few hands that he goes bet, check, bet with, and he's using it to balance out some of the times he hits value taking the same line,

    • @moravec481
      @moravec481 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      JT could certainly take this line as well as maybe some other full houses that also play sometimes play this way. It's such a sick spot to bluff and nearly everyone will not bluff here, so a good player may just put the IP player on a full house and fold a straight. A low-frequency bluffing range ensures that you will not be exploited by players capable of making such folds.

      @kristianemilgaardenvinkel7188 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was for value. I don't remember how the hand went exactly, but I understand you are confused about a raise with a mediocre flush on that board. There's a big difference in how to play these kinds of spots in high stakes and in lower stakes. In lower stakes it would be a call most likely, and in high stakes it could be a raise for value, since the opponent will call with non-club hands as bluff-catchers.

    • @juuguns
      @juuguns 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kristianemilgaardenvinkel7188 Sure but maybe it's worth having another look at the hand then to see how it went on previous streets. From how it was played throughout there's a good argument to call the river raise based on the choice to open up such a situation. It's an even better spot for Linus to raise than in K7 hand.

    I pretty much only play heads up and do play some pros but not many, out of ten thousand games, I'm not sure I've seen more than one or two made hands check the board straight OP when they higher straight or a flush, maybe not the spot there, but that's a great spot to steal. If they have it makes almost zero sense to check OP because bet is so likely to get called.

    • @Furthermore23
      @Furthermore23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That "repping bluffs" i never understood on the hight stakes meta from some players. It wont be wiser to exploit other players when u feel they are weak "reading bluffs"(rebluffing or betting strong when they are weak)? That bluffs means throwing money from my point of view long term
      As the way charlie played the hand he has 5x Kx missed FD or some random bluffs. Dont get the point of turning K7 on that spot into a bluff since u got value against all random bluffs, missed FD, some combo draws as 67, 88 turned into a bluff (but sometimes that hand is on the call range of charlie pn the river).
      And if he is really Vb and Charlie has a king (ure holding and u block) some of the times charlie has a 5x on his range, which it means there is no reason to turn that hand into a bluff specially having the 7 of spades there, which also means charlie has less missed FD combos on the river.
      So the play from Linus is weird cause that K7 would play calling or folding imo. And actually his line looked like more as a boat than other thing, Charlie doesnt know that llinus is holding a seven Charlie will think he has a boat or he is bluffing. Turning that hand into a bluff bc u have a blocker seems to me not very clever since first of all u have to think what hand is the other guy raising with, and specially when your line doesnt make any sense. Thats why just call (cause u have enough SD value against some of charlie ranges bluffs) if u think Charlie is bluffing or fold if u think he is not.

    What an amazing video content! Poker on the other level! Love the 58s hand where Charlie merged with 58s and Llinus turned bluffcatch hand into a bluff! I guess 43s hand he was tilting)) Keep it up Charlie crushing high stakes reggs! Very entertaining! P.S. soul read first hand AK when Llinus 65 flop and 150% block bet turn, u should raise there Charlie/ enough equity to make him a tough spot!!!

      That was a bad play by Linus w K7, only folds he ever gets were bluffs that beat by his K and calls from I guess 100% of his value range there

      dude you saw like no hands...this video is not even considered as a samplesize. HU is about exploiting your OP over a large amount of hands... and win/lose like 3 to 4 Buy ins on average at this level i think..

    The little edits such as 5:40 really aren't needed and are distracting. Fun video though

    Zoom isn’t heads up. Zoom is zoom.
    I’d love to see a proper heads up match against Linus, though :)
