I would love to use new outlook. But seems impossible to have everything organized and collapsed by category in a shared maibox! (like you have in your "old outlook") Working in a shared box is now unbearable.

How do I organize the subfolders under my Inbox? I used to be able to drag up and down the folders to organize them. Now I only have the "Move" option and it auto puts the folder at the "Top of my chose location". Any ideas?

Customize auto correct and spelling are not available with beta desktop or Outlook Web versions. Text prediction is used. Recently. MS added Auto option but auto correct is not available. I advise to give MS feedback.
Cloud version fonts are not supported in New Outlook. I suspect you will have them later in the future, but MS has not said when. Interestingly, the Outlook Web version has fewer fonts to choose from. So, I hope all platforms have the same font family. I recommend giving Microsoft feedback. Very informative and I also appreciate how you mention providing feedback. I often opt-in for betas all the time because it’s the time period where most development teams are receptive to feedback because they are boggled down by production-related constraints. I usually continuously access the Feedback option via that Help section throughout my day. The hardest change currently is the new experience for shared inboxes but I hope Microsoft makes some adjustments prior to pushing this updated version out to the masses. Ctrl+Shift+F was earlier opening the "Advanced Search" and that is not available anymore. How can I now find in which folder my email is? I can find the mails from my folders, but I cannot find anymore the "folder path" just like it was shown on earlier advanced search.
@user-xt8vu5hs9t try this for now while MS fix the reported issue. you may go to Windows Start and search for Outlook, you will see both outlook, there is Outlook with PRE for new outlook in which you can open by olk.exe and the other outlook for the old in which you can use outlook.exe to open it.
Can't seem to edit/adjust column headings. Hey M$, I know my stored emails are from me, I need to know who the recipients are when I look at the listing! (Or is it just a ploy to get us to spend $60/year on the full Outlook subscription? Imagine if the USPS made you replace your mailbox every year just to get mail . . . )
Hello. How do i go back to the old look of outlook. Option for New look is not showing in my outlook now. It was there on the top right corner before, however its missing now. I'm experiencing an issue where the new preview version of Outlook for Windows isn't showing up in the notifications Center list on Windows 10, making it impossible to activate its notifications. Additionally, it's not appearing in the Startup list within Task Manager on Windows 10.

The old outlook had a total unread or email count of a folder in the bottom left, it isn't there in the new one, does anyone know if we can get that back?
New Oulook lost or hid my old calendars and archived folders. Can't figure out how to import/transfer these in to the New version. You mentioned being able to switch back to the Old Outlook but you didn't say how! I wish folks would follow the simple rule of never saying what a thing can do without saying how to do it.
My old Outlook email distribution lists did not migrate to the new Outlook; big mess! Had to re-create; huge time waster! Can't find a way to make new Outlook email distribution lists.

I like to drag an email over the calendar and drop to allocate time to the task. Can't do it! Have to arrange a meeting which is super-clunky. Hoping MS will reintroduce the ability to quickly drop an email on the calendar to create a meeting - whether that's a real meeting or just blocking out time for a task.

I definitely want to just drag and drop an email on the calendar to block out time (I have two monitors - email on the left, calendar on the right). The MS to-do list app is utter garbage IMHO: firstly it has nowhere to enter an estimate of time required to complete each task, and second, it has no sensible integration with the calendar. It's therefore just a list of vague demands on our time - more stress and "noise", if you will. It's not a to-do list that helps anyone get stuff done. It feels to me as though the attempts to harmonise the web and desktop versions of Outlook have resulted in the desktop version being hobbled by the limitations of web interfaces. Hopefully MS will make some genuine progress in this area. So far, it's a hot mess! 🤭

I like to collapse all groups/names, this isn't available in this version. Also Quick Steps is limited and my existing ones in outlook 365 aren't available in this new version.
Many has expressed missing the collapsed functionality. I don't know if it is on the roadmap to rollover to New Outlook. I recommend that you give MS the feedback to influence change. Creating an email message template or using Quick Parts is not available in new and web versions of Outlook. And, I am unsure of MS plans. However, you can use the MyTemplates feature as long as the file size is 32 KB.

Noticed several disadvantages in the New version - 1. Not able to import PST Back up files. Seems this feature does not exist. 2. Display in incoming mails not showing ...From - Subject - Date - Size .....these are quite basic features missing - these are important to track email easily. 3. Thanks for sharing your experience. 1 - The use of PST Files are coming. 2 - I am not sure why From Subject Received columns are not visible to you. For the Size column, you must select filter than sort. This groups the emails based on size. It does not show the size per item. I am unaware of MS plans for this functionality. 3. This app is not even ready for production. But Micro-software (meaning small ineffective software) gets released and there is a forced shutdown of "WINDOWS LIVE MAIL" accounts. Way to go Micro you get smaller and smaller with each release of your software
Had to reload MSN email today for a vendor. NOW...cannot find folders...cannot sort email through folders...cannot access folders in their INFO system. STAY AWAY from MSN/Outlook Email! Absent any clear way to manage emails, I am FINALLY ready to get out of their email system.
So odd I’m not getting the option to go to the new outlook, although half the people I work with are. Yet I’m offered the new Teams, which no one else is 😂
FINALLY, someone likes the change. I totally agree with you. Once MS adds the critical missing features, it will be better. I think more users will accept this change. I have been using OWA for a while now but still miss the Quick Parts. 😀

@@traccreations4e We shouldn't have to struggle. I've been using Outlook since it first came out, and I'm so disappointed with this one. I had to do a Windows reset today, and when I reinstalled Office 2021, I ended up with the new outlook. I don't have any tabs whatsoever, it just barren of anything good, tbh,. It won't recognise my main non-outlook email address (my primary one) anymore,& won't take the backup that I made sure to do before resetting. Worst (unwanted) upgrade of Outlook ever. This urge for major developers to streamline software don't take into account the older generations out there. I'm hoping i can find a way to rescue my locked up files without having to pay a hefty price.

I don't know if MS plans to roll over this feature later. Here is a great opportunity to give MS Feedback while New Outlook is in the Beta Stage.

Put folders are not available yet. It's coming but a date has not been set. You can easily switch between classic and new

The new outlook button should be at top right. Please shutdown the computer and reopen outlook.

Spell check is automatically. Spelled words show up with a red underline.

I use Outlook to view and manage my AOL email. When I click on the new Outlook, it did not recognized my IMAP or POP settings.

In the top right corner, you will see the New Outlook toggle. Click on the toggle button to revert to Classic Outlook.

Microsoft has not enabled the offline functionality yet. It is on the list to be available. They have not provided a date yet.

You can drag an email to the calendar. Click on My Day from the top menu | select To Do Tab | drag the email to the Event section.

In New Outlook, you can export contacts but you can not export emails.

@@traccreations4e We shouldn't have to struggle. I've been using Outlook since it first came out, and I'm so disappointed with this one. I had to do a Windows reset today, and when I reinstalled Office 2021, I ended up with the new outlook. I don't have any tabs whatsoever, it just barren of anything good, tbh,. It won't recognise my main non-outlook email address (my primary one) anymore,& won't take the backup that I made sure to do before resetting. Worst (unwanted) upgrade of Outlook ever. This urge for major developers to streamline software don't take into account the older generations out there. I'm hoping i can find a way to rescue my locked up files without having to pay a hefty price.
