Been to Vancouver for five days, fell in love to the city and British Columbia immediately. Love the beautiful natural sceneries and the clean cityscape. I’m from Toronto and though I think Vancouver has a lot of things are similar to here, the tension of people’s daily life is much slower. I’ll definitely return to Vancouver when it comes to the winter!
Your way of storytelling is so well paced, vividly scripted.. almost like watching a NatGeo documentary… became your instant fan and subscribed .. respect from Mississauga, ON … look forward to seeing more ❤
I'm visiting Vancouver at the end of September for a concert. I booked the trip in February and have been scouring TH-cam weekly for a video just like this! Besides the fact that I'm staying for 5 days instead of 3, this checks off all the other conditions listed in your assumptions at the beginning of the video. I can't thank you enough for sharing this!
Daphne! My wife and I are visiting Vancouver from Phoenix this week for our anniversary. We came across your vids and found them so lovely. Thank you for the helpful tips and for making such great content. ❤❤❤
What a lovely and informative video. I have been low-key wishing for you to put out something like this as I would love to visit Vancouver. I followed your Montreal itinerary almost to a tee this summer and had an amazing time. Thank you for your travel videos - they are one of the best on YT! 😊
I love the day 2 plan and will def add it to my future itinerary! Granville, Chinese-Canadian Museum and Tacos? RIght up my alley! Thanks for making this video, love the editing. Sending love from Edmonton
If you have a day to spare (and a car), I suggest packing a lunch and go nature exploring. Start at the Lynn Canyon Bridge (a free suspension bridge), then drive to Cleveland Dam. At the dam, walk down to salmon hatchery. If the timing is right, then you can even see the salmon spawn. If you're feeling energetic, the Grouse Grind is not far away. After that, drive on to Horseshoe Bay and explore a bit. The scenery is gorgeous. Then head north to Porteau Cove for more views. Shannon Falls is next and if Grouse Grind wasn't enough, you can hike up the Chief. (about 3+ hours). Finally, drive up to Tantalus lookout, then turn around and drive back to Vancouver. Try to time it so you can make it to the Quercus point in Murrin Provincial Park in time for sunset. The hike up there is pretty easy, takes about 30 minutes. So if sunset is 7, get started on the hike at 6pm. IMO, best sunset ever. Bring a flashlight because it'll be dark going down.
I really enjoyed this video!! I’m looking forward to a trip to Vancouver this December. Vancouver was a favorite city of mine but after moving away from Seattle around 2009 I haven’t visited. Looking forward to a few days stay and this so far as been the best Vancouver “tourist” video I’ve come across. Thank you!
I found you on my FYP this morning. I watched your storm-watching video in Tofino, and it was epic. Thanks for sharing what Van has to offer with the world.
Fantastic video, as a fellow local I fully agree with your itinerary, and even discovered a few new tips as well! Will definitely be passing this video forward to friends that swing by for a visit :)
Hello! Thanks to you and your blog, I am now convinced on visiting Vancouver as a stop this November before I finally go to the US. This will be my first time in Canada. With that, may I ask for other places you will recommend if I stay for 7 days (e.g., Vancouver Island?) And if you have tips for traveling during this time? Looking forward to your reply and more power to you and your channel. :)
Personally in Steveston I fully recommend visiting Nikaido to pick up some Cream of Earl Grey tea leaves, browsing the Richmond Hospital Healthcare Auxiliary Thrift Shop if you enjoy looking for cheap secondhand souvenirs, walking the Steveston Boardwalk and Fisherman's Wharf, and perhaps either taking a whale-watching tour or taking a leisurely walk to the Britannia Shipyards (open-air museum with several buildings) :)
Hi, Daphne! I'll be in the city in early October but won't stay long so I have to choose between visiting Squamish (Sea To The Sky) or Grouse Mountain (wouldn't be doing the hike, though. Only gondola and activities on the top). Which one you recommend? Thank you :).
I followed your itinerary a bit while I was in Montreal over the weekend - had a wonderful time! Now after watching this video (and your Tofino trip), I'm inspired and am looking for flights to Vancouver for 2024. How many days would you recommend at a minimum to do both locations?
That’s great to hear! For Vancouver and Tofino, I would personally recommend at least 2 nights in each location. You could potentially make Tofino a one-night trip but I feel that if you’ve made it all the way out there, may as well take a bit more time to soak it all in (especially in the summer, there’s more to do)! :)
Hi Daphne. Greetings from Montreal !! I loved this "Foodie / Tourist" video. How is it living out there, cost wise? I know we just signed our new lease and we are very close to paying $1000.00 for our 1 br apt in Downtown West. Every year now we can expect a $30.00 per year raise. Is it difficult to find a place that won't break the bank, and can you afford to live in the city, seeing that Vancouver is one of the most expensive cities in Canada ?? it is a really pretty city.
Hi, thanks for watching! It’s honestly so expensive to live here 😞 1br rentals in the city are probably well over $2k (not just downtown, this is a lot of the lower mainland too). I don’t want to deter people from our beautiful city but I also know that it’s quite difficult cost-wise for a lot of people who decide to move here, so it’s something you have to prepare for.
Sorry to say Jeremy, but those costs of livings and annual increases you mentioned are laughable. Average rental prices for a 1 bedroom apartment in city centre in the following cities is listed as: Vancouver $2,729 Toronto $2,565 Victoria $2,141 Ottawa $1,850 Calgary $1,745 Halifax $1,818 Montreal $1,613 The fact you are paying $1000 is kinda insane. And $30 per yer increase is only 3%, when the current national average increase is 12%. Enjoy the golden ticket you are sitting on!
Great video for future visitors. I’m a Vancouverite living abroad and this video is a great cure for my homesickness. Thank you.
Aw, thank you!

Yes, hoping to do 5-7 nights since we don't make it out to BC much at all. Thank you very much. @@DaphneXplores

Good information. Where did you stay for 3 nights?
This is a sample as I live here
As a home sick Canadian living abroad thanks.
