I got a 91 I'm v8 swapping this spring.. I got a 5.3 and some ls vette heads in the garage, 4l80e and a dana 60 I'm having cut to width and converted to 5x4.75 with moser axles

Quick tip, spray can bed liner sux. Shoot it with regular black paint or black primer first. Then spray the bed liner paint. You dont need to be as thick and hold the can further back and it will give that cool texture.

You might have to drill relocation holes in the firewall for the steering column and roll the body seam on the transmission tunnel. I did this project 20 years ago on my 82 s10, 350 SBC 4 bolt with 700r4
S10'S ARE LIFE!!!!
I had a 283 in my old s10 and it kicked ass.i wood cut the hump out of the floor pan makes it a lot easier for the transmission bolts and for the headers to hook up.
Fix those holes brother so that water doesn't come up from underneath and getting them holes and mess up everything you just did so this is the first video I watched of years but I'm really getting into this cuz I'm fixing to do the exact same thing with my son I was going to do a ranger because I have one but I'm going to do an S10 I think it's a going to be a lot easier keep them coming brother but fix them holes LOL

You should’ve did the sanding by hand! Yeah it takes up more time but in the end you’ll appreciate the work you did a lot more then by using electric tools
I sure hope you plan on plugging those holes especially if it goes into the interior unless you don’t plan on driving the truck in the rain rainwater sitting inside on your carpet‘s will eventually start to smell like mold well well actually cause mold

Okay so if anyone can answer my question that would be great! Okay so I've got a 2002 gmc sonoma, which I'm pretty damn sure is the same thing as an s10 anyway. Shes in great condition, but I was wondering what v8 engines I could fit in it, and if I would have to change the transmission and maybe other parts too if I were to do a swap? Thanks!
Also, it's a 4WD 4.3L v6 vortec, automatic
@@raggeac.w.harvey6434 If you have the 4L60 it should bolt right up but doesn't hold up well stock to higher horsepower. For that truck I'd look into a 5.3 or 4.8. that would be plenty of power and mpg's might stay the same. Motor mounts readily available for that swap and you may or may not have to switch to electric fans just to give you more room up front. gotta remember you're adding 2 more pistons! ;) I'm not sure if stock fuel pump is enough or not. and I'm assuming your truck is drive by cable, so keep that in mind when looking at engines, unless you want to convert to drive by wire. Your best shot is get a complete pull out. ECU, wire harness, and all accessories. Send ECU to someone to delete VATS and tune it. Hope fully this gives an idea what to look for and research on.
An L.S. motor is the shit but if your on a budget an old school small block Chevy goes in a lot easier and cheaper .. and it doesnt take much to give it a lot of snap as well even a stock 305 or 350 will be plenty for an s10 and all will hold up better and be a much cheaper swap
