Skyrim modding's personal George RR Martin lol. Not a slight, I adore Vigilant and Unslaad as my favorite quest mods (and love ASOIAF). Glenmoril was developed alongside the other two and an an alpha was available nearly a decade ago - I wonder why this is his most difficult project to wrap up.
The mod is out, and it's pretty awesome. I think that when compared to other VICN mods, this one's lore is far more easier to understand. It's relatively short, but very enjoyable experience.

Like a lot of people here I am super stoked but I also wish we could get a finished Glenmoril. I've been putting it and Unslaad on hold while I play through beyond reach. If anyone had any advice on whether I should just play them or not, I would really appreciate it.

Very excited for this. On an aside, I was wondering if you have a modlist you'd recommend as a base for playing the Vicn mods? Have a decent laptop, and I'm looking to build a modlist to play the major quest mods: Vicn quadrilogy, Beyond Reach, Wheels of Lull, etc. Do you have a modlist you'd recommend for these quest mods, or have you built your own from scratch?
When play mods by myself I just insert anything I feel like playing at the time until I end up with a mod soup that I feel like messing with :). That being said I you should try out Realistic Lighting Overhaul SSE as it makes things look way better on lower brightness and some of TK's mods like skyrim tk dodge to make the combat a bit more immersive. I hope this helps and have fun!
I just wish it didn't have all the Dark Souls like items and outfits. The story is mind blindingly good, but the Souls like aesthetic really kills the mood for me. Especially if the NPC's are wandering around in Skyrim amongst the other "normal" looking NPC's.
I didn’t know that Vicn held off on finishing Glenmoril because of Ithelia and the Shadow Over Morrowind DLCs. That’s sad, and I will never forgive Zenimax for wasting all of our time with Ithelia. Her story made no sense to me, as did the rest of the Shadow Over Morrowind story. First, you have Mora claiming that Nirn will be destroyed if Apocrypha is damaged or destroyed. Granted, it is very likely he is lying to you, as Apocrypha later becomes damaged so badly that Mora is cut off from it and Daedra there go insane, and when you flee back to Nirn to regroup, Nirn seems fine. Not only that, but Mora claims that remembering the secret he locked away will itself cause reality to die, and when that does happen and Nirn is still fine, you question him and he basically says that he told you what you needed to know to become effective, which confirms to me he was talking shit. That being said, as far as lies go, this one was dead on arrival and makes Mora look like a brainless tosser. Because if the destruction of Nirn or Apocrypha would destroy the other realm, why didn’t Mora help stop Molag Bal’s Planemeld? If the destruction of Nirn would also destroy Apocrypha, why didn’t he do anything? Unless of course it’s a lie. Then we get to Ithelia. WOW. I have never seen a character contradict the lore this badly. First of all Ithelia, Prince of Droopy Eyes, Daedra are literally stated by Sheogorath in the Shivering Isles DLC to be the embodiment of change and permanency, so her stating that Daedra are incapable of change makes no sense to me. Second of all, I don’t understand why she says she can’t change, even though she is literally a former Magne-Ge who changed into a Daedra. Lady, if you were to look in the Tamrielic Dictionary for the word change, it would just show a picture of you and your species where the definition is. It’s a shame that ESO lord has gotten to this point. When I played it’s main campaign, I didn’t like the gameplay, but I really liked the story. It is legitimately good. Not as good as the main games, but it definitely holds its own. Sadly they keep constantly changing writers without giving them time to study the lore, leading to them no only contradicting the original games, but even their own lore. Personally, I’m just gonna choose what I consider to be canon. If it fits in well and doesn’t contradict the lore too much, I’m not gonna count it. Especially considering the fact that the writers tend to contradict their own statements on what is official canon. It’s weird how each writer and developer has their own opinion on the subject. Same their is a definitive canon, while others say their is no official canon. Personally, I only consider the main campaign of ESO canon to me. Everything else I’ve seen so far is a wash. If you guys disagree, that’s fine. I have nothing against people who like the DLCs. It’s just that I personally don’t like most of the content and writing for them. Although I will say I really liked how they handled Sotha Sil. I just wish Nocturnal was done Justice, and not portrayed as a generic villain who craves power, even though in Skyrim she was a neutral character who didn’t care for worship and preferred secrecy over all else. Well, sorry for this long comment. I’ve just been exhausted by this whole ordeal with ESO DLCs. I wouldn’t mind them if the writers at least accepted when they got things wrong and tried to correct it. But all they do is firmly state its canon without any regard for pre-existing lore, and then piling more and more until it destroys itself. Oh well, maybe someday things will hopefully change. But as it stands, ESO’s full story is a mess.
Personnaly i consider the main story of Eso to be canon but after that nothing else. Not that a consider every Dlc of the game to be bad, some are good but in general i consider that in every tes games, the main story is canon but the side are not. (The dlc of the main games are not included, they are canon) Because if everything in the dlc are canon the vestige become the most powerful hero in existence. We defeat so many different thing that in the end we are close to be a god^^ maybe in the end of the mmo we are Talos (I hope not this will not make any sense)

1. Yes thats the order. 2. Glenmoril isn't finished, unslaad basically is. I would recommend you play them ONLY if you are willing to forfeit the concept of understanding the plot completely. There are a lot of {painful} details we don't know the answers to yet and Vicn is open to making changes. Hope this help!

@@cotho. thanks. Not my pool to swim, at least 3 of them I tried and wasnt impressed. But I've started Vigilant and on witch quest (from the starting line) I see its potential. I found 3 variants of completing this quest and I cannot say what is right Did they knew about corpses around witchs shack? Did they take part in killing? Is it better to stop (one traitor) sooner? When did he changed: with artefact or without? Why did she ignored my mercy and came to die certain death? And moment when I killed her (something happened), and I was transported in Cold Harbor. In Act 1! What? Its so deep comparing to so many mods

You wanna know the really weird part about Ithelia? She doesn’t even have the power to break reality. Towards the end of the DLC, just before she’s about to be banished to a universe with no magic (Which breaks the lore in ways I can’t even begin to lost), Leramil asks Ithelia if there is anything that can be done for her friend who was lost to the reality tears that popped up after she became the Last Tomorrow. Ithelia responds “the tears were not my creation, only an effect of my passing.” WTF? So all this time she wasn’t even the one crating those damn things? It was just something else that spawned them in as she walked by? This makes no sense to me. And to add insult to injury, I really hate how Mora is portrayed in Gold Road. He went from one of the most intelligent beings in the Universe to an idiot who nearly destroyed reality in an attempt to save it from something that might happen. And sure enough Ithelia only becomes the Last Tomorrow after you destroy the Loom of the Untraveled Road. So in other words if you and Mora just left her alone, nothing bad would have happened. She just wanted to rebuild her home and change the part of history where Mora, Azura, Boethiah, and Mephala went into conflict with her. I mean the Gray Fox literally used an Elder Scroll to rewrite history so that the curse of the Gray Cowl would be lifted. If he can do that and not be labeled as a villain for it, why can’t Ithelia? I may hate her character and how she breaks the lore, but the way the other characters are portrayed makes them look like mindless hypocrites. The sad thing is this could have worked if maybe Mora was called out for his stupidity. But no, Ithelia is apparently the one truly at fault and banished to another universe. You and Mora literally caused the problem and get no well deserved punishment for it. Unbelievable.
Why not though? Vicn is practically a celebrity in the Skyrim modding scene since the LE day's and their mods have only grown in greater popularity towards the SE/AE transition, despite the initial language barrier the original trilogy of mods (Glenmoril, Vigilant and Unslaad) had upon release. The only unusual thing here is that said mod author decided to release a seemingly equally massive sized mod, fully complete it appears, before finishing one of their older, prominent and long anticipated projects (i.e Glenmoril.)
personally im little a conflicted as a rule i try to avoid anything mk that wasent morrowind or stuff mk did as contract work for bethesdia. but at the sametime this mod i want to see the frickin namidiem
Vicn's mods are very well optimized (except for Quagmire in Glenmoril but that mod isn't quite finished yet) so your pc will be fine. If it can run the base game it can run Vicn's mods.
VICN will do anything to avoid finishing Glenmoril, even create another giant quest mod.

Vicn already put a C0DA reference inside Glenmoril, never could've known it would foreshadow this though. However I do wish he would finish Glenmoril.

It was just something else that spawned them in as she walked by? This makes no sense to me. And to add insult to injury, I really hate how Mora is portrayed in Gold Road. He went from one of the most intelligent beings in the Universe to an idiot who nearly destroyed reality in an attempt to save it from something that might happen. And sure enough Ithelia only becomes the Last Tomorrow after you destroy the Loom of the Untraveled Road. So in other words if you and Mora just left her alone, nothing bad would have happened. She just wanted to rebuild her home and change the part of history where Mora, Azura, Boethiah, and Mephala went into conflict with her. I mean the Gray Fox literally used an Elder Scroll to rewrite history so that the curse of the Gray Cowl would be lifted. If he can do that and not be labeled as a villain for it, why can’t Ithelia? I may hate her character and how she breaks the lore, but the way the other characters are portrayed makes them look like mindless hypocrites. The sad thing is this could have worked if maybe Mora was called out for his stupidity. But no, Ithelia is apparently the one truly at fault and banished to another universe. You and Mora literally caused the problem and get no well deserved punishment for it. Unbelievable.

Why not though? Vicn is practically a celebrity in the Skyrim modding scene since the LE day's and their mods have only grown in greater popularity towards the SE/AE transition, despite the initial language barrier the original trilogy of mods (Glenmoril, Vigilant and Unslaad) had upon release.
The only unusual thing here is that said mod author decided to release a seemingly equally massive sized mod, fully complete it appears, before finishing one of their older, prominent and long anticipated projects (i.e Glenmoril.)
personally im little a conflicted as a rule i try to avoid anything mk that wasent morrowind or stuff mk did as contract work for bethesdia. but at the sametime this mod i want to see the frickin namidiem

Vicn's mods are very well optimized (except for Quagmire in Glenmoril but that mod isn't quite finished yet) so your pc will be fine. If it can run the base game it can run Vicn's mods.
