that c clip does a pretty good job of making it hard to get in and out. for anyone trying this, the benz installation manual says c clip needs to be facing down.

4matic is Mecedes word for 4 wheel drive. They all have that. You are referring to air shocks or air springs. Nope did not have them. And if you did I would think you do not need to worry about them. the axle will come out regardless if you jack it up.

Does your ML have 4matic and how did you deflate it when changing the axle?

So would it be better to just buy a new drive shaft all together when the center bearings wear out? I have a ML320

any update on how the aftermarket cv axle is holding up?
Wed Feb 27 2019. About 5000 miles on replacement CV axles. No issues.
I sold the truck December 15th 2021 for only $2,900. This axle was doing fine at around +15,000 more miles added in a year and a half.
