I like the fact that you photoshop how it should be and compare it to what we are getting, you calling out the flaws and the good stuff about it is what makes these reviews 💯
This Spidey is from one What if? Comic that was fairly specific. Comics are like everything. Unless you work in it or live and breathe it, you'll never know everything and that's ok. Love your reviews man.
@@THANATOS-PRIME Spider-Shot reminds me of the Spider-Man from Segas Revenge of Shinobi game and the funny thing about it is when he is beat he then turns into Batman.
he's supposed to be shooting out of his wrists i think, but i guess they couldn't be assed to give us bigger muzzle flashes so they just made them peg into his thumbs so the blast effects are still visible behind his outstretched fingers lmao
Spider shot is one of the coolest versions of Peter. In an alternate universe, Spider-Man accidentally kills someone on a mission with Wolverine. After the mission goes wrong Wolverine convinces Peter to stop holding back, and with a few years of new training Spider-Man becomes a shield agent who kills🔥
As a fan of marvel, yeah I really Like the deep cut characters and what if versions. I doubt we’ll get these type of characters in other lines so it’s nice to be able to have a figure of them.
You'll probably won't see this but might has well explain who spider shot is because I really like this version, honestly one of the op versions of spidey. Now this hero...name I guess is actually assassin spider(don't know why they called him spider shot) but basically his story is this spider verse stories. His story his based off a wolverine and spider man one shot, where in 616, pete and logan fight, pete accidentally kills a girl logan likes(but she wanted to die), pete feels guilty, logan talks to him and offers him to join him in a misson, now in the original, spidey leaves but in this what if universe, he actually tags along with logan and during a mission, they go into a battle and accidentally kills another person and yes he feels guilty..again, however this changes him alot. After the mission, he heads with logan and becomes a new shield agent, leaving his old life(and mj) and becomes a anti hero, teaming up with wolverine and black widow. Honestly tho, it seemed like he had a better life. One thing that's awesome about him(besides his web shooter guns) is that able to somewhat see the future, able to dodge and know whats gonna happen before it happens. Then in the spider verse comics....he gets killed off. Honestly he's a cool version of spider man, got this figure myself and gotta say, he's awsome!
I know I'm not Anthony, but I saw your comment, if that's any consolation lol. I really liked this version of Spider-Man too. I don't think they called him Assassin Spider because these are sort of for kids. Too bad this figure is ass though
I agree with you. I like this figure, too. I don't buy any figure based on Anthony's reviews. I use them to see the pluses and minuses of a figure. At the end of the day, I buy what I like. I like the Spider-shot character so I bought the figure.
Question of the day: I absolutely wanted this version, I can’t tell if they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel or just reaching into a hat full of spiderverse suggestions and making a figure of that. They fumbled the hell out of it. I like the gun fingers at least. He’s basically got the same powers as your typical Spider-Man. He has no issue killing, trained to the point that his spider sense is better. He left his old life behind after an event that messed him up in favor of learning to be a killer from Wolverine and some girl that looks like Gwen Stacy. He doesn’t quip and only a small handful of appearances. Always thought it was Assassin Spider-Man or Spider Assassin. Not sure when they decided to call him “Spider Shot” but I’m not a fan of that goofy alliteration. I don’t know how to fix the legs but I imagine we have a plethora of better fit black legs out there to swap these with somehow lol. Why they didn’t just reuse the mold for the recent spiders, add a belt, slap on their paintjob and new hands and call it a day is beyond me.
I actually learned about a lot of the different Spider-Men from the mobile runner game Spider-Man Unlimited. That game had so many different Spider-Men you could unlock, and with a bio for each one. But yeah I actually like this version of Spider-Man. Just because its not the usual friendly neighborhood guy we're used to.
I got this. I liked the head sculp best. The hips… I ignored that detail. I really liked the simple black and red look, and the head sculp really caught my eye. Good to see it being reviewed.
I thought about using the Spider-Man for fodder, but the only thing useful are his hands and his head sculpt. Maybe I got a spare Snake eyes bodies lying around, or one of those SEAL team Joes. That might make for better experimentation in enhancement custom with this character.
Hand is ok, cause with the classic web shooting pose he shoots webs, and with the other he shoot bullets (with the same web shooter). This Spidey becomes a secret agent and he was trained by Wolverine, it's a deep cut.
finally the spider shat review! I love deep cuts and would like to have this character as a figure if it was good. The most annoying thing about this figure is that a bunch of people saw this before it came out and they didn't fix it. Its sad how little they care.
As an avid Spidey fan, I enjoy collecting all the alternative versions of him, especially since you can have them all together on the shelf for a spider-verse inspired display. I didn’t buy this figure (or most other hasbro spider-men) because he looks so strangely proportioned
This Spier-Man is an alternate Peter Parker who left everything behind and ends up becoming a mercenary with Wolverine, he can shoot bullets out of his webshooters that’s what those little blasts are meant to be. I saw him at target and was gonna pick him up cause I like his design but his body is just way too goofy I don’t understand why they can’t just do things at least a little bit right, they’d definitely sell way more
As a comic reader, I don't care much for Alternative dimension characters. I like ones like Mayday as Spider-Girl or an older alternate Batman. You know, things along those lines. But stuff like this is something I don't care for. I'll read something that has these characters if they happen to be tied into the main story. Otherwise I will very rarely go out of my way for them. That said, if you review these characters, I like watching to see if we get a dope figure or a flop. Thanks for the reviews!
I just wish we had someone else doing Marvel figures. I enjoy having 90s X-Men figures.. before they went to shit.. (the comics) and as much as Mafex looks fantastic I can’t constantly buy Mafex figures lol. I’m glad Marvel Select is stepping up but just don’t really have the room for their scale. So unless you can spend 100+ on Mafex (or other import companies…) all you have is Hasbro. I’m gonna try to get into Marvel Select but their X-Men outside of Iceman and Colossus look… meeeeehhh. Sort of blows my mind that this figure is in the same wave as the Scarlet Spider.. who looks really damn good.
I was a comic reader back in the day ( mid 80's too late 90's ) and to be honest, I found it strange that so many Spider-Guys exist now, it gets boring when there are so many characters that have the same abilities. So yeah, I don't care for so many Spider-Men.
The multiverse can be fun, but they go to that well too often now. The Clone Saga was worse, but they need to dial it back with making Spider-People Marvel’s Green Lantern Corps
I will probably get this figure on clearance just to switch the legs from the thigh cut and below with my black suit spider-man from a few years ago to have the pin less look on that suit. They did something to the top of the legs that made that awful gap.
As we say in Yorkshire, that lad would never stop a pig in a ginnel (narrow passageway).😳 I used to read comics from being a little lad through to my mid 20's. Then I just picked up the occasional graphic novel. Usually reprints of old classic stories. So I'm clueless about this guy. That wouldn't matter if the figure was good, but they ballsed it up. So it's a thanks but no thanks from me. I'd like to know who looked at this and said yep go ahead.😳
I like a cool looking Spider-man variant. I don't need to know who they are. And even the characters I do know have changed so much since I read comics, it hardly matters
This is an important spiderverse character (comic spiderverse) he leads one of the groups as a version of spiderman that kills and is an assassin spiderman
I ended up returning mine. I like the character design and idea but the gap just killed it for and me. Especially with me being selective now. I don’t care about having every Spider costume at this point since it’s becoming a drop of water in the ocean.
The multiverse Soideys are too numerous to keep track of. The alternates often do get some great designs, which is fun, but keeping track of all their stores is beyond challenging
its an alternate Spider-Man/ Peter Parker who became a killer assassin. I passed on him. Kane Parker ( who used to be a defective Peter clone. But his defects have been removed since Spider-island. Kane acted as Scarlet Spider with a suit similar but looked more reversed from this one. making his eyes red. Under Spidershots mask as I said is Peter Parker from another universe. LOL Boy when Superior Spiderman comes out thats a confusing one. It's Doctor Octopus in Peter's body cause their minds got swapped. Actually, that was easy. So it's not an alternate Spider-Man. It's a Freaky Friday Spider-man. LOL, so many damn spider-men. Many of them are peter....and some are not. Why even Nightcrawler became a spider-man in a recent mini-series that was terrible.
I like these deepcut alternate reality Spider-characters. But if the figure sucks, which is usually the case with a majority of Hasbro's Spiderverse characters, I'm not interested. If I ever want an Assassin Spider-Man (his actual name), I'll just make a custom to my liking.
Q of the Day: I rarely read contemporary comics, and I’m not really into alternate universes and timelines, so I don’t care about these Spider-Man variants personally. They’re probably good for sales, though. This looks like a Chinese bootleg to me. I think if you exchanged the “o” in “Spider-Shot” for an “i”, the name would be a little more accurate.

I like Spider-Man enough that if they release a good figure of a costume I don’t know then I might grab it but this is Spider-Sh*t. No excuse for the choices they made here, the hips, the Dwight neck and I honestly hate the reverse ab crap.
I agree with the fact that the thigh gap sucks but I still do think he looks cool especially with those finger guns and I might try to get him because he was part of the Spider- verse in the comics, Overall, Great review on him Anthony.
I think there is something wrong with the crotch pegs and the holes on his thighs. As if the pegs don't go in deep enough therefore the legs stick out too much. By the way Anthony you should make a couple of videos explaining some of the basics of action figure design/engineering. It will help alot of people understand some of your criticism regarding bad design aka most marvel legends & all of Mc Farlands.

I like Spiderman and I've read some comics but I mainly stick with the old classics. I've no idea who this is; I clicked on it because he looks ridiculous and it could potentially be a funny review.
I have a female wrestling fig with a huge thigh gap like that and to compensate I put her on the undertakers shoulders. I have them standing around the guitar players like they are at a music festival

Just one look at this product in a standing pose gives me all the evidence I need to affirm that they don't care. This product must be aimed at those collectors of the Spider-lore and not for children wanting a toy. That said, Hasbro really disrespected those collectors with this one. Great review.
I read a lot of comics and especially mainline Spider-Man and a good deal of alt Spider-Men stories and this one i never heard of. It seems like peek edge to me, "Spidey but guns" basically. Pretty lame, surely Snyder fans would love a movie adaption. There are so many costumes and versions people want that this pull seems braindead to me. The fact that they spent no time on it tells me all i need to know, at least it's an easy skip this time. Getting easier by the day now to not want any ML figures.
This is the RYV mold tho Normal Sunfire mold doesn't have the drop-down legs. It looks like they made pinless arms and legs of the Sunfire mold and then put them on the RYV torso. I could be wrong since I refused to buy this guy lol
@@nhyar This is the retro Spidey mold. The RYV mold has the toe hinges, no gap, and I'm not sure about this one, but I believe the shoulders are bigger.
0:55 imo justin, i love spiderman and i don’t read comics, if i think the fig looks cool and (knowing hasbro) has pairs of hands, ill buy it, that’s about it when it comes to my criteria lol
After accidentally killing a woman, Peter became an assassin and shoots bullets out of his webshooters. This guy's actually name is assassin spider-man.0
I am familiar with this version of Spider-Man, who is trained by Wolverine and Black Widow to become an assassin. That said, I find the figure rather unsettling and ridiculous. I dislike how bulbous the arm muscles are and the ugly hips.

I assumed the wide thigh gap was so the figure could do the splits better. I was wrong.
That is an alternate dimension Spiderman, that became an assassin after a tragedy, and he has guns in his web shooters.
Also was trained so hone is spidey-sense to the next level. The story is pretty much, what if spider-man was trained as an assassin?
Is it weird? I want to see this guy fight the Grim Knight from the Batman comics?

It seems like peek edge to me, "Spidey but guns" basically. Pretty lame, surely Snyder fans would love a movie adaption.
There are so many costumes and versions people want that this pull seems braindead to me. The fact that they spent no time on it tells me all i need to know, at least it's an easy skip this time. Getting easier by the day now to not want any ML figures.
I'd buy a Spider Shot if Mafex made one. lol
I never seen him before...
Please review Storms Yujiro figure
I knew it was going to be a bad figure because the hips told me and dem hips don't lie. 😂
Them using this mold is so lame. Wasn't the ryv mopd supposed to be the upgrade to this one? 😂
This is the RYV mold tho
Normal Sunfire mold doesn't have the drop-down legs.
QC department was laid off at the factory, I guess. Unbelievable.
