Hey hey, I really liked the video, I am in high school and I am looking into University’s that would be good for me. I wanted to ask about the diversity in the school, I am African and I am kind of worried that I won’t have people to relate with because I would be quite far from home. And I wanted to ask if the atmosphere is good for Christians, I know not everyone there is Christian but is it a safe and productive place for Christians? That’s all, thank you x
Hey Tana, thanks for getting in touch. I would say the diversity is not high in terms of the UK. However there are a lot of internationals that are diverse. Being from London myself, it was an adjustment I would say I had to make. In terms of the atmosphere for Christians, I think we have a great community. There are lots of great churches and the CU is active too. All the best with your decision. Email me if you want to discuss further:)
Hi! I was just wondering if there were any other forms of accommodation other than Robertsons Close. Edinburgh is where I'm going for university and I'm curious if there are any other places to stay. :) Also thank you for this video. It has helped answer most of my questions!
Hey Holly, yes there are lots of other accommodations. Have a look at this link www.accom.ed.ac.uk/for-students/search-for-accommodation/search-results/?StudentType=2&Catering=Any&RoomType=Any. All the best with finding your accommodation and for your time in Edinburgh! I hope you still get to have a great experience in spite of everything :)
Hi Ria, I really liked you're video! I was searching for people studying at the University of Edinburgh, because I want to go there in september for a semester. Do you have any tips for me? Have a blessed day🙏
Hey so the university does a lot of church crawls and Christian Union events in Freshers Week which is super useful. I had also asked at my home church for recommendations in Edinburgh too, and came to my own decision once I arrived as I got to attend and experience them. Great question x
Hey! I love Edinburgh but have been put off firming it due to recent events concerning racism. I'm the same skin tone as you and was just wondering if you have experienced any racism at the uni. Also do many people take a year abroad/placement year? That's something I really want to do and I'm deciding between Edinburgh and Bath, as 60% of people at Bath do a placement year/year abroad. I don't want to go abroad and have to leave all my friends who will. be continuing in to the next year. Love your videos by the way :))
Hi Abbie, I can understand your concerns. I personally have not experienced any racism at the university. I would only say that coming from extremely diverse London to Edinburgh, it was somewhat odd to see a lack of people of colour. There is a great diversity of international students, but I am talking about the national ones. Overall, Edinburgh is a great place to study, but could feel very far from what I was personally used to at times. I hope you manage to make a good decision!
hey! ive applied for edin this year, but ive heard that the student support is really bad, just wondering if you feel the same way and why do people say that? xx
I think it is decent. But they don't bend over backwards for you . You have to figure out the support you need and then ask for it. Once you ask for it, you don't always get it 100% how you need it.
Well I mean, you only live once I guess so I can see how budgeting went out the window. :,D Always continue to live with your parents through college, that part time job will be your save up for University life.
Hi, your video was really helpful ❤️ I wanted to ask what kind of job were you able to find in Edi? Was it really difficult? I am planning on doing the same when I go there, so it would be great to know :))
Hey, I worked at a jewellery store and it was really simple to get a job. Edinburgh is a big city in Scotland so there are usually always places hiring. Hope that helps!
Hey Moonzarin, I'd say Edinburgh Uni is definitely regarded highly in Scotland for sure. As for the UK in general, it is a Russell Group University, so I believed it is well respected, but I am yet to graduate. More importantly though, check how good the uni is for you're specific subject area, because that varies a lot university wide. Hope that helps!
Thanks for this! I’m heading to Edinburgh uni later this year and this was very informative!

How did you go about finding a church to attend? Is there like a church crawl that happens or did you just research local churches around?

I'm really glad it helped Zofia!! I stayed in Robertson's Close :)
Lovely channel, you've got a wonderful, adorable personality. Your voice is nice, has a good sound.

Yeah! It was a tough first semester, but then I got pretty good :D
how much does it cost to rent a medium appartment per month ? and is it true that racism is pretty present there?

How’s the career services in Edinburgh? Do you think there are good job prospects after studying there?
