No offense, but Jamie's a producer. Jamie's got to be controlling the flow via the switcher, and when he speaks it is to bring information they need so that they don't have to stop conversation. Jamie is a professional, and that's why he's off camera and only speaks when spoken to. I don't know if Jamie ever worked in radio as a producer, but he behaves like a broadcast professional.

It wasn't JUST for Joe. I think we all needed it. This interview was the antithesis of the famous interview where RDJ walks out bc the reporter couldn't stop talking about his past drug use. You can tell both Robert (calling himself "bob" is just weird to me) and Joe both respect each other and it was honest and organic. I wish it was longer, but doing a press tour doesn't lend itself to 3 plus hour interviews. I hope he does come back bc dude has lived enough life for 3 lifetimes

Funny, he comes across as one of the least genuine guests on the podcasts ever to me. Only topped by that nutjob that was walking around with 2 kindles and claimed 8 dollar earphones had the best bass.
Hes great how he can do suave, super confident and cocky like Tony Stark and then dishevelled and neurotic like Sherlock. I cant wait for the 3rd Sherlock film 😄
Here years late he’s so wholesome. Robert Downey jr. broke down outside my hometown and was super respectful to the old farmers who helped him. It was a such a cool story. Love this. Favorite interview
Its funny you say that because some people think he doesnt like being around people that famous on camera for very long and even more so when he likes them genuinely. He likes being candid with them and off camera convos that he wouldn't have on air and so trolls dont pick it apart too much he tries to keep his most important people closer to an hour than others just go down his movie list you'll see all the big people closer to an hour than the "friends" podcasts such as and especially Joey Diaz, Brendan Schaub, every fucking UFC's fighter and C list comedian ever, Joey diaz
Would LOVE to see him do another Sherlock. I am a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes. And I LOVE his role as him. I also absolutely love the TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch. He slays the role as well.
He would shoot him that same look he gave him when Jamie apologized. But it would be more intense. "Jamie! We talked about this! Jesus Fuck! Go ahead Bob."
RDJ has went from playing the role of a black man in "tropic thunder" to playing the role of a black man in "Doolittle", two very different things endcapping the box office sensation of the decade.
I absolutely love him. I have 21 years sober so I have a soft spot for him. So it makes me really happy to see him succeed in his acting and have his life so togather. Nothing is better then to see someone win in life and it makes you really appreciate that you have won too. God bless him🙏❤️
Robert Downey is my top 4 favorite actors of all time! He just has this unique way to deliver actions in the movie that many other actors can’t. Very surprised how simple he is in real life and how easy to talk to him !
I love how well he tries to include jamie. I dont believe he ever address him, but RDJ constantly looks to jamie, and expresses toward Jamie. I know its Joe's show, but shit, we all know jamie is there, and present.
Robert's collaboration with Jude Law as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson is the best adaptation since Basil Rathbone of the 1940s not to mention Robert's performance as a Black man in Tropic Thunder. Nobody could pull that off and not insult the Black community but Robert Downey Jr.
@José Mário Silva Júnior right?! I got introduced to the world of podcast with the JRE like the basic bitch I am. And now, regular podcasts that are 30 minutes long or an hour long and doesn't talk about chimps, weed, dmt, stand up, are not as free flowing and natural as the JRE.
@Gautham Menon true. Yet, I don't get it how he can act in front of a movie crew with probably 60 people in the room and do stuff on stage like 2077 as an introvert. Of course depends on how introverted he is.
@@Nangoncrazy Introverted doesn't mean he's a recluse or has social anxiety or even social difficulty. It just means he gets his energy by being alone. After a long day, an introvert will spend some time by himself, while an extrovert will go out and party or other extrovert stuff
Don’t you wish he would publicly talk about it more? Even in this interview he brought it up saying he’d say more off the record. Just seems like he’d help even more people by talking about it more in depth?
Its because the western world has no sense of community, there are no elders, there is no meeting ground, no public forum. The biggest weakness of the emphasis on individualism is seperation and loneliness.
He didn't seem like he wanted to go.. This could easily have been a 3 hour podcast. Hope he comes back

Do it Joe!
Technically that already happened on jre ^^
This is literally one of the episodes I wish was a two or three-hour podcast
Since he said he'll be back maybe it will happen when he's less busy in his acting career.
better than no RDJ
@@SingTingz31 that'll be a good while, I could not even comprehend how in demand the past decade or so. Let alone now.
For a guy playing a character called do little, he sure does a lot.
Could it figuratively be one of the episodes you wish was two or three hours long?
This is by far the best duo he needs to bring Robert on the show more
I've never seen a more lint-free black shirt in my life, RDJ really is a super hero
🤣🤣🖖🏻
😂😂
Ever heard of a lint brush
G cx
He's not wearing a black shirt...?
It’s always nice when a guest acknowledges that Jamie’s in the room too.
I noticed it too. I thought it showed good character.
Was just gonna say. Respect to Bob for that.
Get out of my head..
Time stamp ?
J0hnnie lol bob
The fact that Robert keeps looking over at and acknowledging young Jamie really says something about who he is.
Glad someone seems to be on the right page. Countless passes and jokes that were far from what i was expecting to me a lady killer. There's been alot Jr interviews that just leave a eery feeling in the back of my mind..... And down that rabbit hole we go. Dammit
Who, his father?
Yep
Yea its a good trick politicians use as well. To include everyone around you and put them on equal footing too
pretty sure he's looking at his publicist, he does this in all his interviews
I love when someone makes Joe genuinely giggle. Best thing. 😂❤
RDJr. is a really cool, and genuine guy. And also gives JR the respect that he deserves. They both do.
Great talk - fantastic podcast
I was going to litterally going say the exact same. 100%
Dont forget to swallow after suckin them off
Robert Downer Jr. a genuine guy hahahahahahahahaha
Funny, he comes across as one of the least genuine guests on the podcasts ever to me. Only topped by that nutjob that was walking around with 2 kindles and claimed 8 dollar earphones had the best bass.
Live Maschine Tutorials who was that?
His Sherlock Holmes character is my favorite part that he plays. The way he conveys the character and the synergy he and Jude have is perfect.
Came to the comments to say exactly that. I like him in every role I've seen, but Sherlock is my favorite.
Hes great how he can do suave, super confident and cocky like Tony Stark and then dishevelled and neurotic like Sherlock.
I cant wait for the 3rd Sherlock film 😄
Agreed!
We desperately need more Sherlock movies with Jude. I feel like those movies were kinda slept on.
RDJ and Jude are the best combo I've ever seen
My first thought, “Holy shit RDJ is on Joe Rogan!”
Second thought, “WHY IS THIS ONLY AN HOUR?!”
Thank you JR and publicist.
Now Keanu is coming?
RDJ is a busy man.
i can see keanu making an appearance before matrix 4 and/or john wick 4. but he wouldn't need to do it though
I notice that whenever he has a superstar on it's usually fairly short.
Big celebrities are never on for more than 1.5 hours
hahahaha ..I knew there'd be a bunch of Keanu requests. whats wrong with you terds lol? most over rated actor of all time. GET CHAPPELLE ALREADY
11:42 aged like fine wine
Ahh brother we on the same page
Nobody Pete’s the Pete like you do Pete
You can always tell how famous someone is by the time they spend on a joe rogan podcast
Or guest with a limited topic experience
He only spent 1 hour so not too famous
Bob Smith other way around
@@bobsmith962 the less time the more famous obviously you dense mong
I feel like RDJ wanted to go longer. Joe cut him off at the end too
Joe creates chemistry with everyone. That’s something special
Yeah hes really good at conversation
That's dmt
Everyone? Laughs in Neil Degrasse Tyson
He good at WA he does
@@EddieKMusic fr Neil Tyson was rude most of his episode by constantly interrupting Joe and not letting anyone else talk
Joe cared enough about this talk to even get his headphones straight on his head
David Kymdell I’m glad someone else noticed that. They’ve been crooked for months.
The biggest benefit to the carnivores diet is apparently straight headphones
Absolutely first thing I noticed
I forgot they had on headphones lbvs
Here years late he’s so wholesome. Robert Downey jr. broke down outside my hometown and was super respectful to the old farmers who helped him. It was a such a cool story. Love this. Favorite interview
Robert Downey Jr: I'll never do Iron Man again.
Me: Looking at his necklace
he is voicing iron man in what if series
Jean Tejada Yes, but not actually an Iron Man comeback
Is that a skateboard wheel?
That's no necklace....
It's his source of power
dakota38rip+ yeah I think it is a roller blade wheel that’s hilarious haven’t seen one of those in 20 years if that is what it is lol
Joe sitting here trying to join the Avengers initiative.
He's their new camera guy
Doctor DMT
@Jack this guy knows "real cinema" he must be really cool
@@Arikarinful wow he must be fun at parties
@Jack learn how to take a joke
Downey's manager "be sure to leave after an hour so they know you're A list"
Neil G LOL!
Seemed like he wanted to go longer but Joe had something better to do... WTF Joe?
The most puzzling to me was when he had Mike Tyson for only an hour and half at a time when he was pushing 3 hours regularly.
Brendan Cook they probably hung out for a bit after and talked off camera
Sherlock Holmes was my favorite Robert Downey Jr role. It was a mix between realistic and fantasy but he nailed it like most every role he does.
Would LOVE to see him do another Sherlock. I am a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes. And I LOVE his role as him. I also absolutely love the TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch. He slays the role as well.

If Jamie said a single word, Joe would have beat him silly after the podcast.🤣
🤣🤣🤣
For real
A. GraVes “Um not actually snopes says black face is really bad right now”
He would shoot him that same look he gave him when Jamie apologized. But it would be more intense. "Jamie! We talked about this! Jesus Fuck! Go ahead Bob."
#FreeYoungJamie
Robert “ I'm a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude. “ Downey Jr.

One of his greatest roles hahaha
Favorite movie ever
th-cam.com/video/CFG5dk1GyRo/w-d-xo.html
RDJ has went from playing the role of a black man in "tropic thunder" to playing the role of a black man in "Doolittle", two very different things endcapping the box office sensation of the decade.
When RDJ said “Oh” at the end as if he was disappointed it’s over. Can’t wait till he’s back.
Yes! Joe totally cut this interview short and RDJ wasn't through!
Ya WTF...
I was shocked wen i saw it was barely ovr n hr
(suuuch a bummr!)
Probably the agent had a say
Ton of times the celebs have schedules to stick to.
Time flies when you're having fun. Maybe that's the case for RDJ.
I absolutely love him. I have 21 years sober so I have a soft spot for him. So it makes me really happy to see him succeed in his acting and have his life so togather. Nothing is better then to see someone win in life and it makes you really appreciate that you have won too. God bless him🙏❤️
When you consider RDJ usually doesn't do interviews for more than 10 mins, over an hour on JRE is pretty insane
They are more of conversations than interviews that's probably why
Never seen him on Howard Stern I take it then? Always more than an hour. Usually 90 mins
Stern
It's good that they've got common interests and that Bob at least seems to be familiar with JR.
OchaTime OchaTime Bob? JR? Who do you think you are, Jamie? Get a grip loser and of course he knows who Joe is. What are you even talking about...
I know the guest is cool when he shares eye contact with Jamie.
Dude, I was thinking the same thing
the little things.
Telios Abraxas none of the prescriptions he mentioned were anywhere close to blind. You peon ass dork
Telios Abraxas That’s so fucked up. Take my upvote.
Joe can Just Play himself in the Marvel universe. He is the Podcast Host that Interviews the Avengers after the next big controversy.
"What is the hulks workout regiment."
"He doesn't work out."
"Oh my goodness imagine if he did dmt"
So good
such as endgame? yea, true.
That would be a funny asf post credit scene
That's actually a great idea lol
Robert Downey is my top 4 favorite actors of all time! He just has this unique way to deliver actions in the movie that many other actors can’t. Very surprised how simple he is in real life and how easy to talk to him !
I enjoy how RDJ is involving Jamie in the conversation by looking at him too
Grant Reid classy. And a badass too! 👍
Thats alpha
indeed
y wud u say that’s alpha
Bebark Iqbal how is it not alpha
We’ve accomplished getting RDJ on the show, now let’s get Keanu Reeves!!!
Keanu killed Epstein. Keanu is the perfect front and mastermind behind the elite pedophile ring.
And David icke as well
Also Drake and Kanye west on here
Hell yeah
Can't be happy with the guests he gets. Always need more. More more more
fook yes
This was so short cause Robert kept looking at Jaime like a human
cant have that can we
@@SilentPotatoGFX can we show that? jamie, pull it up
Thar comment just killed me. 🤣🤣🤣
Stop humanizing jaime now joe will have to beat him back into helper droid
YUPPPP
Two very successful guys who exude a genuine sense of gratitude.
I love how well he tries to include jamie. I dont believe he ever address him, but RDJ constantly looks to jamie, and expresses toward Jamie. I know its Joe's show, but shit, we all know jamie is there, and present.
I was gonna write the same thing! Shows respect and thats awesome
Did Jamie write this comment
He did an episode with Young Jamie.

“I’m a dude playing a dude disguised by another dude “. Greatest movie line of all time
TROPIC THUNDER! A fucking classic.
I was a saucier down in San Antoine!
He was technically playing a dude that was playing a dude disguised as another dude
th-cam.com/video/tKvqhlhXq9s/w-d-xo.html
The movie that turned him around for me.
Butchered the line!
RDJ fans: Damn a 1 hour interview that's insane!
JRE fans: *ONLY 1 HOUR!?!*
Seemed more like a conversation than an interview to me
Yeah that's true but I'm watching it because I love RDJ and wow I'm really enjoying this 😊
@José Mário Silva Júnior right?! I got introduced to the world of podcast with the JRE like the basic bitch I am. And now, regular podcasts that are 30 minutes long or an hour long and doesn't talk about chimps, weed, dmt, stand up, are not as free flowing and natural as the JRE.
Hopefully Keanu Reeves will be on this podcast one day too
Yes. This.
@Gautham Menon true. Yet, I don't get it how he can act in front of a movie crew with probably 60 people in the room and do stuff on stage like 2077 as an introvert. Of course depends on how introverted he is.
John Wick hanging out with Marshall😍
@@Nangoncrazy because it's less personal than a one on one personal conversation on camera. At least that's my take.
@@Nangoncrazy Introverted doesn't mean he's a recluse or has social anxiety or even social difficulty. It just means he gets his energy by being alone. After a long day, an introvert will spend some time by himself, while an extrovert will go out and party or other extrovert stuff
