This ladies and gentlemen is how two adults have a conversation with differing views. Calm cool collected with some comedy in the mix. I’d love to see a sequel!
These two are total buddies who are unbelievably confortable with disagreeing, and I love them both for this. If instead of false, easy virtue, people just bothered being genuine, there wouldn't be half of the tyranny there is. This was the most apolitical political conversation I've witnessed
You don’t need to be buddies to do this.. just have to have an open mind.. people nowadays don’t even wanna see your lips move if your opinion or views don’t aline with theirs smfh kids today don’t understand how important it is to listen to others it doesn’t mean you have to change your views. But you get to learn the perspective of others which teaches you a lot more about life.
It's kind of comforting to watch two experienced and level headed interviewers converse. Did anyone else notice how neither of them cut the other off? Both considered everything the other said, every topic was covered thoroughly. Really great to listen to.
My favorite thing to do is listen to Ben's podcast on half speed then he sounds like hes drunk AF..... I discovered that on accident with my apple watch one day at work lol
Was awesome hearing them go back and forth both making valid points about their beliefs while never raising their voices, getting angry, or being rude to each other throughout. This is how more people should try to communicate about differences💯
Even tho Ben Shapiro talks fast and often to assert his views over Rogan. He didn't once pause to absorb the information presented to him. He always has a but or an or, talks like a machine gun spits bullets. He personifies what he tries so hard to hide with verbal diarrhea.
I agree, it’s always good to keep an open dialogue. But, Ben actively poisons the water. He is not an honest actor who simply has a difference of opinion, he pushes propoganda. He has a long history of lying, pushing false narratives, and diluting the facts to fit his points. He isn’t constructive, he’s a tool that deserves to be ignored.
@@christianst.germain2547 Really? And how is that? Open dialogue doesn't exist when you're talking to someone who's only goal is to twist the truth, buddy.
@@K3v114 Exactly. Shapiro has avoided any real debate with prominent left wing figures. Anyone can go to a college campus and find ill informed college students to beat up on in an informal debate in which they had no time to prepare.
I'm Mexican and I thought that "Trader Jose" was hilarious 😂😂😂 I see nothing racist about that. This new generation is too soft and have zero since of humor.
You guys are spot on, there’s a way to both respect cultures such as the Mexican/American culture as well as maintaining humor to relate to each other. It helps to come from humility when we address each other rather than this college kid demeanor of “I know everything”
Too soft yep. Zero sense of humor yep. Even so across the board, probably was a white kid who made the complaint. That's what they do now believing folks can't stick up for themselves if they actually had a problem with it. Which in fact, no one probably does. Cuz we ain't soft, and have a sense of humor.
I think the greatest takeaway from this podcast is, depending on your beliefs, we all need a Joe or a Ben in our lives. We need someone with opposing views from ourselves, whom we can sit down with and discuss our ideas. I’ve made a habit of practicing this and have found myself to be a more well rounded, peaceful person because of it. This is is the way we can save humanity.
I know, everyone has forgotten that we are all one. In politics, people view their interactions with people like steps on a ladder, you just beat this guy in an argument, move on to the next until you have goomba stomped everyone opposing you. It should be like a sponge, accepting and processing every person's words and using them to make each other better.
I used to do this on Facebook. I never deleted people who did the same, i.e. discussed with me, or even trolled me consistently. But I got deleted by others. Interestingly, it seems like people don't like to be around someone who doesn't admire them!! On other platforms like messaging apps with close circle of friends, I tried to discuss issues like climate change or social justice, but you only need to question something to attract labels such as 'far right' or anti-science. To the best of my understanding, to be pro science these days, yoh have to stop questioning. To be liberal, you have to shut up and do as you are told. And to be honest, after taking the 'far right' labels for some time, I couldn't help fighting back and calling them 'communists' (which they found very disturbing).
I don't agree with everything Ben believes in but, I love listening to the man. He's honestly got a lot of good points, he believes in conversation and debate in a rational manner. Not only that but he stays true to his morals. I have to give him respect where it's due.
That's the "other side" of the argument that's missing from everyday encounters. We use to respect that everyone is different. Now they're an enemy. Modern conservatism seems to want to let people do what they want, so long as they don't impose it upon others, while holding basic notions of morality. That aside, people should disagree. Making everyone conform to a certain world view is narcissistic totalitarianism. Though as a society, certain public norms should be observed. That's where the problems begin, but at least we shouldn't be trying to tear each other down over disparate beliefs.
I also don’t agree with Ben on everything but the way he presents everything is so flawless, he can somehow convince me that it’s understandable to murder little kids morally.
The Germ Theory was never actually proven to be 100% accurate, yet the trillion dollar medical industry is entirely based on that theory. What's the CAUSE of death in people with this "virus"? Does their brain explode? Does their heart stop beating? The CAUSE of death is still pneumonia. Pneumonia is not something you can "catch". It's a biological result of being "scared to death" of something which is exactly what the media has done to people dumb enough to watch them. Why do you think young kids aren't getting the Boogey Virus? Because they aren't sitting in front of the news being scared to death because they're too young to understand a Fear Campaign. These pathetic "experts" just make shit it up to explain their narrative as they go. First they tell you kids bring home every illness from school because they're not "exposed" to enough things, then they say somehow they're immune to a Boogey Virus? Does anyone have common sense?! You don't show the symptoms of "disease" until you stop being panicked and afraid. These symptoms usually show up 1-2 weeks after you've relaxed and resolved the upsetting event. So governments around the world are CAUSING fear frights in everyone based on an unproven THEORY by one man, Louis Pastaur, who redacted his claim of the germ theory on his death bed, yet no one listened. So of course, when everyone is allowed to escape the hostage situation the governments have put their people into, and they start relaxing about the Boogey Virus, that's not in any way transmissible, they will begin their healing phase (get sick), and believe they then have it, and more panic will ensue as well as martial law. The longer people allow this government to hold them hostage in their homes, the more severe the "sickness" will be. The countries that had the shortest amount of time of holding their people hostage, had the least amount of "illness". Can't you put 2 and 2 together to figure out what I'm saying?? Western Medicine is pure fraud, and people's lives are destroyed because of it.
This was a great, mature, cordial conversation between two reasonable adults. Why isn't this the norm for society? People have lost their goddamn minds
it's quite hard to do so! it's a combination of several little things. you have to consider everything you're saying and ask yourself if you're being comprehensible or correct etc. for eg. saying people have lost their goddamn minds! i won't be patronising and try to explain why that might not be totally accurate. while minor it's the additive effect of several little lapses and some major ones that create less than conducive discourse !
Joe said it himself, politics and social issues have devolved into Twitter feuds. The mentally unstable at the extremes of the political spectrum have turned these types of conversations into psychotic rants. Why anyone would get their worldview informed from places like Facebook and Twitter is beyond me.
Agreed. I'd love to see Ben and Bret Weinstein debate certain issues, since I think both represent grounded intellectuals on the opposite ends of the spectrum. They'd be able to make excellent cases for their respective sides and would also be respectful.
To participate in a discussion like this one requires a certain level of intelligence from all parties. This kind of conversation used to be the norm...but then, so did intelligence.
2 adult intellectuals having a civil conversation from completely different backgrounds listening and learning from one another. This is exactly what America needs more of. Great podcast!

The family, religion, basic education, individual initiative, and the rule of law are all critical to the success of a community. The government keeps undermining all aspects of these things.
There was a great level of respect between these two gentlemen. They went back and forth and kept their respect of each other. They seemed like they really enjoyed their friendship. Great great lesson for many of us.

When do we as humans have to take on responsibility? Accountability? come on Joe...that take was not good and really lays the foundation for excuses why this happens.
As a Mexican living in Mexico (not the US) I have to say: 1) I am not offended by Trader Jose’s I think is hilarious 2) Rick Bayless is actually a very good chef and I would eat his food. When he comes to Mexico he learns from native people and listens and respects the culture. Leave him alone.
Tacko Mako I love it when white leftists get all offended by innocuous things, especially when natives of the countries in topic chime in and confirm the innocuous nature of the subject in question. Gracias, Minerva.
As a liberal, I watched the whole thing. It was fun to see some back and fourth of ideas without people getting angry. Ben is right about China, we are all silent on them putting people in camps.
It's been pretty extensively covered. It's just that to put enough pressure on China to make them stop it much of the rest of the world is going to have to take a pretty big economic hit and it seems like while everyone is aware of what is going on we collectively don't care enough to do anything meaningful about it.
I actually loved the Bernie episode and I don't support him what-so-ever. I think we just realize that we'd probably have a beer with these people we think we hate. Maybe this country should calm the fuck down and just talk it out. I don't think regular people are as crazy as these people in the spotlight (on both sides).
I talked to a cop here in my town and what he told me is that sometimes when a cop rats out another "bad" cop, the cop that did the ratting out ends up on the night shift, almost like a punishment. So I am sure there are good cops that want to do something about bad cops, but they are afraid to out of concern for their own career.
I feel as though, if a cop is really bad, you should risk your career to get him out of there. Cops have wives and children though, so I’m pretty conflicted. It’s a difficult issue but I don’t know how relevant it really is. I’m for reform not defunding.
I've never been a cop, but they also have to rely on one another. You might not like your fellow officers, but when the bullets start flying and you need backup, you will take whatever help you can get.
That's what sucks about the system as it currently exists, there's no practical motivation to do the right thing but there's practical motivation to not report wrongdoing. If you have a good cop making a living for his family, he shouldn't be in a position where he has to decide between ignoring a bad cop or reporting him and accepting retaliation. They need protection in place for officers reporting on other officers.
Problem with America overall and just as much in law enforcement. Bad or wrongly behavior is reworded and pretty much demanded if you gonna make a living. Anything of the opposite is punishable. Law enforcement is just the a small portion of an overall sickness of America.
Damn joe… you are like a really good dude. I didn’t watch you for so long, didn’t want to be apart of your community, but f**k you are as smart as they come, happy to watch for years to come.

Regarding "falling into bed with someone"... “The problem with treating other people as casual sexual objects is that you also treat yourself that way simultaneously.” - Jordan Peterson
Don't get me wrong, I love J.Peterson, and this doesn't contradict what you/he said. But what if you treat sexual partners respectfully as free souls wanting to explore the mutual bodily pleasures and have a spiritual connection. Even if only for a moment. I think that is real, even if quite difficult to obtain. But it shouldn't be.
@Deirdre Morris the best things in life are never easy. Marriage is safer, but just as - if not more - difficult. Usually because in a marriage the concept of a free respectful soul is so often neglected and jeopardised.
So I went on a Joe binge today and I've really tried to get through this but I'm out not because of the content but just because I can't listen that fast!

This should be the model for American kids. They disagree on many things but still have an excellent dialogue.
I agree, it’s always good to keep an open dialogue. But, Ben actively poisons the water. He is not an honest actor who simply has a difference of opinion, he pushes propoganda. He has a long history of lying, pushing false narratives, and diluting the facts to fit his points.

Ben Shapiro is my hero.
Agreed 💯
I'll take a Joe. I probably wouldn't get along very well with a Ben.
And u finally just learned it now ? Lol. Or 2 months ago when u commented this ?
@@synishere Isn't Ben anti-abortion?

Dude that's sooo old.

His answers on police reform weren't that bad either.
I actually loved the Bernie episode and I don't support him what-so-ever. I think we just realize that we'd probably have a beer with these people we think we hate. Maybe this country should calm the fuck down and just talk it out. I don't think regular people are as crazy as these people in the spotlight (on both sides).
Their views on homeless people are abhorrent.
Joe reminds us that people are, in fact, human.
They should not be cops if they value good shifts over protecting communities.
Damn joe… you are like a really good dude. I didn’t watch you for so long, didn’t want to be apart of your community, but f**k you are as smart as they come, happy to watch for years to come.

Check out his TH-cam page! He does a hour long podcast every week day where he talks about his point of view in current events
I loved the show . Awesome points in conversation, but please change that dark wall curtain. It swallows a person up. Keep up the good work.🙂
This was the most constructive disagreement I've ever seen
I just wish Ben would stop making all those logic fallacies (most blatantly the straw man)
@@TheRedstonedeluxe you're delusional
Although Ben has some rather dangerous, silly, and easily disproven beliefs-- he seems principled. I can at least respect that type of commitment. On that merit he's better than the Dave Rubin type.
@@israelsrealm LOL what are those "rather dangerous, silly and easily disproven beliefs" you are talking about?
@@ronnykazadi352 His points on the PragerU vid about Islam are good place to start
Took an hour for Ben to mention his wife is a doctor. He showed good restraint
I can tell your a real Ben fan.
Cornbread IsBetterThanPizza and I can tell that *you’re not
Took Joe 20 minutes to mention the martial-arts (and then every 20 minutes thereafter;).
A R Yeah and we’d have a country full of sexually unsatisfied women lol
A R I can’t imaging The mental gymnastics you had to do to correlate internet thots to BLM
Less than 5 minutes and Joe brings up elk meat.
How many minutes in should he wait to bring it up?
This has to be the best Joe Rogan video
😆 😂 th-cam.com/video/yVcd6YbSgBA/w-d-xo.html
Sausages!
Is that his personal best?
The guy is an addict lol
Hearing Ben talk is really an amazing experience!! He’s so smart and logical , I wish Ben would get into politics! I would love to hear him tear apart those running against him lol!! I would vote for Ben to become the king of America!!!
He is in politics 😂
We don't do kings in america
Mob loots Amazon Go store...Mob gets automatically charged for what they took. Checkmate Jeff.
Someone should pitch that idea to Jeff for a few million. In staying current with times they will open Amazon Loot stores, where you can come and loot RFID chipped items that you will be charged for when leaving. They can even save money on decorations and staff.
@@denis2306 that's what happened
And....all the costs for the items stolen get reintroduced into the products legitimately sold. ie....your Amazon purchase just went up
were sorry, your card has been denied**
@The Clownening Yep robbing that place is up there with the geniuses that robbed products from the Apple store.
