Funny thing is the iPad Mini is the only widely used iPad outside the creative space. It’s commonly used by law agencies, aviation, marine, logistics, health institutions and even more
Yes, I am a resident physician and I used my iPad mini on AM rounds to check labs in real time and put in orders. It’s not cumbersome, fits in the pockets of my white coat, and doesn’t take up unnecessary space. It’s also the greatest study tool you can use to quickly glance at medical info on the fly and take down notes and create to do lists for patients. I would be upset if apple removed it from its lineup. I also have the iPhone 13 mini, and love it as well. I hate phones that are too big to fit into pockets comfortably.
I have a few pilot friends who swear by the ipad mini (cockpit ipads) for their electronic flight bags. It's size makes it perfect in the cockpit. The screen in large enough to be readable while being small enough to not dominate the limited space.
This is the device I wanted. I would've bought the 6th gen earlier this year, but with the rumblings about a minor upgrade I waited and preordered on announcement day. Its going to be an ereader, note taking device and for casual media consumption. I don't need higher than 60hz if that is going to raise the price at all. I understand everyone else's wants for this to be a pro device, but with an iPhone, an M3 Pro Macbook Pro, and Apple TV connected to a 77" LG 4K TV, this is a perfect fit for exactly what it will do for me.
Apple’s dream customer. IPhone, iPad, Apple Tv, Macbook… 😅 I have many of their products too: watch, iPhone, ipad, but sold my old MacBook and iMac this year. Saving up for some newer MacBook.
The problem is, is that Apple blocks there own sales with other products! For example, you can buy the larger ipad 9th and 10th gen for a lot cheaper price then the ipad mini, thus making no one wanting to buy the mini! That's the problem!
Yeah there's this. I think the Mini is popular in the tech space because it's so convenient due to the size. But you're right, for the price, it's an odd choice!
I enjoy my iPad mini 6 and I'm an Android user. The mini is just the perfect size for watching content or reading a book or quick navigation for big screen. I think the perfect iPad mini would be one with an m1 or M2 chip. Like you said no camera except for one in the front and And that should be on the long side. Better microphones for video calls. Thinner bezels unable to use it as a second monitor for either a Mac or a PC
I don’t think Apple would kill the iPad Mini. A lot of people only think about the device from an average consumer’s perspective, but these devices are absolutely critical in many enterprise deployments due to their smaller form factor. I know that HVAC employees use these things for everything since they’re pocketable and much smaller than a standard iPad/iPad Pro. Waiters and small businesses appreciate using them as small payment terminals as well. While it is a small market, I think a lot of business appreciate this device, and Apple has been trying to keep their foot in the door for business and education.
I have a iPad 5. I dropped something on it’s screen and battery is dying. Been waiting for the update. I’ll be getting myself one for Christmas. Not everybody needs pro chips and a zillion bytes . Me included
The big problem with iPad's is that they killed the golden screen size of 9.7", instead opting to keep a similar footprint and just stretch the screen instead of shrinking the footprint for slimmer bezels on the 9.7" screen. It seems they basically want the standard size to be 11", which is just that little bit too big to be an optimal handheld tablet. Sure, it's the same footprint as the old iPad 2 era, but making the screen itself bigger means that content that was just shy of awkwardly large on the 9.7" looks distracting and makes you hold it further away. 9.7" was just small enough to browse sites and apps in portrait and just big enough to watch movies and play games in landscape.
For me making a Mini Pro would be the perfect iPad. Either OLED or even keeping it LCD would be fine if they’d give it the 600 nits of brightness the last gen IPad Pros had. Give it 4 speakers like the Pros, give it ProMotion, give it either the A18 Pro chip or an M series chip and allow for Stage Manager use. If they’d do that I would trade my 11 inch M2 Pro for it pretty instantly. I much prefer the small size. I just can’t give up some features
iPad Mini is our only “device” It does everything we need. We will update and enjoy the enhancements. I hope the product remains in the line up for many years.
Simply upgrading the camera to a modern spec would make it a huge preference for film makers, especially with the new FCP camera app. Instead of carrying around a big, bulky iPad as the control camera, you could have a smaller one. This would attract a huge audience. Also, i think it just makes sense despite the price and demographic difference to have a pro camera on the iPad mini as its the closest thing to phone whilst still being almost computer like.
Of course I'll get the Mini 7th Gen! My present is an iPad 5th gen, purchased in 2017. Apple no longer offers OS updates. I am opting for the Mini because of its size. I am NOT a gamer, I use a tablet for reading & writing. Please do what you can to let The Apple People know we want the Journal app to be CROSS-PLATFORM! Thank you!
I use my mini every day. I don't want to carry a pro max phone around all tht time but the mini size is perfect for browsing at home. The larger ipad is almost to heavy to hold tho
The 6 has been my favourite iPad of all time. Yes, screen “issues” and all. I was hoping for a more relevant update, but it’s still good to see they did something. At least that. But I’d love an 8 with OLED… that’s all.
Former iPad mini 5 owner here. Was holding out for a 7 with promotion and/or face id but recently got bored of waiting and replaced both my iPhone mini AND iPad mini with an OPPO Find N2 foldable. Very happy with the switch! 😅
I have a sweet spot for the iPad Mini and Mac Mini for that matter. I think the Apple product line at the moment is a right mess. It's weird that the iPad mini is more expensive than the regular iPad, that has a bigger screen. Most people don't want to pay more money to get less. - Even though the iPad mini is more powerful, it's still not powerful enough to warrant not going for the regular iPad. Then if you want the larger screen version, you still have got to decide whether you want the iPad Air, or the stupidly expensive iPad Pro. The iPad Pro - amazing desktop power, but without the desktop apps (Yes Logic Pro for iPad I'm talking about you!). Then there are about 6 Apple pencils or something.... Talk about confusing!! They should just come out with 3 sizes - 8" Mini, 10" Pro, and 12" Max. All available in an M2 or M4 processor. Let people then decide what screen size they want, and how much power/storage. Then 1 pencil that works on them all. It would be way less confusing!!
I think give it 2-4 years and they'll standardise the pencils - but yeah it's a right mess at the moment. My buyers guides get more complicated every year with all the varying price points and specs which don't make sense - spend more and get a lower spec product, but that has a couple of features the cheaper one doesn't !
@@PeteMatheson It's almost as if the confusion is a deliberate sales tactic to make people buy way more than they need. I'm seriously considering 2 regular iPads over a 13" iPad Air - as surely two iPads are better than one right?
@@benjaminpeternorris I got tricked by apple this way. Just wanted the iPad mini but the normal iPad was cheaper and bigger. Then because I wanted to draw and stuff and the screen of the iPad air is much better for that I landed there. Then I realised the step to the Pro isn't that big. So I love my iPad Pro but at first I just wanted the mini 😅
I have to admit I'm a champion of sorts for the iPad mini 7. Yeah, it should have had an A18 or a lower price, but you know what? It's still the fastest small tablet you can buy, it supports one of the most advanced styluses you can buy, and it's going have several years of software support. Sounds like a great digital sketchbook for artists, or an e-reader on steroids for people who also want to play games or do some audiovisual editing on the side. With that said, if I were in the market for an iPad right this second, I'd buy an 11-inch iPad Air M2 (if money was a vague concern) or a 13-inch iPad Pro M4 (if I was ready to splurge). But that's more my particular needs than anything.
I just traded my 12.9" pro for the new iPad Air M2 11" just a few weeks ago. I also have a Mini 6 and I'm trying to justify "upgrading" to the mini 7. Of all the iPads I have owned over the years, the mini is my absolute favorite. Unfortunately I bought the base mini 6 with only 64gb storage and I'm just about out of storage space, so I could really use more storage (other than external ssd) just not sure if I should. I can get $230 trade in for my current iPad mini so that's only about $220 out of pocket for a new iPad mini.... hmmmm decisions decisions. I personally wouldn't need a "pro" versions of the mini, but I can see why people would love that. How about give it everything the Air has just in the mini size? Mini Air anyone?
I'll get it in a few months after seeing if the jelly scroll issue is gone and 8gb will be sufficient. I don't mind the plain screen, less energy consumed and less burn in. I'm new to iPad eco. I want something cellular for note taking and travel.
I would have waited a year if I had known this was coming. Instead I wanted to get rid of my Mini 5 that was aging. So I got the Mini 6 last December. Now only 10 months later I’m going to trade it in and get the new one and stick with it.
I was at the store today and randomly saw an iPad Mini in display for the first time. Tried it a bit and fell in love with it, it has the best dimensions and also the best/comfortable bezel size out there. This product is a true gem. PS. you can also type easily on it
i used to own an ipad mini 4 from 2015 to 2021 i used it for everything, reading, studying, consuming media, and gaming. it was the perfect size for me as i have small hands. i recently got the ipad 10th gen, however, i really miss the smaller size of the mini since it can be more portable. i sometimes want to bring a smaller bag but my 10th gen can’t fit so i have to switch bags. i hope apple doesn’t discontinue the mini series as i see myself choosing the smaller form factor more
Their "bare minimum" upgrade is irrelevant when people would still buy whatever the products they release so "punish" them with your wallet and don't buy their products till they get their sh*t right
@@TheGodNC tech will almost always be better with time so we move on (unless it's certain functional "left-out" features like SD card slot, 3.5mm jack, IR blaster)
The pencil pro on the ipad mini can make this the best sketchbook to have! Can be carried quite easily in a lightweight bag and even some coat inner pockets. Bring it everywhere to draw and sketch and when you get home, use the iPad Pro to continue refining your art!
I love my Mini 6. It instantly replaced my iPad Pro, which I rarely use anymore. I’m actually watching this on it. It’s handier, easier to travel with, and isn’t pretending to be a (poor) laptop replacement. Shame they didn’t do more with the update. I’ll stick with the 6. Wish they still had the mini phone. I’ve always bought the pro max because it served as my television/infotainment unit, but I’ve recently got home high speed internet and I don’t need my phone to fill that role anymore.
I would only like to talk about the Paperlike screen protector. A few warnings - it's a matte screen protector, so don't buy it if you plan on doing anything beyond taking notes, because the colour accuracy is going to go down. That means your colour richness - the inky blacks - are also going away. Second, there would be a bit of rainbowing too, since it is, once again, a matte screen protector. That means you'd be seeing what looks like colour noise from the display, because the diffusing layer scatters the light into different colours. Third and most important, only buy this product if you can afford: 1. The $45 price for a matte screen protector because that is not cheap. 2. Stylus tip replacements, because the apple pencil stylus is not made for rough surfaces and it would wear out much quicker than usual.
The problem is price. Why is an iPad that feels the same to use as the regular iPad but smaller almost double the price. Just make the iPad Mini the same price as the normal iPad and increase the memory.
The reason the price is so high is because at a lower price point the profits become marginal and then the decision is whether to continue or discontinue the iPad mini. It is a small seller making low profit even less than the iPhone mini, and that was abandoned. People expecting cheaper prices would end up with nothing like in Android land where Samsung has given up on the $500 8-in tablet for obvious reasons.

hands down if the ipad mini, had thinner borders, a little keyboard compatible for certain more comfortable commands, a differentiator of design in the back something that can make the appearance pop.
Slimmer bezels, landscape camera, newest base iPhone chip, pro motion, the new iPad Air speakers, thinner design (not as thin as iPad Pro M4 but thinner than now), and maybe Center stage. Perfect iPad mini 8
I bought the 127GB Mini 7 (64GB was not enough on the 6). I'm coming from a 12.9 Gen 1 Pro (2015), and the mini is four times faster. I would love a 120Hz OLED screen, but I'm OK with the current screen. The reason they didn't change the shape etc., was that I see most minis in restaurants and other business applications, and they've spent a significant amount on docks and other hardware, and a 60Hz screen is OK for menus...
I got the mini 6 as soon as it came out and now I can't see myself going back to a bigger sized tablet. I'm not sure I'll upgrade or wait for some sort of mini pro.
I use my Mini for notetaking and not for media consumption. For my next upgrade, I'm considering an e-ink device - they now come with color screens, some have the Google Play Store so you can use apps such as Kindle and Kobo, and the pencil doesn't need to be charged. Also the device can last for weeks on a single charge.
Love my iPad mini! I'm getting the series 7. I can sell my iPad mini 6 now and get just under half the full price of the ipad mini 7 (if I wait that price will drop I'm sure). And it means I get 128gb instead of 64gb, 3 more years of updates, a much faster processor that can run apple intelligence as it's rolled out, which will have a higher resale value than my series 6, has a fee other improvements like connectivity on WiFi and Bluetooth. And my iPad mini 6 accessories, case and keyboard will work. Sure a better screen would have been nice but that's not an issue for me with my iPad mini 6. What I was hoping for was wireless charging.
The Mini is my favorite Apple Product right now. I love the size and format it’s so easy to carry around and the image and features are excellent. I’m going to order the 7th soon.
just worth mentioning; if you go onto Apple's website and compare the mini 6 to the A17 mini, the changes are very negligible: - Apple Intelligence - Pencil Pro over Pencil 2 - HDR 4 vs HDR 3 Photos - A17 Pro vs A15 Bionic - Wifi 6E vs Wifi 6 - 128gb vs 64gb base storgage - configurable up to 512gb vs 256gb - Apple Pencil Hover - Bluetooth 5.3 vs Bluetooth 5 - A17 drops the Nano Sim for E-Sim only at this point i'd genuinely consider browsing the certified refurbished section ..but when i looked i could get the mini 6 in purple with 256GB for £459, whereas the A17 in the same configuration is only £140 more at £599 - for something i'll likely keep ahold of for the better part of a decade that saving doesn't seem too worth it if in a couple years my phone has Apple Intelligence, the mini 6 might start to feel old or behind when Siri isn't as functional
I don’t care about rear camera’s at all. However, everything else I want amounts to making it a mini Pro. I want pro motion and face id. If they could do that - I’d all in.
A Mini Pro is what I believe everybody wants. I bought the Mini 6 on launch and the main killers for me were jelly scrolling and 60hz screen. If they solve the jelly and were to put pro-motion on it at least (not even an OLED/Mini-LED screen) then I'd be interested to compliment my 12.9 M1 Pro.
Honestly, the iPad mini 6 is as perfect for what it is. It’s a little take anywhere sketchbook. All that power of the new ones is wasted on the form factor. Anytime my projects get too big, it’s time to air drop it onto the pro. 120hz is over rated. 90% of the things on the iPad aren’t even above 60hz, if it was such an issue than the experience of going from video content to scrolling would be jarring. There really isn’t anything I want from a new iPad mini. Although everything in the 7 is just bits and pieces from other devices, but it adds up. I think it’s a nice tablet. Definitely class leading in its form factor. I won’t be upgrading, but if I was to buy new now, I would def go for the 7.
Please add face id & promotion display in next gen ipad mini thats the only thing missing. Reports are that even iphone se will be getting an face id. & all standard iphones will get promotion display.
The iPad Mini is popular with pilots and for use as a portable POS for artisan businesses. Much like how Apple kept the MacBook Air 2014, iPad Touch and now the iPhone SE around because it had a certain user group, I think the iPad Mini is floating marginally above maintenance mode. I know if Apple kill it, a lot of general aviation pilots will be bummed.

😂 I’ll look out for that in future. I keep thinking, oh I need to ask people to comment or they won’t, and then forget if I’ve already asked within a split second. Thanks either way! 🥳🤘🏼
I’m getting one but waiting a bit. My dreams of using my aged Pro 9.7” as a laptop replaced have never been realized and now it legacy. For my web browsing, reading, and content consumption, the mini is a perfect size.
Coming from an iPad 5, yeah it’s enough - a17, pencil pro, better Wi-Fi, larger storage, bigger screen and more. Pity on the reviewers who look for massive upgrades for each iteration, no manufacture does that only rarely.
I literally passed over the iPad Mini because it has been kneecapped by Apple. I went with a Samsung Z Fold instead because it supports Samsung DeX on external displays, making the most of the hardware's capabilities. There's little point in having a powerful chipset if you can't do much with it. The Z Fold also gives me a 120Hz OLED.
Does this new iPad not support the stage manager feature on an external screen? I know that’s not as powerful as DeX, but I’m curious. The only other iPads to support that have been the M-series ones, so I don’t know if even this chip can do it. I really would want to use it that way.
I think a large part of the problem with where iPad mini is Right now is that it used to be more of a budget friendly iPad and now they’re trying to make it more like a pro Also holding back On some pro features making people have a harder time, justifying buying it.
Yeah, I thought that was the angle he was going for when he started listing his “3 possibilities.” Not a big omission, seeing how that particular iPhone is no longer mentioned in rumors (meaning it’s most likely at least 5 years out), but I think it is worth mentioning.
iPads are built to last a long time and get great Apple support for years...making them a product that people hold on to for a while. So the Mini 7 may not 'wow' Mini 6 users. I've never owned a Mini and am psyched about getting this one. If they stay on this pattern of only refreshing the Mini every couple of years...I'm fine with that.
I was also waiting on the iPad mini refresh,.. but for me, I'm disappointed in 2 things:... That big chunky black bezel border is still there. And even though 7th gen got USB-C and DisplayPort out support, as far as I can see it does not support the external screen as an independent screen. Those things would probably make it a "must buy" for me,. but without them, I'll probably spend my money on other upgrades I need.
The thing is about the IPad is that the Pro and Air do the exact same thing. The M series chip has so much overhead that is never used by IpadOS. They need to redo the IPad line. Pro, Base (the new air), and a mini.
iPhone 13 mini with power bank for comms and hotspot, iPad 7 mini (Apple Intel) with keyboard case and Trackpad 2 for basic word, excel and entertainment on the go and the upcoming Mac mini for my home set up is all I need. The mini 7 is on order and here’s hoping the new Mac mini comes out this month. If they cancel the iPad mini I’ll just get a Pro Max in a few years and turn two portable devices into one, I’d rather keep the mini and get a standard size Pro phone when the time comes to turn in the 13 mini though.
Got to have better battery. Like a lot better. Same problem with the iPhone one mini. I liked the concept but in practice people did not buy them mostly because of battery.
This iPad would have been an instant purchase for me if it had a landscape orientation for the front-facing camera, like the other iPad refreshes. The portrait camera is a deal breaker for me.
I’ve seen people using their iPhones as a device for their scripts when talking to an audience but the iPad mini should be what they are using for that, as it much larger and clearer for that purpose rather than the iPhone. It’s not so big to make it difficult to hold and use, for a period of time, but large enough to make using it as a teleprompter/script too see the words clearly. And as mentioned y others in the comments, it’s perfect for pilots too, as it’s not too big for the documents pilots need in flight. I used to own a mini way back in the day and found it great as I could stick it in my jacket map pocket for reading books on when I went to the pub but now, I need to larger screen as my eyes are not as good now as they were back then. 🏴
Hell yes! I have been waiting to upgrade my mini 4. Though I feel bad for peeps that recently paid 499.00 for the 64 gig mini 6. P.S. the mini 6 case is on eBay for 25.00. It is compatible with the mini 7. Bought a new one in burnt orange before people wise up and the prices shoot up!
I ordered the Mini 7. The A17 pro, 128 Gig, Wifi 6E, and BT 5.3 were the main factors. All worthwhile improvements over the Mini 6 that Apple gave me $230 trade in. I do not think OLED would be worth $100 or more.
I love the iPad Mini and it has been the most constant device in my life since the iPad Mini 6 rolled out and the 5 before that. I have bounced back and forth between different size iPad Pros, IPhone pro/pro max, and even MacBook Air and Pro. The iPad Mini has always been there. I carry it most places I go. When I get home, I put my phone down and everything is done on the iPad Mini from reading, gaming, and watching TV. It would kill me if they ever discontinued it. I would definitely look to Android for something to replace it and the Lenovo Legion already has my attention for gaming purposes. They just don’t have a US version. I ordered a maxed out iPad Mini 7 so I guess I will be good for a few years if they ever kill it. Its main problem is that it’s too close to a large phone and too close to a larger tablet. Apple doesn’t seem to care about it but maybe that is because we, the people, don’t care about it. I don’t know if it is cost or what.
The iPad Mini is great but the only issue is that the iPad Air has more power for only $100 more. Only reason why it’s still available is because businesses want something bigger than a phone but still easy to hold to run apps for day to day operations. Have seen this everywhere from restaurants, cafes, banks and airlines.
Access to the A17 Pro and the Apple Pencil Pro for $500 is kinda crazy though. I'd take it. I don't need OLED to play Resident Evil on the go or to learn digital art.
government and industrial sales are what will keep it in the line. But the very fact those sales happen are what actually keep it from frequent or substantial updates. Those segments don't want radical updates as their replacement cycles are slower from their how procurement budgets work.

While it is a small market, I think a lot of business appreciate this device, and Apple has been trying to keep their foot in the door for business and education.
@@ADLRUNIT pilots too!
For Health care workers, physicians, nurses etc. The mini is the ideal device because of its pocket-portability.
I have a iPad 5. I dropped something on it’s screen and battery is dying. Been waiting for the update. I’ll be getting myself one for Christmas. Not everybody needs pro chips and a zillion bytes . Me included
Instead of trying to power what people already do, a lot of the refreshes in the past few years feel like trying to justify the extra power they added
If I could use my mini as a phone (using earbuds of course) and set up my Apple Watch with it. Perfect
It really isn't far off eh !
This is it for me too. Would upgrade immediately!!!! Otherwise my iPad mini six and I will stay in love until the day she dies 😅.
Sounds like you need a Z Fold.

Yeah exactly this! Good point on the brightness with LCD.

7% of iPad sales = 7% of iPad R&D effort. Simple.

I loved my iPad mini but I think if they aren’t going to change the bezels and make a bigger change to the processor the iPad mini will sadly fail.
I got the mini 6 about a month ago and don’t regret it one bit!
I think 120 hz oled panel, more bright.
A18 would more awesome but A17 pro also ok.
Adding a paper feel screen protector will for sure get it to the next level for online teaching , I use it for an IPAD pro ... 💜
In Australia the iPad mini 7 with 256gb & wifi and cellular costs $1229. That is insanely expensive!!!!
I am replacing my iPad mini 4 (2015) very excited! The 4 still works but we got a 0% interest so I am happy! Much lighter .0.65 ounce!
I would have waited a year if I had known this was coming. Instead I wanted to get rid of my Mini 5 that was aging. So I got the Mini 6 last December. Now only 10 months later I’m going to trade it in and get the new one and stick with it.
The production quality of these recent videos mate!! 🥰
Thank you bud! Mostly it has nothing to do with me, lol.
I pre-ordered one because my mini6 is insanely slow now and has no storage. I am obsessed with this form factor - I hope they keep iterating!
I was at the store today and randomly saw an iPad Mini in display for the first time. Tried it a bit and fell in love with it, it has the best dimensions and also the best/comfortable bezel size out there. This product is a true gem. PS. you can also type easily on it
i used to own an ipad mini 4 from 2015 to 2021 i used it for everything, reading, studying, consuming media, and gaming. it was the perfect size for me as i have small hands. i recently got the ipad 10th gen, however, i really miss the smaller size of the mini since it can be more portable. i sometimes want to bring a smaller bag but my 10th gen can’t fit so i have to switch bags. i hope apple doesn’t discontinue the mini series as i see myself choosing the smaller form factor more
I will buy one, I have an Air 4 but before I only had iPad minis and I honestly miss the smaller form factor

Third and most important, only buy this product if you can afford:
1. The $45 price for a matte screen protector because that is not cheap.
2. Stylus tip replacements, because the apple pencil stylus is not made for rough surfaces and it would wear out much quicker than usual.

Don’t encourage them to increase the size. 😢
@@YeahTheMitchs Agree don’t want bigger device just little bigger screen , but device won’t get bigger if bezel shrinks about half the size

Everyone knows why its almost the perfect device and thats why Apple will try their best to give that final feature as late as possible
Slimmer bezels, landscape camera, newest base iPhone chip, pro motion, the new iPad Air speakers, thinner design (not as thin as iPad Pro M4 but thinner than now), and maybe Center stage. Perfect iPad mini 8
I just got an iPad Air 11 inch a couple weeks ago. The iPad mini looks cool, but I don’t know if I’d like it
I bought the 127GB Mini 7 (64GB was not enough on the 6).
That's a fair point for the enterprise use case. Just feels like such a missed opportunity!
Hell, I’m still happy with my A15 iPad mini fr😌🤞💯
I got the mini 6 as soon as it came out and now I can't see myself going back to a bigger sized tablet. I'm not sure I'll upgrade or wait for some sort of mini pro.
If they put a 120Hz OLED screen on it, how long do you think the battery would last?
I’m going to order the 7th soon.
just worth mentioning; if you go onto Apple's website and compare the mini 6 to the A17 mini, the changes are very negligible:
- Apple Intelligence
- Pencil Pro over Pencil 2
- HDR 4 vs HDR 3 Photos
- A17 Pro vs A15 Bionic
- Wifi 6E vs Wifi 6
- 128gb vs 64gb base storgage
- configurable up to 512gb vs 256gb
- Apple Pencil Hover
- Bluetooth 5.3 vs Bluetooth 5
- A17 drops the Nano Sim for E-Sim only
at this point i'd genuinely consider browsing the certified refurbished section ..but when i looked i could get the mini 6 in purple with 256GB for £459, whereas the A17 in the same configuration is only £140 more at £599 - for something i'll likely keep ahold of for the better part of a decade that saving doesn't seem too worth it if in a couple years my phone has Apple Intelligence, the mini 6 might start to feel old or behind when Siri isn't as functional
Apple should refresh the mini lines maybe every 3 years or so and just make around 250,000 units or however many they sold with the 12 and 13 mini
I don’t care about rear camera’s at all. However, everything else I want amounts to making it a mini Pro. I want pro motion and face id. If they could do that - I’d all in.
I was thinking 7% was actually pretty good considering this is quite pricy for a smaller device that doesn't have all the flagship features
Great video!! Any chance you could share the thumbnail wallpaper?
The Ipad Mini is the only Ipad i bought every new release. Easy to hold and carry anywhere.
Hi just to confirm chip m2 is more capable than A17 pro¿ It is worth to trade iPad Pro m2 to this iPad mini for portability and size ?
That can only be your decision! If size and portability is more important than the other specs, then sure!
Slim bezelz, oled, 120hz, m2 chip and 9 in screen would be amazing
Then people would be complaining it cost 700 dollars
What would do it for me? Same specs as most recent iPad Pro, smaller bezels with a little bit more screen estate.
I have had 2 Ipad mini and love the device!! However with the minor updates I am not sure if I will upgrade or wait.
Geez. What type of upgrades were you expecting???
Add stage manager support I’m all in. It would be an instant laptop replacement device. The other iPads are too big to compete with a MacBook Air.
I ordered mine already and I believe it’s it’s going to be good.
The sales isn´t there because everyone is waiting for "the big upgrade". Sadly looking at numbers and knowing your customers is not the same thing.

I’m getting one but waiting a bit. My dreams of using my aged Pro 9.7” as a laptop replaced have never been realized and now it legacy. For my web browsing, reading, and content consumption, the mini is a perfect size.
I ordered a 256gb Mini 7 to replace my gen 6 as it's battery will self discharge and I wanted the A17/Ai...
@@abubakrakram6208 it's not being advertised as supporting it so I assume it doesn't.
I think a large part of the problem with where iPad mini is Right now is that it used to be more of a budget friendly iPad and now they’re trying to make it more like a pro Also holding back On some pro features making people have a harder time, justifying buying it.
and for the record ..the iPad mini is something i want to move to, currently rocking an iPad Air 3, and previously had the original iPad 4th gen
I’m curious if they’ll sunset the iPad mini in place of the foldable iPhone they’re rumored to be working on so they don’t compete with eachother
Yeah it'll be interesting to see.
But then again they have the iPad Pro which could be a Macbook Air replacement, if they let it !
That would make a lot of sense across most of their products nowadays - 2 year update cycles !
I ordered a iPad mini 7. I use them for work and reading manga while not draining my phone. I don’t have access to chargers at work.
I thought about that recently then decided to throw a portable battery charger in my bag - but the bigger screen on an iPad is nicer for sure !
Do you know if the Apple folio case for the Mini 6 will fit the Mini 7?
