Since I came to Orthodoxy and started praying the Psalms my perspective on life has changed so much. The Word is truly an extraordinary gift.

I was born with brain damage that causes me to have unexplainable anxiety. It’s been 8 years I have no social life I lost all my friends, my job, the things I once loved, my passions, I don’t even recognize the man in the mirror anymore. I wish I could say I could fight my anxiety but I’ve been in treatment for 6 years and I haven’t gotten better. My brain damage is worsening my cognitive functioning and I fear that the end might be near for me. I still have faith in GOD regardless of what happens but there’s no end to my suffering.

I'm sorry Carlo, I feel you. After three TBI's and excessive substance abuse and alcoholism... I'm just not the same...I got off my meds too, so everyday is insane spiritual warfare, almost too much to bare at times. Hang in there buddy, find your strength through non resistance and heavy prayer.

I had to walk away from the person I love. I don't know what's going on now. I'm lost and I feel unbearable pain everywhere in my body. But I still choose to trust in the lord for that's all I'm certain about.
I was crippled by a crooked surgeon 6.5 years ago and got no justice, was abandoned and mocked by my family, etc. etc. Never realized how much Psalm 38 would eventually describe my life. Thank you for posting this, truly healing in the only way that matters.☦

Outside the fact Jesus didn't sin, I feel like this psalm is definitely prophetic to the suffering our Lord went through! He really did feel as if the Lord had forsaken Him.. but three days later...

Keep up the good fight, the Lord fights our battles, if we are humble and don't depend on our strength he will be victorious in our battles- you keep fighting, on days you can't resist sin fight and accept within yourself that God will overcome your shortcomings and that you're created for better and holier purposes! I was like you once. Just know that the pull you feel isn’t of you, it’s the call of the Holy Spirit. Such journeys always begin with passing fascination, deep introspection on what one seeks or longing for that which you cannot receive any other way.
In any case I hope you accept that call and I hope you accept it faster than I. I felt it for many years, pushed it off, I can tell you I paid for such folly. It is not wise to disregard providence, but then again what man is truly wise save the one who knows himself to be a fool?

I’m such a big sinner why am I always falling back into sin even though I want to care and love Jesus but it’s like my body just dislikes me and it’s making me crumble inside because whenever I sin I just become dead inside and I hate myself and I pray for him to forgive me but I don’t actually feel like nothing has changed and I’m trying but I’m just falling back into sin again what do I do?
Keep fighting brother like your life depends on it, because it does.
Anytime you feel even the beginning of temptation immediatly think about that emptiness and ask yourself is it worth that small time of pleasure? It never is
Romans 7:21-25 NKJV - 21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God-through Jesus Christ our Lord!
This answer might not suffice but to be honest with you, I face the same struggle constantly. But, regardless of what you've done, keep on fighting and pushing for Christ. Fight the good fight of faith and continue seeking Him.

I have major headaches trying to argue with people that won't listen because of their blinding arrogance, it's sad that they can't see the beauty of the Bible. And they disregard all the people who prayed to God in Psalms. And I feel like I will never win an argument, it's like talking a brick wall.

I do not care if he saves me I simply ask how much longer will this bloodshed continue. How can a single drop of an innocent child's blood ever be justified. I know I'm a sinner I do not ask for forgiveness but I ask simply for the healing of the world. Yet this endless cycle continues. Corpse after corpse pile up and I just question if you feel guilty. Do you weep for us was there truly no other way. I am perfectly fine with taking all of the burdens of this world. However I just see his death was in vain. Almost 300 years later one of the bloodiest war in history was waged in his name. Is that what he would have wanted, is this what he would have wanted?
