My 24 ultra was delivered today, I've no intention of returning it, people who think it's not an upgrade are deluded. Certainly wouldn't swap it for a pixel.
Another mistake was offering different things like a free watch in Europe but not in the US. That might have tipped me in favor of upgrading now. I see no reason not to wait until Black Friday or early next year to get this phone since now you get 7 years of support. I'm also eyeing the cheaper foldable I'm hearing about.
I did pre-order S24U 1tb on 23 January once it's delivered i will claim the Galaxy Watch6 LTE with free Multisim for a year and a €240 cashback NL (EU)
Something to keep in mind is that most of the AI features on the phone run locally and there will never be a subscription for those. Samsung was talking about the AI features that run the calculations elsewhere and in my opinion it’s unreasonable to expect those to be free forever. AI takes resources
This is what I'm hoping for... At least the editing and things like slow motion whej touched ai should still be free, right? ....hopefully. What I think will be subscription based is something like live translation.
@@KRNNT- exactly my thoughts. Plus I believe they are just going to continue adding AI features and I’m sure a lot of the fancier ones won’t run locally. It’s probably more about covering future potential costs
I live in Panama and I already got the phone. We don't really get non of the great trade in deals, freebies or non of the good stuff. With that said, we really don't care about those things, nor any kind of subscriptions as we wont be paying non of that. This is a great phone and if you only buy it for those AI features, maybe you should try something else.
It certainly is a great phone; the dynamics of phone uses in the US are generally very different compared to elsewhere; AI is becoming integral to our everyday lives here, which is why all brands are attaching to this new trend. Those who don't need the extra bells and whistles of this phone will probably skip the service and/or the phone.
Agreed....samsung have contempt for their audience/purchasers. I think future google apps will be user friendly on samsung phones with FREE AI options....so no thanks samsung. I'm sticking with my s23 ultra.......
im kind of hesitant about the AI features as they will be collecting even more data to google 🫠 s24 ultra is a great phone, finally with a flat screen. I got the s23+ and will not be upgrading, even tho I like the new colours, but it's not enough reason to upgrade
What I angry about paid AI feature, is that no device reviewer youtuber etc, no one explained about this. Literally no one talk about this for 7 days straight since it's presented. Because looking at their website is stated bellow their web. I believe that tech reviewer take a good look at the website
Yeah, I've never heard you have a "very" bad comment about Samsung apart from the Tab S7 FE. But this really takes the cake, it's such a shady move from Samsung, they literally advertised the whole S24 lineup with AI as their "new" "innovative" perk to just have people to pay for it??? That just doesn't make sense. If the Exynos version of the S24&S24+ doesn't live up to Samsung's benchmarks or even come close to it, it kind of seems that Samsung is trying to cut costs and one might say money hungry (kinda reminds me of Apple 😅😅). Kinda disappointed ngl 😞
I consider this good news. I can avoid those new AI features simply by not paying a subscription? Sign me up! I saw these reviews, I'm not going to miss a single one of those features.
My take on this is, yes it is a rip-off as they did not make any explanations during the keynote about the "charge" on the AI after 2025. Also, the AI features are awesome but you are correct, google still holds the crown of being the smartest phone out there. The s24U is an excellent phone, the refinement on the display, making it flat with anti reflection is a good decision, the new 50mp is a great one and the processor that is tuned for Galaxy has been doing great based on the reviews. You are one of those TechReviewers who's honest by providing facts. Keep doing what you do, Ivan! Wishing you success this 2024 personally and to your channel.
I don't get the premise of the video. 'If they come out ands said wew'd be paying for it, that would be fine'. THey did. THat's how EVERYONE now knows its a paid for service after 2025.....
Honestly suprised at how little people talk about this... ive only seen 2 youtubers so far (including this channel) that talked about the scummy fine print. With how theyre blabbering about ai this ai that, its such a dick move to put it into a subscription service ANDDD putting it on a fine print. I mean, if you take away the galaxy ai, theres really not much s24u can offer in terms of upgrade from s23u. The only thing i could think off right on top off my head is 50mp telephoto and snapdragon 8 gen 3. 😐 That said, i still preordered s24u because i need an upgrade from my galaxy a52s 😅

Yessss that why I staying with my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone 📱 👍🙏

never heard of a free watch in PL (EU), we had buds2 and about a 100€ for not trading in a device. Also we have exynos on s24 and plus

I'll hold to my s23 ultra, these A.I features are coming with one ui 6.1. A.I is cool but it's not must for me.
No one will charged a subscription until someone charges a subscription, then everyone will charge a subscription.😂
Lol facts
They are claiming that the storage upgrade is free. But with the $100 price increase, it's really not free. They got us.
Wait until Apple follows the AI trend and starts charging. It would be the norm in a few years.

Same here

I wonder what kind of price range will be presented 🤔
I pre ordered the S24 for my wife; I have no doubt, she is getting the best phone in its class. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I cancelled the s24 ultra, think I will get the Pixel 8 Pro or One Plus 12.. Sad but I just wont buy into Samsung's shenanigans.
I'm thinking of doing the same. Based on reviews the s23 ultra has better zoom than s24 ultra
no get an iPhone we just got stolen device prediction, Samsung and android phones. Don’t have that iPhone is the boss around here
will Apple do the same when AI comes to iPhone?
Very good question 👀👀
@@IvanKam11 I mean they paywalled the satellite thing.
I believe that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone is really good enough for me 😊

i was uncomfortable with the size and then i saw the phone in your hand. dude is your hands bigger or is that 24ultra smaller.💀

That's shady. I have a 10+. I think I'm going to send back the 24ultra when it comes.
The option to Decline will be available
