My fiance reads coffee grounds. He was taught while growing up so he is super quick at it. He reads mine but usually asks me what I see in the cup and helps me to see things by pointing certain shapes out. I'm pretty sure he is also psychic because he has been point on at predicting family and friends future endeavors, without really know them super well. Its freaky. I'd like to get him to mediate and practice at it because I think he has a real gift. He also interprets dreams but he's only been practicing for a few years and he still isn't really good at it lol. But I do tarot, and I'm beginning runes.

My great grandmother could read tea leaves. Everyone in the area used to visit her to get their leaves read. She also cured her cancer after being told she only had weeks to live. But she was the 7th daughter of the 7th daughter and that was always thought to be powerful I think

I remember by mom always reading books about magic, reading cards and using a spiritual board but she doesn’t do it anymore. She also had a lot of faries, gnomes (sometimes really creepy ones) all over the house. Things would always go missing and I would see her scolding them, and then things would just appear out of nowhere. I haven’t really asked her why she did what she did or why she had them in the first place.
Now my dad told me once that his aunts where witches but that they were mean and vengeful. I don’t know why but I feel so attracted to witch craft but my dad doesn’t let me get into it. 😢 I feel that I am already old enough to decide for myself. I really enjoy your videos because I get this other side of witches that my dad totally refuses to believe because of his past experiences.

That's what a lot of people do in Greece (not necessarily wiccans, christians do it too), but with coffee :o (turkish coffee to be exact..) . I just thought the connection and how this tradition has passed down is interesting..

could you do a video of your day-to-day life? Like a way to show us a normal day for you? I'd love to get a more insight on your general life.
I find it interesting that you say it's more difficult than other divinations because I tried lots of different ways (tarot, pendulums, meditation, palm reading) and none of them really became something i could stick to. I couldn't remember all of the cards for tarot and found palm reading overwhelming. I randomly picked up a tea reading book one day for something to do and the first 2 readings I did it felt incredibly natural and i got very accurate readings both times as well. The third time, i tried to read a friends but we kept getting incredibly distracted and she wanted to try and read them as well so we kept conflicting with what we were seeing. Super fascinating how different divinations fit people differently. Great video btw!!

Soft Birds basically use loose leaf tea that is a little bit chunkier and bigger than normal tea. it doesn't matter what brand it is :)

I'm not a Wiccan, however, I am a pagan (animist and panentheist druid) and I am just beginning my path in witchcraft. Tasseography and use of pendulums (not sure of the name) are two types of divination that I would like to learn. Thank you for your insight on this. I believe there are infinite number of futures. Divination can pinpoint on one of those possible futures. The future will ultimately shift as we say/do things and interact with other things and people. So I believe divination can predict a possible future--not THE future.
As you said there are so many ways to intepret the results of a reading.
This has definitely given me a lot to think about. Thank you!

In any scrying divination method and technique of interpretation is unbiased awareness that gives you messages depending what you're asking for. Messages can always alter but always general not specific messages. Thank you Harmony Nice.

Thanks for posting this! I'm writing a novel and there is a scene involving reading tea leaves. This was supremely helpful for my research!
Tried the basic future reading out for the first time, and...it could have gone better...
First, my tea leaves were much, much bigger than recommended: some of the chunkiest loose-leaf I've ever seen, but it was my first time buying so I didn't really know better. Tried to drink it and it was super sour and the sweetener didn't help much. Plus, parts of the loose-leaf wouldn't float to the bottom and I felt like it was a sign that this wasn't going to be a good reading.
I ended up just having to drain the tea into the sink and try to continue the reading from there. The rest of the reading was normal, but I completely messed up the first part so I'm not super confident with the reading itself.
At the rim of the cup, I saw a fish hook. However, upon further research, what I was actually seeing was an arrow, and it usually means bad news from the direction it was pointing. It was pointing northwest, and I immediately thought of my family's moving situation and I was pretty sure that it was talking about how terrible it's been for them.
In the middle, I saw multiple forms of rabbits, whether it was just a head or the whole body. I was very excited to interpret this, and I came to the conclusion that since I saw many rabbits, it meant that I will have prosperity and fruitfulness in my work in the near future.
Finally, at the bottom, there were two huge symbols, which I thought was exciting since it's the far future and you usually don't get very clear readings from it. I saw a flock of birds and the form of a dancer. However, the dancer was curled up in a protective stance, as if someone had hurt her. After thinking about it and reading on both of their meanings, I came to the conclusion that something is going to hurt my happiness, but once I lose it, it will give me the freedom to fly.
Very cool reading! Not sure how legit it is since the first part was botched but really cool to see how tasseography works.

i have a story to share.
so one day i was drinking soup form a bowl (yes this is a little pathetic hahahaha) and as i was finishing i notice something like a dog pawn and i drink just a little bit more finishing it and now it turned into a human fingertip. i think that’s funny and when i scroll through instagram it appears an ad about dogs, and i just don’t know why but i feel like it could be related to the shapes i saw. i begin scrolling through the posts of this instagram page and they are like a looooot and it never ends and i don’t know what i’m exactly looking for but i keep searching. i’m almost giving up but then i finally reach the first post of this page and you what it was? a necklace that had a human fingertips and the dog pawn and they were exactly like i saw (i know that there’s not a lot to be diferente but it was the same hand- like the right hand for example, i don’t remember). idk if it meant anything but it was a big coincidence.
another story that i have is that me and my family were in a road trip and we were searching for a restaurant to eat. i was looking to the clouds and i see a fish spine but like in a specific position. when we finally find a restaurant (and i didn’t know which one was) i see the restaurant front with the name and the logo you know and it was just like what i’d seen in the clouds.

It's projection of your own thoughts, opinions and experiences, which tends to fit well with what you happen to "see in the tea leaves", which is just interpretation from your own perspective.

I did something similar to this with wax on New Year's Day, based on the Finnish tin melting tradition. I really enjoyed interpreting their shapes and meanings. I'll definitely look into this as well; I love loose leaf tea so I think it'll be a good fit for me
It would be cool to go to a paint-your-own-pottery place and paint your own fortune-telling tasseography cup with symbols that mean a lot to you.

Woah dude. When you got a snake in the special cup reading it totally weirded me out because when you saw "waves" in your other reading I had immediately interpreted the one as a snake. I've never actually practiced Wicca or witchcraft before but that kind of was just like wow. I wonder if people ever do two readings with different cups like in the video and sort of compare them just as part of their practice? Something like that where it seemed like a snake came up twice would be something I'd keep an eye on.

in greece we do the same with coffee!!! and i read it some times!! It has more shapes and fingures in the cup than tea!!! You should try it ! Go to a greek or turkish store and buy greek or turkish coffee!! learn how to boil it and then do exactly what you do with tea!!! Sorry for my English...

The way I see it, tea leaf reading is less about what the future holds and more how you see the future (especially if you're reading for yourself) because every image can be seen differently and it's the way you interpret them that determines the reading
I've also seen using the cream on the top of coffee or cocoa...the patterns on the swirls. Even water or oil in a bowl. Very interesting! Thank you for sharing Harmony! :-) *🌹
