When I bought my pendulum(crystal) the vendor suggested passing my hand under the row of hanging pendulums and one of them started swaying pretty vigorously, my sister and her friend saw it as well
when I want to a shop to inform myself about pendulums they told me that it's one of the ways of letting the pendulum choose you. I still haven't got mine but I'm thinking of returning and trying to know which one suits me. but as I was saying, there are lots of different ways of knowing which one is going to be your pendulum and that one is pretty cool actually

I'm not sure if it's accepted as fact yet (I think it might be) but there's significant research to suggest that pendulums move due to the ideomotor phenomenon, which is the micromovements caused by your subconscious. I tend to believe that the answers come through the mind either via the collective unconscious (with relation to the akashic records, although I don't work much with them specifically) or via spirits from the other realm passing them on to you. Great video, reminded me that I haven't used my pendulum for ages, and not regularly for years, I've been too preoccupied with tarot. Definitely need to pick it up again if only to tell me which coat to wear bc only the spirits know what English weather is going to do lmao.
I tend to believe the ideomotor phenomenom because I like a scientific explanation to my magic (beeest of boooth woooorld). I think that our soul, spirit or subconscious is connected to the universe and our spirit guides (and our ancestors, everything), so it would make sense that they send their message via our subconscious with the micromovements. The power is within ourselves, not outside.
i myself believe that whatever we wish to be controlling the movements IS controlling the movements. if you are directly asking to connect to your higher-self for example, i think the movements will come from your subconscious. but i also think they can be used to communicate with guides, and as a form of necromancy to communicate with spirits that are either earthbound or spirits that have crossed over. and i think its almost like that spirit combining their energy with ours, using our energy with their own, to create movements! im a medium as well and often use my pendulums when channeling spirits that have crossed over. i always ask questions as well that i do not know the answer to. another fun thing is some spirits have given me a movement for when they find something funny or want to laugh, like if they are joking around!! which is enough confirmation for me to know that our beliefs are what manifest into reality for ourselves :) x

I use the pendulum to help with anxiety... I usually always wear a necklace with a crystal and when I start freaking out about whatever I take off the necklace and use it as a pendulum to reassure me that everything is actually ok and there's no real reason to panic

I asked my pendulum to say yes and immediately it went back and forth like a nod and then I asked the pendulum to say no and it went from side to side like shaking your head. Goosebumps! I’ve been reading cards for years among other divinations but never considered using a pendulum until I suddenly wanted one and it’s the best decision ever.

One thing Harmony didn’t mention but was brought to my attention when I was first learning how to connect with my pendulum, is don’t mess with the pendulum by asking trick questions. It won’t give you a good answer and you’ll have to work a lot harder for it to really connect with you. Just like all forms of divination, have respect for the craft and the forces that be.

Let me tell a little true story of my life. I use pendulum once for personal gain, (oh, yes, I was so young and inexperienced and very-very newbie wiccan). I just try to win the lottery. Yes. Really. On all of the numbers (90) I use my pendulum, they worked just on 5 number (yeah, its 90/5 lottery). Next day I checked my ticket. ALL of the winner numbers was next of my numbers. I accepted and learned the lesson on a lifetime: No personal benefit and magick is not for play. Harmony, your channel is amazing, as you too are.

I got my pendulum at a crystal shop an hour away from I live. I don’t know what drew me too it, but I just felt like it was calling me. I wasn’t going to get it at first but then I went back and got it later that day. Apparently they had just gotten that pendulum in the day before and put it out that morning.

I'm honestly surprised but this actually worked for me instantly. I have something on my desk that is like a pendulum but it's been here and I look at it everyday for the past year. I used it and first asked it to show me yes and no. After I saw two different movements I asked it a question I knew the answer to "is it wet outside" and "is it try outside" because it had just rained. It worked so I asked it a few more questions I knew the answers to and it's accurate! Thanks Harmony!

I have one pendulum and it's an Arrowhead necklace. I used to use a necklace but it got lost. I'd like to have a crystal one someday but this is what I work with for now. I don't connect with it as well but I still have a connection. I cleanse it in rain water when it's starting to let other energies cling to it. Literally anything works as a pendulum. Pendulums were my first entrance into witchcraft besides meditation and they're super easy to use when you get used to them. Don't let a lack of resources stop you from your practice!
Your mind does know and that's why. It's actually something we talked about in psychology. If you think side to side/up and down, the pendulum, without you trying, will move that way due to your hand listening to the brain. Therefore, in your subconscious, if you know the answer deep in your brain, your hand will listen and move in that way. So yes, this is a real thing. Just for the skeptics here.

Sometimes when I have a question but no actual pendulum I use a dry tea bag with a string. Works in a pinch!!

Enchanted Endeavours has been an invaluable resource to me and my introduction to Wicca. I have felt drawn to Wicca for years but never scratched the surface because I felt so overwhelmed by all the information out there. This series I feel is informative and fun and breaks things down into really easy to digest chunks and has sparked the directions in which I want to further research. Thank you so much Harmony. Madison Paige that’s a great idea ! it’s a really misunderstood topic as most people tend to believe in the stereotype that they take the form of a physical animal ((typically a pet)) when in reality they’re actually spirits. interesting stuff !

These next two are by the same woman, and again I would recommend watching more of her, for me, she was the first one that helped me along and introduced me to many new concepts I still use today, and she's a Wiccan vs a pagan so if you a Wiccan that might prove to be beneficial (and if not I would still recommend watching both pagans and Wiccans, it gives you a much broader perspective and different points of view so it allows you to better form your own conclusions more fully, and with more knowledge behind it)

I asked my pendulum to say yes and immediately it went back and forth like a nod and then I asked the pendulum to say no and it went from side to side like shaking your head. Goosebumps! I’ve been reading cards for years among other divinations but never considered using a pendulum until I suddenly wanted one and it’s the best decision ever.
Ahh I'm just looking into getting into wicca and I just tried it and it gave me real answers this is so exciting for me! Some of the answers weren't what I wanted but I'm glad I tried it and I'll definitely be using mine more!!

One thing Harmony didn’t mention but was brought to my attention when I was first learning how to connect with my pendulum, is don’t mess with the pendulum by asking trick questions. It won’t give you a good answer and you’ll have to work a lot harder for it to really connect with you. Just like all forms of divination, have respect for the craft and the forces that be.

Let me tell a little true story of my life. I use pendulum once for personal gain, (oh, yes, I was so young and inexperienced and very-very newbie wiccan). I just try to win the lottery. Yes. Really. On all of the numbers (90) I use my pendulum, they worked just on 5 number (yeah, its 90/5 lottery). Next day I checked my ticket. ALL of the winner numbers was next of my numbers. I accepted and learned the lesson on a lifetime: No personal benefit and magick is not for play.

I got my pendulum at a crystal shop an hour away from I live. I don’t know what drew me too it, but I just felt like it was calling me. I wasn’t going to get it at first but then I went back and got it later that day. Apparently they had just gotten that pendulum in the day before and put it out that morning.

I'm honestly surprised but this actually worked for me instantly. I have something on my desk that is like a pendulum but it's been here and I look at it everyday for the past year. I used it and first asked it to show me yes and no. After I saw two different movements I asked it a question I knew the answer to "is it wet outside" and "is it try outside" because it had just rained. It worked so I asked it a few more questions I knew the answers to and it's accurate! Thanks Harmony!

Where did you get your pendulum?✨
I have one pendulum and it's an Arrowhead necklace. I used to use a necklace but it got lost. I'd like to have a crystal one someday but this is what I work with for now. I don't connect with it as well but I still have a connection. I cleanse it in rain water when it's starting to let other energies cling to it. Literally anything works as a pendulum. Pendulums were my first entrance into witchcraft besides meditation and they're super easy to use when you get used to them. Don't let a lack of resources stop you from your practice!
Your mind does know and that's why. It's actually something we talked about in psychology. If you think side to side/up and down, the pendulum, without you trying, will move that way due to your hand listening to the brain. Therefore, in your subconscious, if you know the answer deep in your brain, your hand will listen and move in that way. So yes, this is a real thing. Just for the skeptics here.

Love love love my pendulum ❤️ I have tarot cards, runes, crystal balls etc and my pendulum is definitely my favorite divination tool because we connect so easily.
