I was at the home of a Greek friend. Her mother who spoke no English was visiting from Greece. We were sitting at the kitchen table drinking Greek coffee. (Yum). The second I finished my coffee, her mom grabbed my cup and started to read the grounds. She went on for about 10 minutes in Greek. I looked to my friend for an interpretation. All that conversation and all Doris would say is, “It’s all good “. WTH, she may have found the secrets to life in that coffee cup. I’ll never know. Suffice to say, when I say it’s Greek to me, I truly mean I don’t have a clue. 😂🤣😂

Sarah, that’s so cool that your family taught you. My grandmother helped me know that the things I could see and do weren’t common so I should keep my own countenance. Even at 5, I knew what she meant. Family can be a source of great understanding,…and laughter.

@@susandunaway8290 Thanks! I am 1000% with you there, family is what we start with when we are born and what we end with when it's our time. They are truly there for us during the worst and best of times. I'm so happy for the amazing connection you shared with your grandmother. She knew how special you are!!

Tea leaves always reminds me of that "I see a giraffe" scene from Coraline. 😆 This video reminded me for some reason how much I loved those Tipsy Tarot videos you had in the past.

You inspired me trying this out! One thing I've read about giraffes is that they eat from poisonous trees. The tree itself releases a poisonous substance every time a leaf is taken from it. However, giraffes are so quick to rip that off that they rip off the leaf before the toxin can be released, so they don't actually eat poisoned leaves, I hope it makes sense, in my native language it does. What it could mean in the tea reading is:" Thanks to your capability you managed to rip something off before it could become actually dangerous. It could've been, but you did it just in time". Also, to me birds speaks about messages from spirits, so i think that now she is sorrounded by protective spirits, ancestor and others

Where I'm from, we read coffee. You need turkish coffee for it, though. You drink the coffee, leave a bit of the liquid inside, then swirl, to loosen the settled coffee. Then you flip it along with a saucer. Wait about 10 minutes, turn it three times clockwise, and uncover. The base is the house, the side closest to you from the handle is your past, opposite is the future. It's fun and something all young adults do because... drama and love and mystic. Until you happen across a real old wise woman from a wee village up in the mountains, and she tells you things that chill you to the bone. True story. 😁 She also insisted she wasn't a witch. Ehm... right. 😏
Also, extra love to Olivia for the icelandic beanie with that delightful rune. 🖤 *a small beam of adopted country pride*

Oh my gosh! I totally needed to see this! I’ve been searching for someone online to teach me further on reading tea leaves but I kept running into dead ends because either the person was not available or they live in another country and only do in-person classes. I then thought, “You know what? I’ll leave it up to Spirit.” And then boom! This video showed up on my feed and I cannot be more grateful! Even though this was your crash course, you’ve definitely gave me so many new ideas about tassography that I never even thought about! 🤯 Thank you Olivia and Annie and Thank you Spirit! 🖤🖤🖤

I'm a baby in tasseography but thanks to you guys I've started to do it more regularly. It helps me clear my mind, organize my thoughts, focus my intentions, make sense of my worries, and opens my mind and perspective to new ideas and interpretations. It's enjoyable to work out what things could mean. I really enjoy it, and as a tea lover it's such an interesting activity. Thanks so much!

Man I just love all of your videos. This felt like SUCH an informative video. I’ve never really known much about reading leaves besides literally just looking at them. I found it difficult to find information on it so this crash course really helped get me started on what to look for in order to find more info on this. I feel like I’m definitely taking away a lot of information about this :)
Also I just gotta say, it’s awesome to see you guys in videos together, I love the vibe.

The plates are snazzy because they're Blue Willow China! Very traditional pattern from late 18th early 19th century England that was very popular in the here in the States too! My family has some that were from my Great Grandma. There's even came a (manufactured) fable to go with the patern!

The first tea leaf reading I ever did, basically all the leaves went onto the plate, but I didn’t know back then that the plate had any meaning and I was so disappointed in my reading at the time so I haven’t done one since. However since the reading, I ended my relationship with my ex, so I feel like now would be a good time to do a reading again.

I tried this along with this video. I had to do it twice, first time nothing came out on the plate and it was a big clumpy mess I could not see anything for. The second time everything came out in one big clump of a ball. I learned two things. One that tea I used was way to bitter and nasty so I had to use sweetener, and two a whole table spoon of tea was way to much for this tiny cup I have.

Because I burn sage but it gives me and other members of my family a headache. I’m smell/aroma sensitive sometimes and anything too strong gives me a headache. I love the smell of sage but it’s just so strong. I’m not sure if I need a smaller/thinner bundle that burns less at a time or what. If anyone have any recommendations that’d be so helpful
