Warren Mundine opens up about his abuse for opposing the Voice to Parliament

- Indigenous Advocate Warren Mundine says he contemplated taking his life because of the abuse he received for opposing the Voice to Parliament.
“I thought about my family, I thought about what that would do to them, and I stopped myself,” Mr Mundine told Sky News host Rowan Dean.

As a Aboriginal myself i was totally lost about the Voice campaign , But after seeing and hearing Warren Mundine and Jacinta Price it really shone a light on it for me. I want to thank Warren and Jacinta because exactly what they say is how i felt and feel . I was always going to vote NO , I see the yes vote as a racist vote that has already divided the country . If it wins it will totally destroy democracy. VOTE NO THATS THE GO .

I am in total agreement with you, and my reasons include the ones you state. My wife and I have been privileged to work with our Aboriginal people and found sincere friendship and lovely people whom we still have some contact with today. We knew Jacinta's parents too and found them sincere and dedicated professionals in their work. Vote NO.

Unfortunately, that is the stock in trade for those wishing to impose their will on the majority. They believe in democracy, diversity, tolerance etc only for those that support them. Say anything they do not approve of no matter how factual it is they will attack and attempt to destroy you. Warren, stand strong! I know EXACTLY how you feel. I too, planned twice and attempted once to end my life. I too, had only one reason to NOT proceed; family, and the impact on it. I was in tears watching this excerpt. I am so saddened that this matter is making someone as iconic as you to feel so bad that they see no other way out. The other thing that has kept me going in my own personal fight, is "don't let the bastards win!!". That thought is often in the back of my mind when I'm feeling like there is no other option.
