@@JudithHunt-t7u you do realise infrastructure, rules and doctrines need to evolve over time to progress right? So does the constitution. Mr. Mundine's experience based common sense cuts through the raft of nonsense and hype in the debate. His points ring true. Education. Economic participation. Reparation where appropriate. 55% of Australia already Indigenous owned and more on the way where appropriate. Mundine's voice is the voice Australia should be listening to.
I think the thing that had the biggest impact on me about his speech was near the end. He pointed out how this could divide the country after the vote and regardless of the votes outcome, there's real work that needs to be done. Will it get done or will this token effort sate their enthusiasm? Also ASPI has suggested the Misinformation and Disinformation bill to government for government to rubber stamp and pass through awarding more power over our ability to communicate with each other. I hope we can imprison anyone who approves of this bill in government as that is gross over reach and it needs to stop. Hope you all have a lovely day

@@JudithHunt-t7u Thanks for replying, I do appreciate more than "Irrelevant". I think it's quite possible that the voice could improve things. Warren Mundine is very much mistaken in his thinking on this issue, and yes, quite possibly deluded - his fixed attitude is not open to the possibility that he could be wrong - in my opinion, he is completely wrong - what a tragedy - he is letting his own people down and potentially misleading Australians who might think Mundine has some "inside" knowledge - shame shame shame.
I really enjoyed that- I think he’s right about education and getting all the kids into school- an older lady I work with said at the end of her education she asked her friend who she went through schooling with and was Aboriginal what she planned to do for work now they had finished school and was surprised when she shrugged and said ‘nothing! We don’t need to find jobs we just get paid to stay at home’- there were no expectations that that girl would ever get a job, buy a house, pay taxes or aspire to do great things. I think Warren and Jacinta Nampijinpa Price are great examples of getting to the top and I believe they can turn us all into one from many - a great time to be alive🫡
This man is becoming painful to listen to. One day he might wakeup and have to come to terms with the damage he has done to the indigenous people of this country. His people supposedly?
@@Barb467 So if 80% of indigenous believe it is a good idea we ignore them and listen to Price and Mundine? If the indigenous people of this country had been offered a treaty 200 years ago Mundine would have voted against it? It is a complete disgrace this country does not have a treaty. A voice is a very small step along the way. Price has made it very clear she is in the pay of the extreme right. Mundine may not be that bad but he is wrong on who is causing division.
Clear. Concise. Precise. Articulate.
And on the wrong side. Self interest, ego > over his people.
Yes, Mundine's logic points were irrelevant to THIS issue - vote "Yes" to changing the constitution, go somewhere else to make other changes

Those stats are debatable
