Media influence in korea you mean k pop influence but korea also has the same issues as India or China or USA. Only difference is India shows the truth but other countries don't. China , USA and korea have slums too but they are not shown in the media but India does.

U may have been to india but totally failed to understand india; comparing our intensions, reason to keep military big, social issues & path we following for future as similar to US is very typical western way to look at us from surface level & no real understanding about us as a country, as a rich cultural heritage holding oldest civilization, a diverse complex giving nation (which in its 1000s of yrs of history never showed aggression/attacked first on anybody) very different from mindset, understanding, perspective of westerners to look at things.
When we or our leaders/govt talk abt our future goal/ambitions as a nation we never use words like "superpower" or its equivalent in hindi/other regional language but use word "Vishwaguru" mean global teacher from which many other countries (specially developing ones) can learn gud things like a truly ideal country example we want to be (not just showoff as US) and never use word "Vaishvik mahaShakti" mean World superpower

15:27 out of the entire video i only disagree with this. Education in India isn't as hard as people think even for the lower casts. In fact, its opposite. The lower casts have massive education schemes from the government as well as reservations in government collages. And they also get education loans pretty easily because they have special incentives. And as for private collages, its a total meritocracy. If you're good you can get scholarships. I myself went to a government school upto 12th 95% free. And now doing graduation with no issues.

Yeh the low casts get easy seats in best of best colleges be it private or govt even at low scores than so called upper caste, almost no college fees or very subsidised with scholarships plus they have reservations in jobs as well and I think this is one of the reasons that pulling back india from reaching its best potential as high scorer ppl with best knowledge, potential not able to reach their deserving right place in education or in job so some not achieve their best potential skill to contribute for the nation which some others move out in other developed nations with that high knowledge & skill, to avoid reservation system of india and to get their skill based deserving education & job positions there where everyone given equal chance and favor in these; Today its not even the case anymore (atleast at large majority) that lower caste r very oppressed, discriminated socially or The upper class r richest holding so much social wealth while lower class r dirt poor, infact due to reservations everywhere in everything in the country (specially in education & job sector) for decades now the scenerio become lil opposite with lower caste r quite happy in gud position financially while upper caste struggling.
PS:- I'm Obc still i don't like resevation system coz it was gud as temporary thing in past but now its bearing unfairness to opposite side and not helping our country eventually to be at its best.

Every point you make is valid, but India has the advantage of planning ahead of every bad situation that may arrive in the future, including a disaster like a pandemic. Also most of the Indian population, though becoming increasingly literate, lack basic hard working ethic that's required to propel a country's economy. Most of them want reservation by caste, subsidies in everything, cheap or free electricity and food etc. Freebies have become a new headache for the government.

For India its no longer brain drain. There are many talented people to work here as well as go abroad. The talent pool has widened immensely.
According to the current minister of external affairs, S. Jaishankar, India does not want to get back the brain or stop the drain, but instead make it possible for the expat diaspora to smoothly do business across India and their adoptive nation.

4:06 That won't happen in case with india as what's happening with china today after ppl there demanding workers rights & more labour pay bcoz Firstly China is still majorly export based economy with very lil contribution of domestic consumption as total percentage of their gdp while in Case of india it's domestic consumption percentage as part of total gdp is already way higher than export percentage or just manufacturing & real state based; Also as india is democracy with strong labour laws so workers rights won't be compromised from the day1 itself unlike in case of China so no worries there, yeh labour pay may rise but as we will be growing with strong domestic consumption demand & equally focus on hi-tech value goods production plus services rather than just building most of our gdp on only manufacturing, exports & real estate (unnecessary infra like ghost town to artificially drive growth), so we can sustain like US or european countries where labour pays r high and not much manufacturing based economy but just production of hi-tech value goods, services & very high domestic consumption as backbone which is case with any developed long term economically stable nations.

  • @spilltea4241
    @spilltea4241 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Its not as simple as u think it is.
Europe is rich because it outsourced its labour and resource exploitation to its colonies, when Europe was destroyed after War, US poured in money to rebuild western europe. US became rich because of slavery and military industrial complex. US keeps propping up wars to keep up its economy and it wldnt be shocking if US turned around India if India actually catches up coz US did the same with Japan and now with China. Also US infrastructure is the reason why it became an economic superpower so quickly in the first place.
India started liberalizing its economy in 1992 but its being in phases, instead of doing it in one go. Indian economy is still largely regulated and socialist in nature, and its a reason why India isnt booming like China coz to start a business is a tedious process with red tapes, bureaucracy and corruption.
The part of Mukesh Ambani's house being infront poverty striken slum is just a lie. Antillia is located in Altamount Road, which is like the billionaires row of Mumbai. The only thing Antilia is infront of, is other billionaire apartments.
Also no ones really dying anymore due to poverty, coz while people may earn a lot less money to live a standard life, multidimensional poverty (which calculates other aspects of living like hunger, housing and employement) in India is below 1%.
India is neighbours with 2 hostile nations: Pakistan and China. India has already fought 4 wars with Pakistan and 2 wars with China, so military is a very important part to ensure India's existence. Terrorism is also a big issue, more than 9000 Indians hv died in last 15years due to terrorist attacks. The largest extremist group is the Naxalites (armed communist fighters) in central and eastern India, funded by China and Pakistan, coincidentally most active in the resource rich regions of India.
Infrastructure is ofc important, because for decades India has lagged behind because of bad infrastructure. Seamless infrastructure ensures lower logistical costs and cheaoer trade, not just with the world but also within Indian states. It is important to connect the hinterlands with ports. Its not a coincidence that the poorest regions of India r also land locked, while richest regions of coastal.
The part about incone inequality is very true, Indian middle class is disappearing and something needs to be done about it. India also needs to spend more on education and health. Currently india sounds less than 1.5% of its GDP in education and thats awfully less than what it shld be.
I think Indians being high networth persons in western countries is relevant because these non resident Indians r the largest investors in India. Indians immigrants also generate the largest remittances in the entire world and contributes atleast 1.5% of the GDP.

India was about 25% of the world economy before the British. There's a reason Columbus went on a stupid trip looking for India through waters. There's a reason the Romans much before that complained that their gold was going to India to satisfy the needs of their women for fashion. There's a reason that after getting the European leech of their back, India is being disparaged as a country that both is so terrible but also taking jobs.

With China's urban population already in excess of 900 million people, "even a small portion of subsiding land in China could therefore translate into a substantial threat to urban life," said the team of researchers led by Ao Zurui of the South China Normal University.

9:00 c'mon guys 😂 If Indians are making more money than the native people of a country, then obviously it proves that Indians are smart, but that also means that they are sending some of that huge money they are earning abroad back to India as we value our traditions and maintain our relations with the family unlike western countries.. For statistics, almost 200 Billion USD came back to India from Indians living abroad just in the last 1-2 years.. These numbers are the highest and it's more than double than the second highest earning demographic group 😂

Hard power will always be important. You gave example of korea but their entire security depends upon america. Right now smallest countries or countries with less military power are not safe. Take example of ukraine, taiwan. Why some europian countries with high standard are trying to join NATO?. For india with two hostile nuclear neighbours military will always be important. You are right we should definitely focus on social development. But if you don't have muscle to protect your citizen then no use of such social development

    Major problems with US family
    Values. Day n night difference.
Eg divorce 30% in US n India 1.3% Indian parents have more tolerance towards each other.
This has vast effect on child growth n education .Second worse thing US is putting their nose in other countries issues n pumping / wasting
    Taxpayers money.
Theird is no other country will match

india may naturally overtake some countries , but this narrative is not entirely correct , there is a great power in culture of the Indians in the way how they use money and save while capitalism is in the play . infrastructure will bring more capital in developing social development and infra. which is already happening since the current government came to power , the military spending is big but not that big actually . infact it will reduce as India already ihas begun manufacturing its own war equipments , India also spends on space tech at a very small percentage and making great achievements . i feel the Patience is inbuilt in indian culture and , we are also observant that nothing happens with a magic vond for 1.3 billion people controlled by not police with guns but wiith only a stick which they dont carry . even than this country is less lawless in a democratic environment compared to other developed countries having far less population than India. that should speak volumes about india resilience and attitude . main stream media can say what they want expanding only on the negatives, thats because they are in business. i as a common man am optimistic .btw there are many poor looking people who are wealthier than you think , its not the cloths of fassion culture they have but believe in simplicity . there are beggers in india but compared to our population they are a very small fraction of whom many are in business .

Today's focus on difference between the high earners vs low earners is such a distraction. If there is economic mobility available for the lower half, income equality shouldn't be an issue anyways.
This whole talk of top x% owning so much doesn't result in anything productive. If the lives of the people in the bottom rung is improving in absolutes, its a win for that country, be it through policy, technology or anything. If this is true, then it will not matter if the top 1% are 10000 times richer than bottom 20%. Its not a zero sum game.
Just stating, india might have had the largest number of poor people. But india has lifted around half a billion people out of poverty in the last 20 years and has almost completely eradicatted extreme poverty today.
India has one of the largest middle classes already, hence so many companies want to set up shops in india. And the size of this middle class is also growing at one of the fastest rates. If this could be sustained, then india is winning.
Also investing in the millitary is a necessity and the duty of the state. Pacifism doesn't really work. We have not just been colonized by the brits, but the turkik invasions were the first ones. Turks were the first colonizers of india. All that because the original indian state had slowly become a pacifist state and a divided regime.
When the ancient indian state was a millitary superpower, so many invasions were thwarted by the greeks and the turks. Only when our defences started to soften up, these forces could capture the indian sub continent. The modern indian state, which is not anywhere near the might of the ancient india, just connot afford to not invest in millitary.

Kushans, hellenic greeks, persians, mongols all conquered India or parts of India in the past. Even within India, kingdoms plundered and looted other kingdoms. For example Tamil Sena dynasty looted modernday Odissa, Bihar and Bengal, destroyed Buddhist temples and massacred thousands of Buddhists inorder to revive Hinduism. Even the Marathas plundered Andhra Pradesh and Bengal.
Colonialism is different from ruling. Britain only saw India as a source of cash, previous invaders saw India as an empire thus it was in their best interest to keep the country prosperous. Dont forget India became the richest country under Mughal Empire.

@@spilltea4241 Lol, ancient india didn't became richest under mughal, infact it slipped to #2 below china in terms of wealth and not bcoz china grew but coz our wealth didn't grew instead majorly spended by mughals for their lavishes, united india was #1 richest in world since centuries BCE aka even before 1st AD/CE counting started and it continued till 1700s but then slipped to second under mughal then further destroyed under Brits.

You dont get the main point when you comment about Indians going to other countries and being more successful. Its not about money that an avg Indian earns twice as much as an avg American in US. Its about soft power.
The day there are 40 to 60 million Indians in US etc, the top companies CEO apart from IT, the US govt representatives and perhaps even the future US President would be of Indian origin. Then in next 50 years to come US will become a shadow of India with temples, vegetarianism, yoga, sanatan dharma beliefs and festivals being celebrated in a huge manner in US.
    The change is here....
Get ready to see hi di being spoken in US streets after English and Spanish in NY and LA commonly in years to comeby buddies...

lol no, hindus follow it as their dharma to work honestly with dedication towards their karma bhumi & their job post like of politican/leader for the ppl of that land, so they will always do things in favor of US ppl not in bring their personal behave, belief or culture way but in western way only. So, indians earning more in foreign than their natives or any other ethnicity is nothing to do with that but its just small fact to proof that if given same opportunities, social, economic & innovative conditions indians will stand out or can outdo many other ethnicities, so its just a matter of time when they start get similar conditions, opportunities in own land then they will bloom more than any western/developed nation population

    12:18 US is very capitalist nation Unlike india which is still overwhelmingly socialist constitutionally, by governmental policies or even the common majority ppl that mock businessmen, like freebies, social welfare programs and emphasize on socialist idea of equality, showing empathy for poor & has always been supportive of social welfare policies to continue since independence, even ours leaders since day 1 were highly idolized extreme socialism so bought policies favouring that which showed its negative impact in terms of red tapism, license raj & so corruption, harmed productivity and innovation in business, on our financial growth as nation & its potential plus bought it near to bankruptcy, they even thought to completely dismantle military or army by foolishly thinking that if we ain't a threat & gud to everybody then others will remain so too with us but their this utopic delusion soon vanished with back to back major wars with China & Pakistan (US-UK were backing them against india) when india was still quite in fragile condition coping from losses of colonisation, So today india unfortunately needs to invest in defence as well instead of setting all saint coz even tho we want peace, it can only be there as long as to defend us we have bigger or atleast equal size stick as the aggressor but that doesn't mean india reduced its tons of social programs at all (our 3rd largest budget is still only $75 billion which is less than 1/3 of china defense budget who's at 2nd position) So our military is solely to defend ourselves & not assert might on others as superpower;
Whereas US don't even have any major neighbouring security threat still just to maintain its super power status by meddle in other parts of world issues, to assert their might & dominance in other parts of world and make big power enemies in other side of world in race of continuing his hegemony so do that military spending.

U talk about korea or belgium having social, culture influence plus many big global companies, do read their histories of rising from poor to richiee specially of S.korea like 'the miracle of Han river', u will know how the extremely capitalist path they followed, exploited workers at worse, give power to chaebols (generationally wealthy or wealth inherited business families) at major positions in politics so every political policies were to strengthen them further that as result provided education, skill, jobs & income for their poor masses, plus SK got some technology transfers, money to rebuild basic stuff & so on as compensation from Japan (while Shameless Brits left india mocking that we won't able to continue as one country for long, created kashmir dispute for us to keep fight within ourself forever & were even came with their nuclear fleets along to US against india in indian ocean to help pak during 1971 indo-pak war, didn't returned what they still have in their thief market "the national museum of britain" but shamelessly earning from tickets pay by visitors to see it) which they distribute to their wealthy businesses to take advantage from & contribution to yield more for their economic growth, they let their domestic companies grow at global scale while smartly restrict global companies get much of hold in domestic market initially till their domestic companies get most of domestic market hold & reach level to compete foreign companies in quality, They r also a small strictly homogenous nation with no diversity or inclusivity at all which is pretty easy to manage compared to large diverse india, And most importantly they have been always backed/supported by US as its best like giving much of their company, culture, entertainment, products easy access to US market, help them in everyway techwise, militarily so they don't need spend there, always portrayed/promoted by US & its media in sweet positive light as they almost like colony state of imperialist US aka not really free While India never got supported by US (infact US acted against us throughout 90s), we've independent foreign policies, diplomacy, military, views & stand in global issues. SK do have big soft power today which we can learn from but that global soft power of theirs is also somewhat result of their hungry capitalist environment to earn as much out of their every part of human resources financially.
