Little known fact
There was a cut content where you could put ED-E into Fisto and have him as a Romance partner that gave the option to "test out all his functions are in order..." for free instead of paying 10 caps to Garretts each time

I remember buying the official FNV guide when the game came out. MOST of the information was outdated. The guide was useless.

It's interesting how small irrelevant props like a wall spray or a single barrel would end up being deleted. Trying their hardest to optimize the game performance for final release?

@@zeallust8542 yea console sucks I recently got a mid tier laptop and even unmodified it runs fnv at max graphics at like 100fps. On console i had to stream it at like 720p lol

Growing up I didn’t have internet for a few years so when I played fallout NV I always had little differences between my version and my friends copy
Me too I swore the securitron that does the credit check used to be in the alley near the gate not at the gate but it isn't like that now
i played on 360 without patches for a year or so. a few years later, i played on PC and thought i was going insane because a lot things were different.

Non exploding cars are also more lore friendly. True nuclear cars were just starting out when the bombs dropped, and ones intact enough to go boom would be even rarer.
Fallout 4 downtown: i do not recognise established lore and choose to do my own thing
One correction: at 10:00, that's a regular R91 Assault Rifle. The CAR has a very different looking stock.

The Strip was terribly underwhelming. I actually found the third area with Michaelangelo and the NCR MP base to be the most explorable. Interestingly enough Michaelangelo also encourages the player to do some simple exploring halfway across the map for a stupidly high amount of XP, some caps, and Strip fame. The insides of Gomorrah and Ultra Luxe were also fun to explore, especially since I had to be careful due to being practically unarmed from a low sneak skill and so few holdout weapons.

I kinda wish they'd kept the peace-sign smoke chimneys as a Wild Wasteland encounter. It's a cool visual.
Like... a hallucination of pre-war hippie ghosts caught forever wailing in agony as the world burned, or something. With that dark contrast of how unscathed the Mojave was in comparison for the player/Currier.
You can tell a game is good when the community around it can find 2 beer bottles and ammo creates interesting

Fallout 3's animation wasn't reused for running, it's not what we saw in that pre-release but it's still a new animation. I vastly preferred Fallout 3's animation over both, though. Most, if not all actual movement animations are new, not reused. I'm only speaking for the movement animations like swimming, running, etc. I don't remember if sneaking is. Heck, even the walking animations are quite different between games.
I must have beat this game 20 times but i never ever get tired of this. I wonder if we would have been enthralled as we are now with this game had these features been added
Fallout New Vegas remastered or sequel is rumored to be in development but its nit confirmed just leaks

My first play through still feels vividly different than later ones. This was on release. In my mind there was different content somewhere but im probably imagining it
We recently discovered all the differences between the Xbox release and the PC release. PS3 is still a mystery tho, apart from the times port changes were scripted, which wasn't that often.
When I see how obsidian would delete items from the word after updates or before release it reminds me of when I'm building an over budget build on fallout 4 and its laggy so I have to go around deleting random bits of decoration to fix it lol.
The fact you are able to continue to find so much interesting stuff about FNV is legitimately inspirational

Every time I get excited to replay this game, I remember how hollow it is, outside of Dialogue. Imagine what this game could have been, with 2 more years dev time. Makes me sad. New Vegas story with Fallout 3 world space quality would have been god tier.
I have a long standing (at this point) ritual of sitting down and watching these videos in the evening with my favourite wheat beer.
I hope you never get tired or bored of making these, because they're great "reads" and really interesting

Imagine the potential this game had if they allowed a few more months of development.
Gaming itself lost a little bit of history due to that, New Vegas had potential to become one of the best games of all time.
The game engine limited the potential of the game sadly.
I didn't have like, real internet growing up, so I played this game on PS3 on launch patch for a long time and remember some of this stuff still being in game tbh

I made a discovery for FNV cut content wise. The post game dialogue with Colonel Moore is accessible in the vanilla game. During the 2nd battle for Hoover Dam I spied Moore on the overlook outside power plant 1 and no clipped over to her with the tcl command. All dialogue for post game is intact and makes me wonder if other post game lines are available in vanilla game.
I've been waiting for this, I love your channel. I hope one day when you are done covering all the content FNV has we see some F3 or whatever other games you happen to like. Thanks for making these videos TriangleCity.

Pendantic complaint: That was the stock of the regular Fallout 3 Assault Rifle. Wonder if originally they planned to include all of the Fallout 3 weapons or if this is just placeholder.

I don’t think those animations were cut bc of crunch, I’m very sure they were cut because of hardware limitation. Particularly memory. The fact that they were able to get new Vegas as is to work on console at the time is mind blowing considering all of the content it has. To my understanding, the bulk of cut content from the game goes back to simply not having enough memory to work with on consoles

Seeing these videos gives we hope that me might get a FNV reloaded, meaning all the original game is there and remastered but they also include most of the cut content that they didn't have time to implement

Some of the worst instances of false advertising in video game history. Caesars dresser and the tire stack at goodsprings were the only reasons I got fallout NV.

10:27 - the floating rocks were in my Xbox 360 version of the game, they eventually patched it out, but my save was corrupt and they remained there

The stock at 9:45 is actually the regular Assault Rifle, or R91. Though the model of the Chinese Assault Rifle exists in the Gomorrah quest where you destroy the weapons cache. Still, I wish both weapons were included in the final game, I mean who doesn't want more guns?

Idk, it's possible they're in one of the console versions or maybe that you were running the Pre-release Restored mod which brings them back, but they were never present in any publicly released PC version of FNV

Listen, at least the battle rife IS in the game and if you have the ultimate edition with all the DLC it really doesn't matter if it was cut from being a generic base game weapon.
Wasn't hard to get this machine though. I never minded having to get it that way before GRA came out. Ontop of the fact that this machine is just a better version of the battle rifle anyway, making it kind of redundant unless you can't be bothered doing the 20 minute long mini quest. I feel the same way with That Gun being so easy to obtain that its GRA generic version is pretty much pointless

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter..the cut content of Fallout New Vegas matters though we'll never see it shine as it should have we can dream and take solace in the fact that there is a real possibility Obsidian will get to make another Fallout.. For now my fellow wild underdog daydreamers who run hot and burn bright let us appreciate those modders and youtubers who continue to fight the good fight. Someday their names will vanish but their work will continue to live on. When you made my people smile you made me smile.
